Is this still on Source or did they make their own engine? I'm kind of wary of buying multiplayer games because I don't want to spend $60 and then have it die in a couple months.

Pretty sure it's still Source, but they've really improved it a LOT.

Search Titanfall 2 on store and select see all the options, it will be there (I don't know how is the option called exactly, I don't have the console on english)

They rebuilt the engine from the first game

Searching through the console just shows the actual game page, but searching on the webpage through my PC does show the Tech Test and allow me to send it to my PS4 for download.

Been playing the early access tech test, and from what i can tell they were changed so you get the option to amp your weapon on the fly after you get a couple of kills

Have they said anything about them? I'm a bit conflicted on burn cards. On one hand it was fun to use some rare 'OP' cards, but on the other, it was a bit of a pain to get them, keep setting them up, and then you don't always want to use your rare stuff, because the rest was kinda useless. When they introduced the option to automatically equip burn cards it really helped, but it was still an odd design choice.

Depends on how you consider higher power hardware on PC affecting this. There are several games this gen that will run better on PC but you need high end hardware to do it. Games like Saint's Row 2 and a bunch of other games at various times barely ran on PC at all.

EA is handling distribution, they have nothing to do with the actual production of the game. Respawn are part of EA's Partners Program which Valve used to publish HL2 on consoles.
