What do you guys think of Enderal so far?
I'm about 5 hours in, really enjoying it. More engaging in the first hour than Skyrim ever was.

The launcher keeps crashing when I try to run it and I don't know why, can some one help? I pirated Skyrim
How do I get this game to not run like absolute dog shit?
>that elitist poetry guy
I'm almost 30 hours in (level 22). Still having a lot of fun, though the lack of sidequests is kind of disheartening. It's kind of sad exploring all these farms and villages with no one to talk to, and just some shitty loot. But maybe it gets better in the higher level areas. About to finally continue with the main quest since I arrived at Ark. I've done most of the sidequests there.
...
no matter how much they change it, it's still shitty old skyrim
Happens with the new update, happened to me and I just launch the game using skse
...
...
I still don't know what the fuck this thing is
...

...
Same, there are hardly any sidequests and most of them are incredibly short.
It must be bright as fuck inside those buildings
...
The level design is probably the most impressive part of the mod. I've worked with the Creation Kit (and the CS for Morrowind and Oblivion) many times and it's not very user friendly. Their render windows must have been a mess.
I must admit I got used to ENB Skyrim
That lightning right here is just Oblivion bad
...
>ENB Skyrim
You mean the oversaturated, bloomy Skyrim?
A village that actually feels like a village and not a grid!
At first I really liked how there was no fast travel, but now I just kinda think it's annoying.
good thing most shops sells teleport scrolls
...
Nehrim was about the same, the game is definitely a dungeon crawler with an expansive main quest. Thankfully most of the time the sidequests tend to be really good.
I remember Nehrim having that horrifying tower defense game, anything similar?
>Doesn't know how to tweak his own ENB
>Thinks ENB is static and looks like all those shitty Vaseline shots.
There's so much cool stuff in the Undercity but it's all shallow. Think I found maybe 2 quests down there. There's nothing to do in this brothel, for example. Can't even hire an escort or rent a room. Literally no reason to go in there.
There's also an Arena area that's locked. I hope they plan to implement it soon. I know they're working on the Thieves' Guild-esque questline after they fix the bugs in the main quest (according to a forum post).
Nehrim had a lot of locked up places that got updated later. They had an entire other act to the main quest in the later updates.
I remember the arena in the desert city
>Disarmed the champion and then beat him to death with his own sword
>did it to the big-titted earth spirit thing that was supposedly invincible too
Well that's a good sign. There's so much potential here.
Hell, I'm tempted to pop on the Creation Kit myself once I finish this character and add some things. Hopefully others have the same idea and start porting some of the better Skyrim mods over, especially the combat-oriented ones.
>not very user friendly
I used CS, it's literally legos so a 3y/o could do a playable level in 5 minutes
Creating simple levels with already-existing pieces is really easy sure, but adding this level of complexity and customization must take ages. And the render window being a clusterfuck doesn't help.
That's odd. I could swear I saw an interview where they said they were putting in more side content than they had in Nehrim.
There probably are more sidequests and dungeons and things to do than Nehrim. Nehrim had very few sidequests as well.
>Can't even hire an escort or rent a room. Literally no reason to go in there.
Well that's disappointing. Someone posted a short video of it in another thread and I remember seeing that one of the brothel prostitutes was named, so I thought maybe there might be a quest involving her or at least that she'd be hireable.
So with questlines in mind, that's about 25ish quests?
How many does Enderal have?
Looking at the CK, around 40.
Does Enderal offer more dialogue choices? Nehrim had basically no role-playing in its player dialogue.
Yes, and companions react to those choices.
Good to hear. Thanks. I liked Nehrim, but the lack of actual role-playing was disappointing.
Is there a way to talk to that jasfar guy without blatantly hitting on him? I want him to stay and be a bro but all my character could say is "2 bad u have to leave there will b one less handsum stud here ;)" and it's pretty cringy
You clearly picked the gay race at the beginning
what
At the beginning, when Sirius asked you what race your mother was, you clearly told him your mother's race was gay. So now you're gay.
fuck
Why would you tell someone your mother is gay user?
I hope this isn't what they were talking about when they implied the mod might have romances.
I didn't mean to. I just thought the rich people from the spice islands sounded like a cool place to be from
No no, he's half gay on his mother's side.
Dunno about Enderal, I decided to play Nehrim first. And it's really good. Not perfect, but solid. I hope Enderal is better.
>Talking to Jespar when he's upset over plot point
>Never romanced him before
>Tell him I am his friend
"What can I get from you I can't get from one of the whores here"
>mfw
So what kinds of mods can work with Enderal? I'm mostly thinking of More Hotkeys Please, EZ2C Dialogue Menu, and maybe a clothing mod if Enderal's mage robes don't look good to me.
I've also heard it has an extensive crafting system. Can I make magic staves? What about quarterstaves?
He didn't meant that in a sexual way silly. He means that he can't be friends with whores.
Installed a bunch of sexlab mods and made myself a redguard.
Time to ficki ficki me some German women
For the record, because I guess I missed it in the intro, is it tied to the actual race, or is it a different variable? Like are the dudes from that spice island the confirmed gay race or was it a separate question
that place looked like it was foreshadowing something
This is making it sound like you can choose your character's background as well as their race. Is that true? I love stuff like that.
I have no idea dude. I just found out my character was gay. *I* didn't even know my character was gay.
I wonder if this is how parents feel
Congratulations.
I hope it doesn't mean they're handling companions the way Bioware often does, where you can't simply be nice to them without going into a romance.
