It's been several years since I played a racing videogame and I wanna drift, any suggestion Sup Forums?
I don't have 360, One or PS4, everything else is fine.

Why do racing wheels have to be so expensive? I want to durifto samurai with my VR headset and a wheel for full immersion.
Asetto Corsa
IS IT A HEARTBEAT?
WH-OA-OH
Drifting is fun in the need for speed reboot.
Grid has a decent drift mode, at least the first one. Never played the other in the series tho
YOU BETTER TAKE YOUR CHANCES RIGHT NOW
BEAT OF THE RISING SUN
I live in a shithole 3rd world country and they're really expensive here, but in the US and euro they're really cheap. Like, 50 dollars for a DFGT, they cost half of the minimum wage around here and are already discontinued, a G27 costs way more than the double of it here ;_;
Check if there's an arcade with an Initial D machine near you

just go play initial d at an arcade
Buy I need something like this that has feedback on the wheel.

Does forza horizon have as good or better than forza3 drifting? I'm slightly interested in the third one coming out on pc now.
Nothing unless I travel to other country it seems.
Looks interesting, but I prefeer 3D racing. I'll check out Asseto, the NfS reboot and Grid.
While more suggestions keep coming, post favorite Initial-D song.

Outrun 2006 GOAT if you haven't yet
DID SOMEONE JUST SAY EUROBEAT
So, the DFGT has it, plus 900ยบ rotation. It doesn't have clutch pedal nor H-shift, it's the most advanced model of a good brand among the basic wheels that cost under 100
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE MISSION IMPOSSIBLE
...
buy a e36 compact, cheaper than a racing setup :^)
>drifting with FWD
my sides
GAS GAS GAS
Just do it
Forza Horizon is more arcadey than the simcade of Forza. But FH2 had a giant drifting scene, which has moved on to F6 in the meantime.
Asetto corsa also has a big drifting community with mods.
Is Project CARS any good?
No.
It feels very wrong to see an anime girl drive. Maybe because their IQ is below 50 and they would be dangerous on the streets.
DO YOU LIKE
MY CAR
Asetto Corsa all the way
Their engine programmer is an old pilot who love drifting and you can have the AE86
DiRT Rally
WHEELPOWER AND GO
SQUEEL TIRES COME ON
That sounds pretty good, thanks user.
Too many racing tracks I like this one because it only has exciting mountain trails instead of boring racing tracks. Though the money grind is shitty as fuck to earn new cars.
Is that tokyo xtreme racer drift?
You can get touges in Assetto though.
Initial D games for PS3.
The game isn't about collecting cars. It's about learning to drive the car you have. I have bought one car per era and it's been more than fantastic mastering the cars on the track. Don't think you have to collect eah and everyone. You just need one of each type. Fwd. Rwd. AWD. Rear mount engine.
The car selection is just based on test
Yeah it was pretty fun and it even felt rally good with a controller. Was there really no way pick your favorite track? There was this night stage I wanted to practice because it was really hard, damaging your front light basically made it impossible to continue but I couldn't practice it because there was no selection.

Anyone got any tips for drifting n gran turismo? It seems turning off traction control and fiddling with the diffrential is the way forward but i can never get the limited slip diff to work like a welded or a locked diff.
>everything else is fine
Outrun 2/Coast to Coast. Preferably the Xbox versions.
Can't say I checked in Custom Event as I've only played championships. Might wanna check on Google or forums.
Sorry!
Turn off all driving assist and use ebrake a lot. I also find AWD drift better than rwd for some reason in gt
Set to min/max/max set rear toe to zero and crank camber on front and rear up a bit. Setting weight distribution as close to 50/50 as possible helps too
For PC, are the only modern options Dirt Rally and NFS 2016? Enjoyed Dirt 3, but it's no fun always playing Rally. Apprehensive about NFS because >EA, and not looking for hyper realistic simulators like Assetto Corsa.
how excited are we for Horizon 3 lads
So from the responses so far, the most popular game is Asseto Corsa.
And then I should give Outrun a shot, and maybe import Initial-D games for PS3.
Sounds good?
kill yourself
Asseto is the most realistic yeah give it a shot.
Grid or maybe the mainline (not Horizon) Forza games are good if you want a more arcadey feel.
d2 on second life
...
Arcade Stage 3 emulates pretty darn well on Demul. Just make sure you disable the NESYS system in the test menu.
Sorry, got confused, just disable the Cards. NESYS is a Taito thing.
SPEED SPEED LOVER
[COOL VIBRATIONS]
Cool but dangerous
Best racing game came out years ago, no need to play anything else

Boy do I have the solution for you.
so project cars or dirt rally?
>Windows just started spying with 10
bretty gud
That's amazing
What is with the unironic love for this thing on Sup Forums? I mean I loved it as a kid but I don't remember it much, what sets it apart from other kart racers?
The drifting and jumping mechanics give a lot of depth. You can go full turbo if you're skilled enough.
>zenius-i-vanisher.com
I'm surprised there aren't any in Montreal or Quebec city
t. Quebecker
In my town, there was a machine arcade of Stage ver 2 but it was replaced a couple of years ago by another game since it was almost always defect.
Dirt rally, you can get shitloads of drifto there.
the cast including the unlockable characters is also 10/10
>Why do racing wheels have to be so expensive?
Get a cheap one. You still get the feeling of turning something and pushing pedals with your legs. If you like the hobby enough, you can later invest in a much better wheel.
>there is a shitton of arcades in my state
aww yeaa
only good reason to live in texas

Need for speed the Run

already played (and enjoyed) The Run
I'm not OP btw
Just add eurobeat and you are golden.

>already played (and enjoyed) The Run
Well to be honest, you can drift in practically any game, all you really need is eurobeat and the desire to drift.
So you should pick the game you want based on the setting (is it on the country side or city for instance)
Though as far as I know grid 1 and 2 are very easy to drift in as well and they are pretty arcade.
Unless he live in canada drifting a 318ti is going to hard
Burnout paradise city is great.
NFSU
How's the latest hot pursuit and rivals compared?
>a drifting game came out on steam recently
>it's some trash with a sky camera and shit mini-games tracks
fuck you too
Get fivereborn for GTA V. It's like gta san andreas multiplayer but for gta 5. There is a drift server with custom cars and custom maps like Akina, Akagi etc. It's pretty fun.
Is Grid 2 better than Grid 1?
I havent played racing games this decade
