I thought some NPC somewhere told it to you. I don't remember, I just know I figured that out when I was just a kid.

guide books

you weren't? You were just supposed to play and if he evolved it was cool, your friend would probably have him evolve into another form

How were you supposed to figure this out?

...

Lee > Top > Chan
Who would win in a fight, Venosaur or Torterra?

Once you finish the Radiant Gardens subquest it becomes pretty obvious, your Ivysaur should already be at Grass Omega rank and if you upgrade its Seed Aura to max then it just comes naturally.

How were you supposed to figure this out?

I was stuck at this for three fucking hours, HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW????

Torterra if it can get its jaws around Venusaur.

Otherwise, Venusaur.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Mega Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Torterra: 186-219 (47.2 - 55.5%) -- 74.2% chance to 2HKO

Venusaur outspeeds Torterra and kills it.
Even if it had to use 3 hits, it still wins since fully defensive Torterra can't do anything to Venusaur.

scratch that, im retarded
252+ SpA Choice Specs Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Torterra: 162-192 (41.1 - 48.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

banded torterra wins always.

I can't believe you fucking nerds take Pokemon this seriously. Last time I played I was 10 and it was as simple as fire>water and whatnot

get out normie

It baffles me too, user.

>Ask a question
>receive a proper answer
>"WOW SUCH FUCKING NERDS OMG"
Just fuck off you retarded frogposter

Alright calm down buddy, feel free to go calculate the statistics of Charmander using Ember with +5 dexterity using a regression model at a 95% confidence interval if that's your thing.

Competitive pokemon is a magnet for autists, glad I quit playing on pokemon showdown years ago tbqh

I watched the anime or some shit to learn that Tyrogue and Hitmontop existed so I traded my Hitmonchan over from RBY and started breeding. I didn't know about the attack/defense shit though but I eventually got them all.

>"wow why are you knowledgeable about something?"
>shitty low quality pepe image
Holy shit, I refuse to even give the (You).

It's purely for competitive though. For some reason battling real people requires actual strategy rather than spamming the same move against an NPC who uses Leer on you.

I'm sorry you can't just steamroll the Elite 4 with Earthquake anymore so you can call yourself a Pokemon Master then shitpost how the game has no endgame.

But hey, they're removing IVs in Sun/Moon and introducing hypertraining because idiots like you couldn't figure out a system they spend half their generations creating.

>fire>water
I'm willing to bet you don't know what symbol is more than and which one is less than.

>removing iv's
Wait what? How will the Pokémon "work" then?

Hey Brock.
youtu.be/6qfolghtvmU?t=37

>Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan have evolutions

"no"

they are still there but you can now alter them directly instead of having to breed for them

Hyper Training Maximizes a Pokémon’s Power
In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, you can draw forth a Pokémon’s power to its utmost limit with Hyper Training.

Pokémon grow stronger by raising their levels and increasing their base stats. However, their power is still affected by the individual strengths innate to each Pokémon. Now, with Hyper Training, Pokémon that have grown to Lv. 100 will be able to increase their individual strengths, which has never been possible before.

With Hyper Training, you can increase the strength of the Lv. 100 Pokémon you’ve been adventuring with!

Presumably, pokemon will just always have 31 in all stats?

Honestly, Pokemon is better off without IVs. All they did was force hours of repetitive breeding onto players who wanted to be competitive, when the true meat of the competition relies on pokemon, move, and item choice

>I can't believe you fucking nerds take Pokemon this seriously. Last time I played I was 10 and it was as simple as fire>water and whatnot
Except it never was you normie

>playing children games autistically makes me special

Not really. I think they work the same, but at level 100, you can do this minigame to raise them. Seems just as tedious as breeding to get them to 100 imo.

Oh man, that's so much better than what I assumed in I'm hyped now

I think that sounds pretty boss. It sucks for the people that really dug breeding though. I hope they keep some specific benefits to it. I guess egg moves are a thing, still, presumably.

IV breeding is pretty fast if they keep the XY mechanics and you have a perfect ditto.

>using a regression model at a 95% confidence interval
You literally have no idea what that means do you?

Gotta love widescreen Mario 64. Got my crappy laptop to output to 900p on a HDTV, looked gorgeous.

>Not taking things you like and mastering it to 11

I bet you passed highschool with a D average, huh faggot?

IV breeding was the funnest thing to do in Gen 6 for me, but oh well. Hardly used the guys anyway.

How?

Unlike movie companies that still act like mobile phones arent a thing, the geniuses at the Pokemon Company knows that people will use the internet to figure all this shit out.

Pls. X and Y came out for a system that could browse the internet while in game. Kids knew to look up the way.

No idea, but
>Baby form has an aspect of each
>Doesn't have the feet of Hitmonlee
>Doesn't have the gloves of Hitmonchan
>Doesn't have the head of Hitmontop
>Has the hand of lee
>Has the head of chan
>Has the general leg style of top
That design is literally retarded.

>Internet
>as a 10 year old kid in 1998

Are you saying Brock was an error/mistake in the Pokemon anime?

Sorry grandpa but you're clearly clueless

some random npc near a field where you can catch eevee's tells you

No, he does make a mistake like user did. Watch the video.
