they were trying to show the world what to not do
If it was it wasnt a very good one. Most people just held off until the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast came out.
This was a bigger jew
>Genesis mixed with a mega drive
Heresy
The thing about jew moves is you can't just blame the company, the "people" who buy it are equally at fault. I mean, they legitimize them and let them get away with it.
Doesn't it literally make the hardware better? Depends on the pricing I suppose, but then releasing something that is required to play just a few games is always stupid.
>not the N64DD
at least you can sell those for a billion yen now
It was 159$ in 1994 when released. games were 69 buckaroos
that never made it to the states did it?
>4MB of additional RAM that was only required by three games (one of which came with it) that most games only used to increase the resolution to 640x480
Not seeing the jewery here.
At least they went to the trouble of shelling out money to produce them.
The most Yiddish business decision I can think of is when Sony decided to start charging for online for no reason at all, when it was already long evident that they were capable of providing the service for free.
Also, this. The best way to vote against greedy business is to spend your money elsewhere.
I don't care
the tower of power is awesome
699.99 US DORRAR (in 1993)
I remember playing the demo system in circuit city when it released, asked my parents for it and they laughed at me.
>tfw various add ons were planned for the dreamcast but were scrapped when the dreamcast was discontinued early
>tfw we will never get to see the bat shit insane add ons for future sega consoles
life is suffering
Man, once that's mass produced...
wtf could they have added on to the dreamcast?
and this is to go
even further beyond
...
>asked parents
>they bought it
>we weren't particularly rich
>only realize how costly it was 10 years later
sorry mom, dad ;_;
then again, you really should have said no, god damn
did you enjoy it at least?
I did actually, there was a few neat things on it still
not that I've used it all that much, so I have a hard time to see it as having been worth it -- could just have bought more games on other systems instead
well for starters, they were planning to make an add on that plays dvd roms
>came for free with a game that most everyone was going to pick up anyways
what's the problem
This one is
>not big enough upgrade to be considered a enthusiant/novelty/hardcore only item
>no other bonus than a SLIGHT performance boost
>exists only to fuck over your previous customers
At least the 32X worked with your existing console.
What NEC did with the PCE was probably the most jewy thing
>system cards that were required to run games and CDs
>like eight different systems with very little differences
>one controller port
>early titles didn't even have back covers
The console variant in the picture didn't even support the CD addon
one did.
The further back you go the worse it gets
Sega cd
CDi
Super hyper Street fighter 2 turbo championship edition remix
Jaguar handhelds
Single game consoles
TV aerial box connectors
Fat as fuck ac adaptors
Gimmicks like ROB, virtual boy
Rip off games, literal reskins like the macdonalds Mario game
Capcom was the king of jews with SF
There's a lot more games out there that utilized it though. I remember Rush 2049 had an extra track if you used it.
Microsoft raising the price of games from 49.99 to 59.99 as a so-called "HD tax"
Live/Psn
Because we need a better internet service :^)))))))
And guess what happens every fucking year?
Nope. A North American one that was used for testing was recently discovered though.
Nintendrones will defend this.
yea I remember reading about it in EGM years ago then forgetting about it
Honestly i can't think of anything for the n3ds that i actually want, hardly jewish to release a gimped sorta nextgenbutyouprobablyshouldn'tbother thing.
I like the vita's design much more, but the 3ds game library blows it out of the water.
Imagine a beowulf cluster of these.
Donkey Kong 64 initially didn't require the expansion pak, but the game during development was riddled with bugs the team didn't know why it was happening, but for some reason the bugs were gone when using it.
Not even Nintendo defends it.
I like the vita too, great little machine, shame the only thing it got was anime and ports though.
Time heals all wounds.
32x mostly bombed. The Sega CD was the bigger rip-off as people actually bought into it's hype and had to suffer through years of shitty FMV games with only a few actually decent games (and most of those could have been done on cartridge with weaker soundtracks and no voice work as well).
>the 3ds game library blows it out of the water
>implying there is a single good 3DS game
>implying every single 3DS game released wasn't a version of a game released on older consoles dumbed down for the nu-retard generation
>implying every single 3DS game wasn't a polished turd with no substance
only retards bought that
only one fucking game required it and it had basically zero benefits outside of a couple games using the shitty nub
What's the stuff attached on the side?
bullshit
Wasn't the Shuttle just intended as a cheap, budget release for late adopters who probably weren't going to buy the CD anyway?
Ps neo/Xbox Scorpio
What blatant disrespect for the consumer.
Nintendo is only just doing slightly better, because it is more than a small upgrade to an already existing console.
This gen is the worst ever. If you defend anything related to gaming this gen, you are apart of the decline of quality.
The only worthy gaming device was the vita and Sony fucked that one up majorly. They push consoles like they are inexperienced.
The only hope next gen is a newcomer in the console market that gives the big guys a good fright.
Sega didn't like the idea of putting expensive chips in cartridges to make better games. Virtua racing's SVP chip made the game cost 150 bucks.
It was a better idea to put that chip in every console, makes more sense for the consumer buy it once and benefit from it for all games. It save you money, and allows you to play games from all eras while still being able to buy new ones. Having to spend 300 bucks on the SegaCD and/or $150 for the 32X will tell you how well that idea was going to work. For reference the base genesis 2 model cost around $150.
Based on what we know about the SNES/Play Station (two words) Nintendo knew that their console was not powerful enough to really benefit from expensive CD technology. Doom 32x is a good example of sticking to older hardware for music not working out.
To put this in perspective SNES needed an extra chip in the cartridge to scale sprites and not just 1 background layer. Sega was trying to save us and make games more affordable.
The Sega Mega CD Karaoke. I don't know if he has the Sega Modem Attached or the "XBAND" Gaming Modem
It has the extra shoulder buttons that are god-given for Monster Hunter.
I really wish they would make a Plug and Play console that looked like the Gen 1 Genesis, and not the Gen 2 genesis
That's why console idiots are ruining gaming.
VR is still shit, but, you cannot help but notice that Sonyggers are the ones majorly hyped for it.
VR will not be around next gen.
Sonyggers act like religious weirdos.
Also, nobody complains about pirating games on psp or 3ds, but, if pc does it, it's a shit storm.
If you could pirate on ps4, everyone would hate on Denu-male-vo.
Don't argue, because you know it is true.
They talk about cracking ps vita, and everyone suddenly loves it.
Console cucks are the ruination of gaming.
virual boy
I wonder, what's the biggest pile of shit you could attach to a console and still run games?
VR for consoles is a pipe dream. VR for PC's on the other hand is achievable at a very low price, from either Nvidia or AMD because those cards can actually output the resolution and frame rate required.
Sega was one of the first to try and put 3d gaming on consoles, even before nintendo tried. But nobody bought a mastersystem, so nobody knows.
tiger did 3d before anyone
Sega had color TV on the gamegear. Did nintendo ever do that? I don't think so.
The games that used it came with it for free
The low memory was to shit on noob developers
It's really fucking stupid but they didn't jew anyone
that thing was fucking trash and I could never get it to work
It came out before it was included with any game
Who could ever forget Gameboy Video?
That's not VR, its them moving their shitty screen in front of one of your eyes.
My older brother had one, and all it does is give you a headache, especially when their game aren't fun. Its look and design are made to trick you into believing its 3d, but it isn't.
He probably looked like a fucking moron wearing that thing.
My father had one in his office in NYC. When we would visit he would let us watch. it worked for like 3 or channels.
With it you can also play your console of choice on your Sega Game Gear. It even has a backlit screen.
That thing looked cool as fuck, but I never wore it because it reminded me of how awful the games were. Is that what its like getting triggered?
Hey, Big Zam.
SEGA literally did nothing wrong
The tower of power even works with newer consoles/hardware clones. Sega will never die.
You niggas haven't seen anything yet.
Jewery would have been to not make it an expansion pack. They eventually released a separate version I think, but the fact that you can buy it as an add on to the Genesis and play new games was a good thing. It's like being able to upgrade a console to its next generation version instead of having to pay half a grand
6AA bateries for 3 hours of gameplay. Fucking criminal. Also the games were really hard. Can you imagine being introduced to Sonic by playing Sonic 2 on the game gear? For the longest time whenever people mentioned Sonic 2, I thought it was this game. Fuck me right?
Literally shit tier programming at it's finest
Is that the console from the air planes?
I got one for Christmas, was hyped to take it on a road trip, it died withing 2 and a half hours or so, and i didnt have any other batteries.
i actually had those
head ache simulator
but was kinda the experience
sad they dumped it on MS3
also most games had a 2D mode so it wasn't really a issue
they literally gave that thing away with any game that required it. if you bought this on it's own, you're an idiot.
The separate version was scrapped and when they started to focus on the saturn. That's when everything went bad for Sega.
How in the absolute fuck is that working?
it came out before it was packaged with games fuck face
A WEAPON TO SURPASS METAL GEAR
My parents bought 2 of them for my older siblings for car trips, they had the car adapters for them and refused to buy batteries for it.
I think I used to have a Lynx too, i think it was called that
Its just a passthrough, so you could plug anything into it that outputs the appropriate signal. Also I think the older 360's didn't have HDMI on them, you had to get an adapter or something.
does anyone else here honestly ever miss sega being a console developer?
I feel that in another reality sega would have done much better and instead it would still be nintendo vs sega even in 2016.
>you will never live in a universe where sega continued to make weird as fuck consoles
....so why fucking buy it when there was no clear use for it, regardless of it coming out before being bundled with anything? if you bought it before actually needing it, you're still a fucking idiot.
I do, and if Japan and America of Sega didn't fuck up communicating they would still be doing consoles
>does anyone else here honestly ever miss sega being a console developer?
i do because during those days they actually made games.
I bought it for the star wars flying game and Turok 2.
How far away was the Saturn release at this point anyway? Wasn't it only 6 months? Then yes, this reeks of juden or at least desperation.
it literally came out (in america) a day before the japanese sega saturn launch
I've used the Lynx, was not a fan.
that didn't answer my question. neither of those games needed it. if you literally bought it for that placebo as fuck resolution change, you're a fucking idiot.
added more gore to Turok 2 , well thats what the guy at the video game store said.
well it didn't. congrats getting jewed. the expansion pak didn't even improve the frame rate on either resolution.
Their desperation to destroy nintendo helped them accomplish amazing things, but was ultimately their downfall.
It did not come with perfect dark.
