None this game is garbage.
Piss off
Haven't played very far but I can already tell you that the second mission is probably not anyone's favourite, particularly in single-player where you need to guide all four orbs yourself.
Here's the funny thing, boyo. People keep saying it's garbage, but they can never explain WHY.
Because there is nothing wrong with the game. The complaints about Blast Ball? Unfounded. It's a great side game. The complaints about how the Metroid franchise is treated? Pointless. This game is leading into Prime 4, they were up front about that from the beginning. The actual gameplay?
Ahaha. I don't think I saw anyone criticizing the actual gameplay in my entire, 500 post thread I had up on launch day. Because it was clear that no one played it. The game is a lot of fun, as the more reliable critics can attest to.

REEEEEEEEEE WHY IS NOBODY PLAYING THE BALL GAME
Being better than No Man's Sky isn't really that hard. Federation Force is still a shit game.
Therefore, everyone should buy 3 copies of it because of other people's opinions instead of their own.
>Metroid
no Samus, no Metroid
CIA/freEshop when?
They are both shit
But Samus is in the game, user.
The one that people are posting now is actually a virus that will brick your 3DS.
I actually hope that Sylux/Metroid egg nonsense actually sprouts into a new mainline game
You're a desperate liar Cody
I'm thinking about downloading it to try it out. I'm kind of on the fence on it
>tfw no non-shitposting threads to team up with fellow anons
Guess I'll just try with randoms
3dsiso
The best thing about this game that I've seen so far is the 3 seconds of giant Samus happening.
>Super Mario Land 3 has no playable Mario
>Metal Gear Rising has no playable Snake
>Several Castlevanias have no playable Belmont
>Mega Man Zero has no playable Mega Man
Yeah, not having the main character sure makes any game worse user.
Download the demo to see for yourself
I thinks it's pretty fun
The controls suck dick which is impressive considering Prime Hunters First Hunt came out 12 fucking years ago and nailed them on the first try
The default gun is mediocre and unsatisfying to use
The bosses are shit
Samus appears a glorified Blast Ball cameo shitshow of a boss
pretty garbage to me fampai
I'm more disappointed as a fan of Prime Hunters than I am as a fan of the series as a whole honestly
>Hunters having good controls
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAH
It honestly did. The issues lied more in the DS's shit ergonomics than the actual game
JUST LIKE KID ICARUS
>Reminder that this game is better than No Man's Sky.
Nope. It isn't even as good as that.
Metroid and Samus aside, the game is just low-effort trash. Nobody would give it a second glance if it was a new IP.
Yeah, isn't that how Star Fox Adventures was made?
...
Shit happens all the time. New games get shoehorned into existing IPs, and sequels to existing IPs get turned into new IPs. The latter usually leads to much better results than the former.
Literally the only issue is the lack of analog stick on the dpad
If you don't think aiming with the stylus is intuitive compared to shit like the face buttons or relying on lockon you obviously don't play enough shooters
Stylus control is probably the second most accurate control scheme for an FPS after M+KB
Federation Force is a seriously shit game. After I got it, I decided to load up my old most hated DS game, Spirit Tracks. What I realized is that Spirit Tracks has all the makings of a good game, but all the trappings of a fundamentally flawed idea - a Zelda game with less than 240p resolution using touch controls. IF Spirit Tracks were made on superior hardware and without the trains and gimmick controls, it would've been a legitimately good game.
Fettuccine Force, however, is fundamentally flawed AND a bad game. Bad controls, bad resolution, bad framerate, bad concept, bad polish, bad boss battles, bad co-op, bad stability issues, and a bad game structure. Even if it weren't a Metroid game, it would be bad. Completely disregarding everything surrounding the game and looking at it as it stands, it's a terrible game. Absolutely fucking terrible. You can fix any 3 things and the game would still be bad.
Hunters was better
>The controls suck dick which is impressive considering Prime Hunters First Hunt came out 12 fucking years ago and nailed them on the first try
I'm surprised they went with classic Prime controls and not Hunters-style. Nevertheless, I only dislike the forced gyro aiming and shoot being on A. It worked for the first games because the Gamecube had that massive A button that was easy to hold. It'd be more comfortable if shoot was Y here.
Did anyone actually PLAY the game?
It's basically the Trilogy controls for Prime but it's like they didn't even consider that using the 3DS to aim is way more obnoxious than a wiimote
That's okay, because I fucking despise the controls in the Trilogy and 3. I still replay MP 1 and 2 on my Gamecube to this day, because I can't fucking stand playing my Trilogy disc.
What does freEshop do? The description says it just lets you access the eshop and download games you own.
>tfw Trilogy doesn't have title screen/menu
youtube.com
Metroid games used to have good music. What the fuck changed since 2007?
>It's basically the Trilogy controls
Oh, is that with New 3DS? Because without the nub, it pretty much controls exactly like Prime 1 and 2 which I'm okay with.
No with N3DS you can use the nub to aim, on O3DS you use gyro to aim the reticle during lock on for bosses
I see, that's what you mean. Yeah, I don't like it but I'm sure I can get used to it.
>Super Mario Land 3 has no playable Mario
Also called Wario land. Also released along side another mainline mario game while playing as the antagonist of the previous game
>Metal Gear Rising has no playable Snake
But containing a protagonist from previous games.
>Several Castlevanias have no playable Belmont
But you play as someone closely related to a belmont or dracula. And a Belmont is a secret character you can play as 99% of the time. also always the same gameplay.
>Mega Man Zero has no playable Mega Man
But instead Zero a protagonist of the X games. which tons of people wanted to play as in X games but only had limited access to for most of those games in the series.
Please try to explain why Fed Forces is good.
When you play complete nobodies instead of already established characters.
I'm a cuck.
If you're too stupid to read between the lines stick to paying Nintendo money to play games, you dumbfuck.
>Favorite mission?
None for now.
>Favorite boss?
Still nothing.
>Favorite planet?
Are there only 3 planets? Because if there are only 3 when in MPHunters there are 5 planets I'm gonna be kind of mad.
Btw I like none in particular.
Where do I get more paint jobs? Amiibo aside
>All this
Haha holy fuck
I love Nintendo but this is just plain fucking delusional
>I love Nintendo
Why? They've spent the last few years wandering from one massive blunder to another. I can understand loving them in the past - hell, GCN/GBA-era Nintendo might be one of my favorite developers ever - but they've depleted their goodwill.
>ebic falseflagging to derail threads
Are Metroidfags this autistic?
Medals unlock paint jobs
The controls are ass and make my hands sore
Looking around is a real hassle
FOV is low as shit
First person shooters on 3ds are a mistake
If prime 4 is gonna be like this then I don't want prime 4
The music will be generic garbage
Everything will be simplified
They'll probably remove scan visor
Stop being a frail white guy.
Controls are nice and I hope they keep them in any future first person Metroid games. Gyro for fine adjusting your aim is the future, sticks suck.
>generic
>simplified
Nice buzzwords
Retro had nothing to do with Federation Force.
Is there not even an option for the Hunters controls?
Is this some Star Fox Zero shit where I have to use the gyro?
>want to adjust aim
>have to move the entire system, distorting your perspective of the screen
I'd agree with you if the screen wasn't attached to the controller like it is on 3ds
And if they don't have anything to do with prime 4 then it will be horrible
you can just twist your wrists a little, it ends up moving the aim more than enough most of the time.
Well is there any way to adjust sensitivity because usually I want to move it more than just a little
>tfw no way to play Hunters online anymore
>tfw no way to remake it in Source engine for online because Nintendo will C&D it
Hey Edgeworth, if this game is so fun then why aren't you playing it? :^)
>make Samus into a giant
>have her just roll around spider tracks in ball form the whole fight
This game can't even get a fucking fetish right. You know, besides Tanabe's ball fetish.
>what is falseflagging
how new?
because it isn't out in PAL regions yet.
>DMCA = C&D
Why are retards allowed to post
I wish I lived in the universe where this didn't exist.
>he doesn't own a new 3ds
>he doesn't use the c stick
MPFF has the same problem as Metal Gear Survive. Both drastically deviate from the mainline games, and both have you playing as generic characterless soldiers. Who wants to play as random member of the Galactic Federation or MSF when you could play as Samus or Big Boss?
youtube.com
Prime's soundtrack was fantastic because it consisted of Super Metroid remixes
They had the same composer, Kenji Yamamoto.
And not the Kenji Yamamoto who did music from Dragon Ball, and was caught plagiarizing shit out the ass, I'm talking the good Kenji Yamamoto, the one who worked on every Metroid game until Other M, when you start to notice the music got bad.
To be fair to Other M's composer (Kuniaki Haishima) he did the music for Monster which was pretty good (though semi-repetitive given how long the series is and how many tracks are re-used constantly). I think Sakurai just gave him really bad direction. Can't really speak for FF's three composers but I can't imagine they got great direction either considering how generic everything sounds.
The main reason why it sucks is a combination of the controls and how grindy it becomes in single player.
Having to wrestle with the gyro controls is a fucking bitch, especially when you play Hunters and realize that touchscreen controls worked way better in the long run now that we have an analog stick instead of a D-Pad.
Beyond that, your chracter moves too slowly, it takes too many shots to take down enemies, and most of the missions involve shooting balls from Point A to Point B.
And turning Samus into a blast ball to cap off the end just game is a perfect analogy for the state of Metroid.
>Sakurai
Meant Sakamoto.
>but they can never explain WHY.
60$ pricetag for garbage shovelware.
It's the only explanation you need. Why waste money on mediocre shit when you can buy better games?
I can't tell if this is just a bait namefag any more or legit autism.
it's both
he wants to be remembered as a faggot who baited Sup Forums to hell and back, adn posting in this thread basically is making his dream come true
