Sup Forums still supports modding

>Sup Forums still supports modding

Modding is ruining the gaming industry. When will Sup Forums realize this and stop supporting it? In the meantime, companies like Bethesda will continue to produce shit games only to be kept alive by "community patches" and praised by the masses.

I somewhat agree. If the developer wanted their art (yes video games are art) to be changed, they would release an update, remake, remaster, or anything like that

More like the video game industry supports modding because they can save a lot of money by having amateur designers fixing and adding content to their games for free.

Shouldn't the modded game have the black knight fucking the white queen?

"the bethesda is making shitty games so 'modders can have something to do'" is a bethesda thing and not a consequence of modding itself.

modding is overall good for games and everyone who uses them. look at STALKER or Mount and Blade

ps your picture is shit and you should kill youself

Skyrim modders are among the worst. I've played it vanilla on and off for 5 years (with the dlc) and only recently have I started getting bored with it. What's the fucking problem with it that you have to put 20 mods on it?

How much of a cocksucker do you have to be to post something like this, OP? I bet you are one of those retards that support Denuvo. Coincidentally you can't mod games that have it as DRM either.

...

Only if the white king goes and fucks the black horse.

>implying chess isn't horribly imbalanced

Enough said

Some people don't like shitty games that contain an endless litany of bugs.

More power to you if that's your thing, but some people have higher standards.

Why there has to be a balance?

Don't talk to me or my Queen's black pawn ever again.

>That bar graph scale

this is modded chess

>using the most bullshit way to lie with statistics

Do you think you are on 9gag or Facebook, user?

>player that moves first more likely to win
no shit

...

That's the best bait you've got? You couldn't do any better than that?

This is bigger bait than the OP

shit b8

Fuck off cunts.

Literally wrong you piratefag. Warhammer is as moddable as Napoleon or Empire.

This is some mega bait.

I have like 100+ mods installed, base skyrim is boring and I had to turn it into a porn game.

How have you fucks not seen this image before

christ

making people upset af with mods is the best feeling.

been doing it for years.

>The scale of the bars
What the fuck. This is some propaganda 101 shit.

>game developers stop updating their game
>you have to install mods for it to work properly on newer OS without using a virtual machine
>somehow a bad thing

Motherfucker, you made me kek

>Writers shit on fanfiction
>Artists shit on fanart
>Gamers praise mods/fangames
Just another proof videogames are for plebs.

>ruining
Why? Mods don't hurt anyone. Just because Bethesda likes to release shit, it doesn't mean mods are at fault here.

How is it boring?

literally just time wasting killing pieces until 2/3s are gone

see

Bethesda wouldn't get away with releasing shittty buggy messes if it weren't for community patches and mods

Is this just a picture you've found or are you affiliated it in anyway? I'm curious what the moveset would be for the second row.

No, they wouldn't get away with it if the industry hadn't grown into a massive media platform where your average buyer is a retard.

Bitch please, they release for consoles all the same and they keep gobbling it all up.

>Nvidia benchmarks

I enjoy Chess.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_chess_variants

There is so many things fucked with this graph. Quality bait.

...

Writers and artists aren't worth a damn for opinions. The ones who wrote any worthwhile shit are long dead, and the ones making comments are fags wishing they could be anywhere near the dead masters.

Not to mention mods for every other art form have existed for centuries, unless unabridged versions, director's cuts, touchups and remasters suddenly aren't modifications of the originals.

Queens are the Orlandu of chess.

I've had that image saved for 4 years, and I know it was posted well before I ever had it.
Pretty sad so few remember/have seen it.

>>Writers shit on fanfiction
>yfw one of the most prolific texts in history is fanfiction
Defend this.

I don't know why fanfiction and fanart are shat on as a whole and not just treated with general cautious optimism considering like "real" art the majority of content is mediocre to fucking awful, while diamonds in the rough periodically surface and deserve praise. I don't think that a masterfully written fanfiction should be treated as a lesser work of literature than poorly written garbage that is simply "original".

...

>Writers and artists opinions don't count because I said so!
lol Go play your pony mod for gta V

in the context of games mod means module, not modification.

Chuck Tingle please return to your hole and stop shitting up Sup Forums.

If u devs don't want mods then don't add mod support

This is literally the only way to make Skyrim tolerable. Make it look pretty (well as pretty as you can make a turd) and turn it into a sex game and it's at least enjoyable in short bursts until you cum and realize there's nothing else to do.

>Not buying the updated HD remaster version
>Not begging for an updated HD remaster version if one does not yet exist or is not HD enough for [current year]

You fucking entitled whiny cunt.

Except even when as a sex game why would I want to deal with inconsistent quality and hacky systems when I could just pick up an actual H-game with professional-quality art, animation and voicework?

Granted, I dropped Skyrim like a hot potato just a few weeks out from release so I don't know the current state of sex mods is but the ones I remember from FONV were of laughably poor quality.

This is what autism looks like

You're missing the foreplay.
Getting the mods actually working is part of the fun.

>begging
>not entitled

Is this supposed to be like a Quentin thread where you loudly proclaim some contrarian opinion supported by a poorly thought-out, crudely constructed comic?

I'm not saying it's good, but it does make it tolerable until you blow your load. You should absolutely play a proper H game over modded Skyrim or a proper RPG over vanilla.
Autism is pouring hundreds of hours into a shitty game where everything after the first two hours looks identical and there's barely any gameplay to speak of. If you're going to play a shitty game, you might as well get some pleasure out of it.

You get that with Jap H-games too. Sometimes they're an even bigger pain in the ass to get running.

It's a different kind of entitled, it's entitling the publishers to your money.

That's A-OK.

Mods aren't the problem.

People buying shitty Bethesda games knowing that they're shit is the problem. Mods are always going to exist.

>people still bumping this shitty low-quality bait thread

Not much you can do if the developer is out of business

Is that the best bait you have? I'm disappointed.

Underrated.

Sure you can, you make a YUGE petition for a re-release.

If enough people sign it and publishers think there is a dollar to be made, they'll sort out the red tape of ownership and re-release it.

Only the most convoluted of licensing agreements fail the above - Goldeneye is a good example as the rights are interspersed between Rare (now MS), Nintendo, EON/Danjaq and Activision (the current Bond video game license holder, changes every few years as the current license expires and Danjaq re-licences to someone else)

Yeah, it's an interesting discussion. It why I'm not too fond of PC gaming for primarily singleplayer games. I feel like all the variables of PC gaming can dilute a developer's intended vision, intentionally and unintentionally. With console games, especially exclusives, the developer's intention is laid out in a strict fashion; the game is supposed to run at a set resolution, at a set frame rate, with little-to-no options given to players. It why games like Ico, with its minimalist UI and design, are effective.

Meanwhile the vast majority of PC games have little-to-no boundaries. If given the right equipment, most modern PC games could run at 1080p, 4k, 8k, 60fps, 120fps, on a 16:9 monitor, on a 21:9 monitor, on two monitors, on three monitors, on a 3D monitor, etc. And that's not getting into in-game settings with the ability to turn off things like motion blur, UI elements, and other graphical features. All this combines together and makes me wonder what exactly the developer's intended vision is. Or do all these variables dilute a developer's vision?

Hey Sup Forumsros, how's that load order lookin'?

Sexlab defeat is pretty gud
