I can understand the healer, but why is the tank a shota too?
Assmad dps that are jealous of the tanks popularity are just trying to paint tanks as children, that's all.
...
Is there a second panel for this one
>be tank
>low attack and movement speed but extremely satisfying attacks that stun lock your opponents for days
>literally can't fucking die
>just walk around feeling like the unstoppable juggernaut that I am
How can damage cucks compete?
>ratstache
>acne
>shota
I don't know what your fucking definition of a shota is, but I hope it doesn't include those two.
thats one puffy vulva
RRARRRUHG
How can other tanks even compete?
youtube.com
That's not what a tank does user. What you just described is a controller
wtf is a controller? Isn't that just a class of tank
Is there an uncensored version of this.
>Not posting the best tank
Is this the MMO thread? Why isn't there a Project 1999 thread tonight?
>tfw will never join him in glorious congress
No, it's a class which controls a fight through impairing enemies. It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not the enemies' focus is on you, or how much damage you deal and/or take.
sauce please
>tanks popularity
With who? Normally they're among the least played classes in the game.
That's the point, you need them, but most players are too beta to play tanks, so they are in high demand, thus everyone sucks your dick.
Here you go
>mfw when helping dps bros and healer friends gear up with a geared tank and they later carry your dps character with their geared alts
Friend role is best role
>Healers telling me to slow down
Bitch, if I'm going to take it slow, I don't even NEED you, I pull enough so that you actually have a fucking job to do, and you better be grateful for that.
>tfw I like to tank
>tfw I want to protect my teammates and I'm a massochist
Here you go op
Only in homolust faggot land
I hope you are not one of those tanks doing ready checks before every pull
Then don't be surprised when I OOM in the middle of a fight because you wouldn't let me drink my booze :%)
You call that A TANK?
BEHOLD MY SHOE BOX ON WHEELS
why isn't there like a button or something that you can press to notify your raid if you're not ready or something.
>tfw play both tank and healers
>tfw main support classes mostly
Mostly just because no one else wants to play support classes and I'd really rather get somewhere in multiplayer games.
i'm going to take advantage of that stupid girl!
Usually I take it slow at first to check whether or not my healer has a brain, and then decide on how to proceed from there. If they can play I pull enough so that I won't die while using some cooldowns, otherwise I take it slowly.
I'm not retarded, I know how much I can pull without dying, provided the healer can play his role.
>2 hulls were built total
>one had the turret on it
>hitler was like "nah just put the turret on the more finished one"
>sits in russia now
yeah that will really hold up
>posers are going to switch to his new skin
>I'll still be rocking the whit and gold
Paragon is best skin
nice cupolas faggot
>tanked in bc and wrath
>dps went full fucking retard in wrath making cata pugs too frustrating
>4.1 killed the guild I was in and never joined another
I haven't tanked in any game since
Tanking has changed a lot, aggro isn't really even a mechanic anymore, basically its your job just to not die now, in addition to whatever mechanics an encounter may require of you. I'm not really sure how I feel about it myself. Sometimes its relieving because dps like do stupid shit, but on the other hand, you can just tunnel vision one mob now and let your aoe take care of the threat on everything else. I kind of miss the days of having to switch targets to generate enough threat onto everything, and checking my threat meter to make sure that I'm far enough ahead to focus my attention elsewhere.
DPS is just boring
>least responsibility
>just hit your rotation until it's dead
>you're expected to stand in puddles of death cause you're a dumb DPS
>healers
Warrior main here
Paladins are bottom bitches and Dark Knights chuuni faggots.
Needs more ERA.
Yet I still run across tanks who can't even keep the enemies on them when it's so brain dead easy to tank now.
You're gonna have to give me the name, buddy.
Anyone who has trouble to hold threat in modern WoW is honestly just a mystery to me. I actually don't understand how that is possible.
warriors have the comfiest fucking armor set goddamn
loli tank the best
>not being the MLG pro dps
needs more MGs
Which game?
>DPS gets pissy over not getting credit for damaging monsters
>replace him with another 13 year old in a second
>Healer gets pissy because their "hard work" isn't acknowledged
>replace them with another beta in a second
>Tank gets mad and quits
>comes back because in real life there is no other place he feels he has a purpose
Overwatch needs more male Healers, how am I supposed to get my tanky Winston ass plowed by a healer if all we have is Lucio and Zenyatta!?
no blankets needed nigga. just sleep anywhere you want because your armor is warm and comfy and you don't give a fuck
can blue pill 3x casb phoenix post here
Ikaruga horse.
Neither did you, thats not Winston
I've never had this experience where people "suck your dick" for being a tank. It's mostly "hey let's go do dungeon X so I can get instaqueue thanks fag" or healers shitting themselves like the incontinents they are when they actually have to do their job.
I tried. Seriously, I did. Can you help me out here?
raids its different, but dungeons can be an ass
i no longer queue in dungeons if im waiting on something like a delivery guy or mailman, every single time i say "brb after this pull" tank doesnt read
doesnt matter if I /yell
>best tank gets sweaters covered in armor and viking shit
>best healer gets this hot garbage
why?
are those Doryani's Fist
>my face when the dps decides it's a good idea to run infront of the boss with you
>they eat a cleave and fucking die
how do people manage to be THIS retarded?
I was just kidding. For real though, things were a lot different before automatic party finders were a thing. Sometimes you would actually wait 30+ minutes to find a tank, sometimes you actually just had to call it quits without running something because you couldn't find one. People would pay good money, just to get you to tank for them. The big difference was that you actually had to interact with people to get them into your group, so if you were the difference between someone getting to play or not, you better believe they were respectful. Now a days, even if you have to wait a bit, you don't actually need to interact with anyone, you just wait and a tank magically appears thanks to the queue.
I'm not saying its a bad thing, times have just changed is all.
>TFW great tank and hero of the horde
>They carry a portable hookah on their back incase they want to just smoke instead of healing.
But for real, the i190 gear mostly looks atrocious. Atleast SCH looks better than BLM
lol what the fuck is that garbage?
good for walking across town on a chilly autumn day at best, and better hope to god it doesn't rain
it's just the hat and the gloves that look bad really. i like the coat
i like his championship belt he put over his coat
I like Bloodborne sch.
>Tfw big strong tank
>tfw despite being a well experienced fighter i've never found a party/cause worth giving my life for
>tfw i just take freelance work as a mercenary
>tfw melee DPS
>Always suspicious of my other party members considering me disposable and not giving a shit about my life because "they can just get another one if this one is shit/says shit"
>Have to treat every fight and raid as if it was basically solo but other people just happen to be in the area
DPS life is suffering. Playing tank is boring, and playing healer feels as if I'm not contributing, even when healers are basically mandatory for success.
SAUCE PLS
>playing healer feels as if I'm not contributing, even when healers are basically mandatory for success
This is the problem I have with healing in Overwatch. I can dodge fraggers and get some clutch ultimates, but ultimately no one ever notices if I'm there or not unless they die and then it's all "where's our healer?"
>Perform flawlessly for an entire fight
>Enemy team pops me like a grape in a gap in the defense
>"Back up/be careful guys, I'm dead."
>They charge ahead anyways and drop one by one
>See the cascade of "wtf shitty healer" because none of them were paying attention to the situation until they were getting punished for their stupidity and DON'T go back to full health
Nah, I'll stick to being stereotyped as being a DPS shitter. Playing Healers in MMOs and any type of game make me want to slaughter my own team mates.
I know that feeling brother. As a melee DPS you have to always give it 100%. You can't really phone it in like ranged DPS, tanks, or healers. You have to work your ass off just to make it seem like you're worth keeping.
>generally prefer dps
>tank because i don't trust other tanks to do the job well
How many of you would still tank if you could consistently get a good tank anytime you wanted?
I "main" DPS. It's what I enjoy the most
In a majority of the games I play, most of my playtime is in support classes (tank, control, healer) because holy fucking shit I can't trust anybody to do their job.
That's a penis, user.
I'm a main DPS player but i'd love to try tanking if I weren't so fucking stressed out over it. I know it's probably easy by now in WoW, but I assume everyone expects their tanks to be tank mains and not some cunt who just swapped to tanking to try it out. Then I have no idea on how to start tanking, since I don't want to drag others down and I don't really have much in the way of friends to play with in it anymore.
Fucking sucks.
Depends on who I'm playing with. If I know people are better than me in general, I'll stick to support roles since they're less skill intensive and more planning oriented. DPS is usually fun though since you get to make sicc plays
Healer is my favorite role, but I always end up being forced into the tanking role if I want to get anything meaningful done.
Even in modern MMOs where you can spam one button and keep aggro, a ton of people still manage to fuck it up.
It boggles the mind.
>FAAAAAAT ASSES
Learn how to keep and maintain hate. This is the only thing people expect you to do to be a passable tank.
Knowing when to use defensive cooldowns and how to maximize DPS when tanking are valued skills, but completely secondary to your main goal.
I mean I know the principle behind it is easy. 'Keep aggro, don't die'. And keeping aggro is more than likely easy. Learning how to use cd's properly, rotations, etc. Knowing if I fuck up, everything goes to shit, that's when I get antsy.
It'd also help if the upcoming blood DK artifacts looked halfway decent.
Keeping you alive is the healer's job. They should be able to do it on 95% of content even if you don't properly use your defensive cooldowns.
Learn how to keep hate first. Practice until it's second nature. Then work in defensive cooldowns and optimal rotations.
Doc, this isn't the right medicine
Alright. You've given me enough balls to try it out come legion. Probably on my DK or warrior since I don't like the DK tanking artifact. I won't let you down. I promise!
Retardedly easy to do protection warrior and really good so I hear
/Ignore Pain too OP
Tank thread?
M1A2 and Leopard 2 are my favorites, what are yours?
Tiger 1 and Firefly.
Ah, a retro tank fan, very nice.
>Unkillable from the front
lrn 2 aim
blood DK artifact looks fucking awesome fuck you.
Btw tanks are rare enough that the dps are willing to put up with so much shit. I came back from to HFC not knowing a single fight, just got a decent ilvl from mythic dungeon got into a group saying i've never done these fights before and the group actually explained the fight without a single negative comment.
Tanks have it easier unless you are actually a fucking terrible player
>walking through shield and shooting him in the back
>best tank
