>Completing both stages will unlock a bonus "twilight mission" version of each stage, which contains tougher enemies and better loot

That's interesting. I know that Kou Shibusawa was absolutely smitten with Bloodborne; he referred to it as a "masterpiece" and cited it as his personal game of the decade, so he'll be excited.

Only if you're in Germany or Austria. For some reason, the demo's locked to PS+ only there.

Co-op and revenants work fine for the demo even if you don't have a PS+ subscription.

The damage seems ok, though it depends on what armour he has. The circlestrafing looks as bad as expected though.

Yeah, enemies still hit like a truck. That E3 demo having an overlevelled character in addition to having amazing gear AND a difficulty nerf so journalists wouldn't hit a wall and whine about the game in the press doesn't sound farfetched at all, particularly now.

For anyone coming in, Masaaki Yamagiwa from Sony Japan Studio (Bloodborne's producer) is gonna fight the boss of the first level.

Based. I love how Japs actually have legit live players as oppose to the scripted pretend playing on pc they have in the west.

It seems the first boss can still easily wreck your shit.

That seems alright, but I'm not worried about the damage they do to me so much as I'm worried about the damage I'll be doing to them. They can be as strong as they want to but it won't matter if they die instantly. Still, Onryoki's looking as angry as ever.

Yeah, he gave a lot of people in the alpha demo quite a bit of trouble. He hits like a truck, but he had a pretty limited moveset and could be staggered reasonably easily if you went for his horns (Though this'd only work once).

I think it's more the hammers. They're good for removing stamina/super armor but it'd be better if he swapped to a sword for dealing actual damage.

I've noticed he's getting a buff whenever he Ki Pulses, if this is the Beta version that we're getting, then I think that confirms we're getting new skills to play with! Also he's really showing his heritage with his strats.
Hammers are fine, he's just playing a bit too safe and missing a lot of chances to attack.

That was Yasuda, the game's director playing. Bloodborne's producer is the guy with the glasses.

Rather the round-ish glasses and the white V-neck shirt.

Yasuda is a man to be trusted in many things except to not choke at the end.

Really fun to watch fight though, even with the circling. I was just as sasuga as they were.

He was partially just showboating and keeping it entertaining for the others. That character was underlevelled, too.

Also it's worth noting that the new pieces of music for the game they've had partially playing in the background of this is excellent.

Here's the stuff I picked up on

I noticed that the camera didn't go to the dramatic view when he did the grapple attack on an enemy without Ki, so I think that means that this camera is actually the other selectable option revamped, since in the Alpha it behaved like that, but that likely won't affect movement, the important part.
It's hard to tell what the damage is like now, but it seems close enough to me, and there were what looked like revenant grave markers on the mission info window.
Plus new skills, it looked like that hammer one was an attack buff on Ki Pulse, judging by the pic.

Oh I just caught another thing. Looks like "Implement a flow to allow players to exit a mission." means that we have an infinite Himorogi Branch now. Never really seemed like a problem to me before.

I'm glad you picked up on the revenant mound thing on the menu as well actually, because I wondering what it might be for. Difficulty display, maybe?

I thought about that, but it looks like they still have the Recommended Level thing there, the 12 in that I think. Maybe it's a measure of how many people have died on that level and how many revenants are currently on there. Could double as a way of knowing which levels are more popular for coop too.

Yeah, the 12 was the recommended level slot. Good call though, that would be a fairly good measure of saying how "populated" certain stages are, so to speak.

Also I double-checked about the armita display being yellow, and I was partially wrong; it's not always yellow, but it seems like it changes colour when you're sitting on enough for a level up. That's a nice touch.

That's really nice. It seems like they're working so hard on making the UI helpful in so many little ways.
