Do you feel superior for not liking a game that Sup Forums unanimously praises?
Be honest

i hated this game when Sup Forums kiddies weren't even born
lttp is one of the few 10/10 games that exist. pic related is another.
Not related to the thread, but it's really not. It has many, many problems.
Like what? There's no game that all of Sup Forums likes
Also why I don't love these games
I recognize them as great
What are you, 20 y-o ?
This game is a fucking classic and a must-have for any SNES owner
Find a flaw about it
let's post more 10/10 games
amazing that the SNES had so many
>Find a flaw about it
- Dungeons are mostly boring
- Too many infinite dark world/light world teleports on the same spot over and over again without letting you out of it for a good while
- Dark World overworld is mostly boring
- The way the Dark World overworld sections connect is just fucking tedious until you get the flute
- Dem hitboxes
- Way, WAY too many respawning enemies
I enjoyed LBW more than this.
33 y-o here 1st system was a NES back when I was 4 y-o or so
Chrono Trigger is overrated as fuck.
FF2, FF3, and even Secret of Mana were better than Chrono Trigger.
Should I rent Ogre Battle or CT for the weekend? Man that was such a no-brainer
That was a game for fucking weaboos
Every time people like a game I can't enjoy, I'm sad, because they're having while I'm not.
No, even if I don't like a popular game I can usually see why other people like it and consider it popular. Quality speaks for itself.
Stuff like undertale would be the exception, there doesn't seem to be anything exceptional about it.
Also lttp is my favorite zelda and ct is my favorite jrpg, you guys have good taste. I grew up with snes so nostalgia plays a part for me though
>Secret of Mana were better than Chrono Trigger.
found a flaw in your statement. I love secret of mana, but the magic system was broken as shit. plus, the story was not as engaging as chrono trigger.
I'm also an oldfag, and I must disagree with your post.
I feel like i have my own taste in games.
People should play what they like and for me thats not any Zelda game.
Only spergs feel superior because of games.
>I enjoyed LBW more than this.
that millennial taste
also "boring" is not a flaw, there's nothing objective about it
Well, I'll take that as a "yes" for OP's question.
SNES was a beast. No wonder people laugh at the PS4 for only having one good game.
Alright, and which game (same genre) from that year (or the years before) do you feel was superior?
I know you won't reply to this but whatever. You not replying makes your opinion truely worthless as it proves your just some random 18 y-o piece of shit
Im playing the lttp randomizer hack. Its really nice because it mixes up all the chest in the game and changes your route completely. Anyone else try it?
It's casualized garbage just like every other recent WRPG Sup Forums loves to shit on.
Fucking shitty, shitty FO4 was more of an RPG than this and it gets flak all the time for not being an RPG. This game does so much that shitty RPGs like Skyrim or DA:I did wrong but Sup Forums says its GOTY anyway. It's an adventure game with piss-poor action combat and some light RPG elements.
Wait a fucking minute, was Akira Toriyama involved in this game at all? I never noticed that the art looks distinctly Dragonballish
Well if you want to get specific
>too many rooms rely on finding a switch under a skull or something
>too many rooms are there for no purpose in many of the dungeons
Couldn't be bothered checking up all the year release dates but any of the Super Mario games and the Donkey Kong Country games.
Though SNES is in the past and you have already played all of it's good games a gorrilion times.
Time to move on or replace everything you own with it's 90s equivalent.
If by feeling superior I feel like everyone else is retarded, then yes. I dislike a majority of NES and SNES games, along with 90% of Sega's catalog. Those games are only liked because of nostalgia and their legacy, there may be a few exceptions, but nothing major.
nigga, is you for real?
Are you serious right now nigger
Well tbph, I always played secret of mana with my brother which made the experience more fun. CT might be better as a 1P game
He did the art for this and Dragon Quest, yes, he designed the characters and all that. He talks about it from time to time as well.
>unanimously
I may be a newfag, but I know that statement to be untrue
Shut up Bosman, nobody cares
He did all the character designs
if you're bringing co-op into it, then yes, secret of mana was an insanely fun game to play with friends. my neighbor had the multi-tap and we would 3man it sometimes.
good times.
>any of the super mario games or DKC games
I said "same genre" you brainless faggot. How old are you anyway...?
That's like saying "why still watch popeye if it's from the 1930s? It's time to move on"
Because it's good. Because it's better than what we have today. Because it will continue to be good and it doesn't stop being good.
Not saying there isn't good stuff today, but here are examples of the past that continue to be good in the present and will still be good in the future.
2d will always hold up. can't say the same for early 3d games
this will never not make me laugh
26.
My bad though, musta sped-read your post.
I guess the only similar game to LtTP I played was LBW maybe? Can't remember but I enjoyed that one more.
When you have memorized every episode or every level in a game as you've been playing it for the past 30 years then it becomes common sense that playing or watching something new ,even if its not as good, will be more entertaining.
The main reason you may deny the above is nostalgia and nothing else.
>spent ungodly amounts of quarters at the arcade
>friend's older brother bought pic related
>spent literally thousands of hours camped in his room from that day on
10/10
games with his art looks better than dragon ball anyway
it's the sun that does it for me
Right and wrong.
>watch popeye, remember the scenes, the gags, still good and even better I'd you haven't seen it in a while
>watch new show, the gags have already been done before, the animation is a Mish mash of styles from last year, the story has already been played out by the 4 different other shows
Its like literally watching anime.
gotta give it to you for
>Its like literally watching anime.
Now lets both run away from here as you have triggered the weaboos and they will commence their attack soon.
Whats the best SNES game abd why is it Terranigma
I don't think it's a bad game but i honestly don't get why people suck this game dick so much other than "it's zelda so 10/10" the music is meh, that boss fight with the worm is extremely annoying, the dungeon feel a little samey and the items are boring as fuck
All other classic on the snes are better, link's awakening is better
oh god, I just noticed the sun
You are completely inexperienced with the genre and still you think you can criticize a game like alttp that redefined it.
I think you should play more top down action adventure games user, here some I'd recommend:
-quintet soul blazer trilogy
-from the frog the bell tolls
-alundra
-every other zelda 2d (playing the first one might enlighten you on the drastic change of quality in game design the series had with alttp)
-beyond oasis/legend of oasis
-secret of mana/2
Playing more games in a genre is necessary to understand why certain games are regarded as masterpieces, and also might help in appreciating them better. that's my opinion at least
No, since opinions are subjective.
kys
I'm currently busy with a Sup Forums essentials backlog fillup but I'll play some of those once I'm done that. Thanks.
>boss fight worm is extremely annoying
Thats the best boss though, you can just whittle it down, if you fuck up you have to redo it forcing you git gud
What? Best boss fight is objectively the sand moth.
Sand moth? Only moth I can think of was this.
Fun fact, unleashing the good bee and hitting this boss once will pretty much give you an instant win.
Yeah that dude. I only called him the sand moth coz you're fighting him while running on moving sand or something.
You fight him on a moving floor, not sand.
At the time I thought it was moving sand. Don't ask why. But hey I am colourblind if that excuses me.
>But hey I am colourblind if that excuses me.
The color of the floor is grey.
Sand can be grey.
it also has tiles.
youtu.be
>u
If hes color blind that should look like a dark red for him, or indistinguishable from dark red, plus the tile pattern is kinda weird, so I guess I could someone seeing that as sand.
I feel kinda sad that I can't appreciate those games the way a lot of Sup Forums does.
Examples are Deus Ex and Morrowind.
Yeah, noticed they weren't grey.
CT is the only game i'd feel like OP with. Live a Live is a much better game
Live a Live is a totally different game. Fun and unique for sure but it's not quite as involved as CT.
Live a Live feels like a comic book or something like that, Chrono Trigger feels like an adventure.
But I will give you this, Live a Live's combat was a lot better and because you changed characters every few hours it never got stale.
Live a Live was good but it had some seriously tedious parts. Like the extra dungeons in the ds version of CT, but they were part of the regular game
No it doesn't, you do.
I played it at 25. Even though I had never played it and thought it was annoying. I actually got got to the future and became emotionally entangled in a game that might be the best, ever.
Lucca a best.
>you won't respect my OPINION
Fucking millenials, nobody has to. The weight of your words is only carried in the truth of it.
Not sure if you're ranting me or agreeing with me.
Moving from point a to point b is a fucking pain
Agreeing, but there has to be some level of banter here or you'll be attacked like a bear trying to take honey from a hive.
No. I don't see why I would. If I don't like a game I don't like a game. If you like a game I don't like, who gives a shit? I'll play what I want to play.
I've always loved that box art.
>like almost every game that Sup Forums likes
>also like a lot of games that it hates
I'm not sure if I should feel good because I can enjoy such a wide variety of games or bad because I don't have any discerning taste.
It doesn't mattter.
The userbase of Sup Forums is super young. Talking about older games? Good luck, they love CoD and Overwatch. Never mind that it's people my age that draw the weird porn that they rub it to.
It's like, that's kind of gay m8.
