Meanwhile The Darkness 1 was awesome I think the second game deserves the love too, it is amazing FPS and going back to it is still good to this day.
The Darkness thread? This franchise is awesome, shame we'll never get The Darkness 3 and The Darkness 1 will probably never get to PC, would love to play it with stable FPS and mouse controls.
I tried playing darkness 2 but I couldn't stomach the first part where you're being dragged out of the restaurant. I wanted to play the first but I can't stomach console games either. This really sucks because there are already so many great FPS games that I just can't play because they're on console and are just unbearably clumsy.
Thomas Scott
Jackie's VA change kind of threw the story aspect of the game for me, I liked the first guy better
Landon Sanders
I liked both voice actors, it is really weird when suddenly the VA changes through games.
Michael Martinez
>but I couldn't stomach the first part where you're being dragged out of the restaurant. Dude what the fuck that part lasts like 5 minutes
Henry Hernandez
The Darkness had a pretty sexy voice to be honest.
I replayed both games so much just for it's voice.
Andrew Lewis
>The Darkness 3 never
Just great.
Aaron Anderson
One of the most badass voices I've heard.
Samuel Martinez
No user, sexy.
I think I tried to pull The Darkness out in public well over 100 times just to hear it insult people.
John Bell
funny how you made this thread because i just finished the darkness 2 since i wanted to try out playstation now
pretty decent game overall. i played the first one years ago on the 360.
also, i agree, the darkness had such a good voice. there were a few lines here and there that kinda made me cringe because of how he sounded. literally sounded like the voice actor was straining his throat really badly.
Jack Allen
He has a singing career that's pretty impressive too, the guys crazy talented as a vocalist. Look up Mike Patton.
Angel Murphy
I liked Darkness II a lot more than the first. Fuck all faggots who dis this game for not being made by Starbreeze. This game is much more engaging story wise with all the cool asylum stuff, features very fast and fluid combat on PC unlike literally 15 fps original on consoles. Everyone should play this.
Benjamin Williams
The way the voice isn't consistent is the best part. How it goes through different pitches during a single line or how when it's pissed off it's voice gets all raspy is the best.
The first one is easily the best story and character wise, but The Darkness 2 is better game play wise.
Easton Adams
Constant backtracking through the streets and metro was pretty boring.
Dominic Adams
Two excellent and grossly underrated games. Everyone should play them. youtu.be/zk2f-z35DCk
James Murphy
That's why I said 2 had better gameplay.
2 also didn't have those TV channels. That one dododo commercial one was my jam.
Jace Nguyen
On sale on ps store right nie should i buy it I never played the darkness before
Noah Nguyen
>the levels in the first game inside the darkness mindscape >those torn apart and eternally living British soldiers fighting a forever war against gas masked Germans in world war 1 hellscape >that one soldier sitting in the trench with his boot off and his big toe on the trigger >"Hip Hip!" Bang >if you stand there long enough he shudders back to life and cries before doing it again >the crucified bird man creature on the battlefield >the limbless and scared German major inside the giant gun carriage control room
God damn I want to replay it. Shame I don't have an Xbox anymore.
John Jones
i consider the darkness 1 a masterpiece
i liked 2 but didnt like the setting as much. wandering through the deserted metro, city, and sewers was a lot scarier for me. the world war 1 area was also spectacularly done and actually induced fear in me. hated the art style of the second game.
Carter Phillips
I loved the first one, real underrated gem.
the 2nd game I couldn't get into. It just felt really gimmicky, like I was playing an arcade rail shooter.
Julian Cox
>gercuck >low violence version on steam
meanwhile in fallout 4 you explode peoples heads and nobody gives a fuck. i dont get it.
Owen Mitchell
Low quality bait
Landon Ramirez
Yes it's good, very fun, reminds me of Mafia 2 to be honest just read a summary for 1's story or watch a youtube movie or something.
Justin Harris
I really disliked it. The first game is one of my top ten games ever. The second was a huge letdown in that regard, the art style, voice actors, atmosphere and story line are much worse in the second.
Henry Fisher
rejoice brother, low violence is now a dlc you can simply disable. Wouldn't have bought the 1€ humble bundle otherwise.
Eli Morris
It did that a couple of sales ago. I you can get over how serious the story takes itself, and how edgy it gets occasionally, its a really good game. Its pretty short, but fun. Kinda on the easy side, especially if you figure out some nice upgrade combinations early on.
Jeremiah Barnes
I loved you like a son, and you took from me. And when blood takes from blood..
Shit I forgot the rest of the quote.
I take from you?
Kayden Howard
PC here so I didn't get a chance to play the first one.
I thought The Dakness2 was fun, but had too many interruptions for my taste.
Powers were pretty fun, although I wish they had more Darkness-powered weapons, like the ones in Vendetta mode. Shit, playing as the shotgun chick was really fun.
Also it had some weird problem for me where the screen would stay blurred for some reason, and the only way to fix it was to chance the Vsync.
Still, I'd love to see a Darkness 3
Nicholas Martinez
It took me a while to complete TD2 because I just couldn't break up that hug at the end. That moment there was a 10/10 heart strings moment
Lucas Gonzalez
Are you serious about this, how easy is this to do?
Lincoln Peterson
Also I loved the pumping upgrade, really made the shotgun incredibly fun to use
