Yes. Can't wait

Hope there are more abilities

Oh shit really? didn't even realize
.

>cute demongirl feet in sandals/flip flops

my dick

I forget what the last mark was, is this the same mark or a different one?
Does it come win free DLC as well?

Fuck I'll be away for two weeks
When does it end?

Previous was mark of the conqueror.
so two different free DLCs, though it will probably just end up being some small cosmetic thing

why are footfags the worst?

August 23 until September 6

Nice, I can still play it
Are they giving free stuff for completing the demo again?

2 weeks? fucking cool.
Don't have anytime to play since becoming a wage slave.

worse than scatfags, pissfags, vorefags, futafags, trapfags? I'm not even a footfag and even I know foot fetishism is the most common of all fetishes.

So I guess these two will be the new bosses?

Most anticipated game this year is a beta.

I hope the DLC is actually worth getting.

It's a new DLC though right? I'm not just gonna get the same reward?
I'll play it for the spider girl anyway, but a good reward would be nice.

It's really a shame it's PS4 only. It finally looks like a Dark Souls clone done right. Plus I love the Onimusha vibes it gives off and the MC looks smexy.

The only chance i'm buying a PS4 is the Neo, and god knows when that's coming out.

Oh well, I waited 3 years for Bloodborne, Yakuza Ishin and 0, I can wait a little bit more.

Aside from the gold dudes in coop and the blood stains it's pretty much nothing like Souls so yea it's a pretty good clone by not being one at all.

Theres a new one mark of the strong, and also a second chance at getting the first one mot conqueror

Cool, that's good to know.

I was having trouble with the last demo. I made it up to the thunder dog thing, but that was my limit.
Screw the Oni and their backflips and screw the giant tongued growing little shits, I only made it that far with a great deal of trial and error.

Oh nice, I missed out on the alpha and beta because of life stuff and I've been out of the loop on this game for a while. How does it play? From what I've read it sounds like I'll enjoy it regardless but I want to hear some actual opinions from you anons. Also do we have a release date yet?

>I made it up to the thunder dog thing, but that was my limit.
That was the end.
If you killed it you'd get a sweet lightning katana.

You do heavy and light attacks, dodge and manage stamina.
But the stances and the stamina recovery system encourages a more proactive playstyle than souls I think.

the game is coming out this year, genius

Did anymore chapters of the manga show up?

No, unfortunately I couldn't come close to killing it and I mostly avoided the red people on the way there.
I did kill them all at separate times, but I more or less just used my running away skills to reach the dog.

It's fairly hard, but not totally unforgiving.
If I can make it to the end, it should be possible for everyone provided they try and don't get pissed off.

It seems to have a pretty good variety of combat options and the way forward isn't entirely set in stone so you can find your own way to advance.

I don't really understand the spirit animals, but they were cute and helped me kill a few things.

>female Character.
You mean we're not just Geralt?

>You mean we're not just Geralt?
she's an npc

Damn no cute samurai.

Geralt's still pretty good though.

Nice, that's about what I was expecting. Definitely going to try the new beta then. Thanks anons, I'd suck your dicks if that were possible over the internet.

because they are not? because footfags actually appreciate woman that can take of themselves physically and it is shown by their feet where there's no corns And calluses. Footfag are people that appreciate hygiene. They are probably woman that keep themselves clean.

>I'd suck your dicks if that were possible over the internet
And I might not press charges.

You're a naughty boy, user.

Futafags, or homosexuals as i like to call them, exist so they are not

>Footfag are people that appreciate hygiene.
lol no
footfags want smelly feet, they want women to step on rotten eggs and dog shit and then they want to lick the shit off their feet
you disgusting faggot

...

Uhh, what?
The combat system is very focused on one-on-one confrontations with limited combo sets, the armor system is similiar, the Bosses are similiar in their style of encounter, the camera work is very reminiscent.

Maybe a clone isn't the right word but it's definately alike, you're just being intentionally dense for pretending otherwise and getting all defensive about it.

the devs even said it's a souls clone, so you're only making yourself look stupid

>it's pretty much nothing like Souls

>the armor system is similiar
I don't know enough about Dark Souls to dispute the rest, but the armour system is randomly generated.
That is, unless they changed it at least.

In Dark Souls the armour is placed in specific spots and the stats are always the same. The armour in Nioh is more akin to a Diablo randomised stats things.
Though I haven't played Diablo extensively either.

It has Diablo/Borderlands randomised loot, actually.

>limited combo sets
Eh? It has a skill shop, each weapon-style having dozens of unlockable techniques that can be customised ala Ninja Gaiden.

They never said this at all, but alright

I'm assumng most of you weren't in the thread about an hour ago when we were watching this, so here's the dev stream from then. Sony Japan Studio's Masaaki Yamagiwa (Who produced Bloodborne) sits in for a while and fights the Onyroki. There's also some new information and brief snippets of some new stuff, including the blacksmith that was mentioned in the Alpha Demo.

From what I just read yes, they are giving people a chance to get the first mark and if you already have the first mark you can jump straight into the new stage/level and go to work on the next mark. I'd source you, but I'm currently squat and surf.

It was all in a press release that KT released a few days ago. I'll just copy and paste the paraphrased info from the last thread.

>The demo will consist of a new tutorial dojo, Usuki village from the original demo and a new stage, Nakatsu, a mountainside area which eventually spans into a series of labyrinthine caves
>The boss of Nakatsu will be a Hinoenma, the Japanese folklore equivalent of a Succubus (We've seen her before in the original TGS reveal and E3 trailers)
>Completing Usuki village will provide you another chance to claim The Mark of the Conqueror if you missed it the first time, with a new DLC, "The Mark of the Strong" being rewarded for beating Nakatsu
>New players will have to complete both stages, but players who earned the Mark from the alpha demo are able to skip right to Nakatsu, as well as getting some bonus equipment for the duration of the demo
>Despite Team Ninja originally saying otherwise, Daifuzu Shrine will NOT be included again for the beta demo. Nor will the catacombs under Daifuzu where Tachibana Muneshige is fought that was shown at E3
>The changes made from alpha demo (Reworked HUD, Zelda/Souls-style lockon, lack of durability etc.) will be implemented in the beta demo, as well as new content like the dual wakizashi weapon-type and the Earth spirit guardian Fuseushi
>Completing both stages will unlock a bonus "twilight mission" version of each stage, which contains tougher enemies and better loot
>Another feedback survey will be posted on KT's website on the 23rd

Thanks for the redirect user. Shortened the "dizzy" animation then? Doesn't seem that brutal anymore

>game is called NI-OH
>releasing alongside the playstation NEO
>has enemies called O-NI

It's shorter, yes. That said, enemies still hit like a truck, so that time spent incapacitated can still make all the difference.

Didn't getting hit while out of breath knock you out of the animation or am I remembering it wrong?

Because a ton of people whined about it being too difficult. The same people that spent 20 minutes trying to kill the first enemy because their ADHD made them forget they picked up a sword two seconds into the demo.

that the lock on now prevents you from turning your back to the enemies (and take extra damage) should leave people less frustrated.

I can understand why they made the change but once you got used to it the old system was fine I think.
You could free run to avoid attacks and use block when you needed to change your facing towards the enemy.

So, are we excited about possible waifu's?

wonder if the girl from the manga who tries to teach William Japanese will appear in the game.

Did that ever continue?

If it's a single hit yeah, but usually you'd get stunlocked between multiple blows.

There's 3 chapters, I think. No one's translated any of them though, sadly.

Just a question: What spirit animals did you guys use? I tried each, but pretty much stuck with the wolf since it seemed like fire was the most useful, but I fee like I may have missed the point of the other ones.

Am I stupid for assuming the Daifuzu Shrine is the upgrade shrine? If it is then completing this demo could prove challenging.
If I remember correctly the majority of Japanese players were the ones calling for nerfs and such. It took me several tries to kill the first "dark spirit/summonable enemy" by the broken ladder in the demo. The only reason I kept fighting him was because I thought that was the way I had to go for a while after seeing the ladder in that area. After getting my shit pushed in and farming some repair items what were they called again? I was able to adjust and beat both stages. That second boss was pretty tough until I learned that you could stand under the roof of the arenas entrance to keep him from using his lighting attack (the one where it creates puddles that stunt/suck your stamina away.)

Hopefully you can fight the spider boss in this demo.

SHARK

I want to fucking William.

I didn't use them often. Maybe once or twice, mainly because I kept forgetting about them, but I kept the starting one for the most part.

>I got super salty over that second bosses one hit kill

Ahh, felt good to learn his tells after getting my shit pushed in so many times

PLAY STATION NEO

Sold. They better not fuck it up.

Soo..
What is this game?

Not sure about you, but I actually felt satisfied beating the demo. Very few games these days give that feeling.

Also have they announced whether there will be a PC version or not? It's nice to have the option between graphics or frame rate, but I'd rather have both myself.

>enemy waits while you fight one

yeah, 3 on 1 for sure, user... whatever you say

But you ended up beating any obstacle you came across. That's what playing this type of game should be about, overcoming what the game throws at it. It even gave you the ability to summon if you're too shit to beat it yourself.

I used the fire one too.

It was really strong.
If you activated it just as you put a boss into zero stamina you could basically stun lock them for 50% of their health.

Daifuzu Shrine was the second level of the Alpha Demo with the Nue boss.

You been living under a rock since TGS last year famalam?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nioh

PS4 exclusive for the foreseeable future.

You just know Gladium's going to come in and start shitting up the thread now.

I read all videogame news, listen to several podcasts and regularly read Sup Forums.
Still never heard of it.

Only summons I did were the enemies attempting to get better drops, was the player summon system actually active in the demo? I'm still looking forward to the game, but hopefully they don't make it any easier.
I saw a video of someone pretty much ending Nue with one charge of the spirit beast.
The shrine was the stage then? I'm guessing they removed it to add the new stage and keep file size to a minimum. I'd ask you to explain who that is, but chances are it's no one important. This game will actually be the only reason my playstation will see any use in the past 5 months. If they release a PC version I'll probably end up getting it, but only during a high discount sale.
