Is Todd Howard the most successful liar in video game development?
Howard totes all of his upcoming games as some new great step in gaming, something that will "revolutionize" the industry as we know it, and it works. Every single one of Howard's games gets hyped through the roof by the public, people start freaking out about anything and everything video game related when Howard makes an announcement, and it never pays off. He doesn't make the perfect games like everyone expects him to, he makes good games, some not even good.
So my question is, why does Todd get a pass when all other developers do not?
When Peter Molyneux lies about what the next Fable will bring people call him out on his shit. When Sean Murray lies for years about the """content""" that No Man's Sky will have there is public outrage.

Todd Howard can do it so well, because it isnt always so far from the truth what he says. Sometimes it is but not always. Also he is good a lying because he is a genuine nice guy, and is charismatic. He can also stand on a stage and say everything clearly. People like him, so they believe him.

Imagine the drama of a vulnerable Lara Croft, still persisting in her worldly adventures despite her illness. It needs fleshing out, no pun intended, but we guarantee the gaming world would be shocked, stunned, and moved at the effort to make Lara's character more meaningful. We love Lara, but it's about time the industry had a big shock for a change.
