Why would you combine groceries and drugs? One everyone needs every day but the other most don't use regularly and in most periods not at all.

More like region. What is a publix? Just a supermarket? Wegmans is pretty good in the mid atlantic, not really a better option out there.

Most decent supermarkets have pharmacies in them user, do you live in a shitty part of the world?

For non-Florida-fags, it's a privately owned supermarket chain, almost entirely in Florida with a few locations elsewhere in the bible belt.

Better employee pay, and the fact that employees earn stock as they work there means that it typically has better service than other options.

I really like Publix.

Have you ever considered that there's a bunch of people that need different medicine at different times and that it's more efficient to go to one store to get both your medicine and groceries so since they're already there they can just pick up a couple things they need along with their pills?

Yeah, that's the idea behind stores like Wal-mart

However, large chain supermarkets like Publix use a comparable building size to carry a much greater variety of food and grocery items, so while you can find nearly anything at Walmart, you might have to go to a store like Publix to find obscure flavors of food or some weird sauce or vegetable

A pharmacy doesn't actually take up much space and brings in enormous amounts of money so they have no reason not to fit one in there if they're able

The publix by me used to be good, but then wawa came along and their service is now shit for some reason.

I bought a bottle of the Two Buck Chuck wine. I had like 2 sips of it because it was so fucking awful. I immediately started getting the worst headache in my life. I've had hundreds of ounces of beer in a day at many football games and chugged way too much hard liquor at parties and I never had a headache as bad as 2 fucking sips of that wine.

Fun fact: Trader Joe's sells their alcohol at cost because the couple that started it got divorced with the husband getting to keep profits of alcohol sales while the wife got the rest of the company, so then she just had them sell all the alcohol at cost to deny him anything

In terms of profit and such the Pharm departments are usually fairly low. Its more so trying to get people into the store because chances are they will also get other things while at a store like walmart.

We did have an assistant store manager who used to follow her impatiently around and sigh loudly next to her since it's literally every day she would come in, but he got promoted and transferred. From what I understand the local Winn Dixie started kicking her out.

Publix actually has pretty good sushi rolls. Better than the fast foody sushi places in my town.

For the majority of subs either publix meat is 6.59 for a whole, boar's head is 7.79; half is 5.19 and 5.69 respectively. Chicken tender whole is 8.19, but that's also like 2/3lb of chicken on a sandwich.

If you want a real pricey sandwich, ask for a whole prosciutto sub, they'll price it as veggie + the weight of the prosciutto, you'll pay like 10 dollars for a sandwich.

Stop buying philly's if you don't want the price, we don't want to make them because it takes awhile so it works out both ways.

Every bit of Publix sushi I've ever had has been pretty bad.

The Philly still gets .38-.40lbs of meat like any other roast beef sub, you only pay more because of the preparation (chopping everything up and cooking it all together with the butter.) If your Publix is just stacking meat on it, they're doing it wrong.
