iirc Maotelus is THE Lord of the Land. like, on a continental scale. Sorey sealed himself away with Maotelus to purify him and to unfuck the continent/world.

Sealed away living in a dream world to pass the rest of eternity with Seres and Incest siblings.

Sorey sealed himself with Laphicet in order to purify him since he was corrupted.

In order for Laphicet to live and heal the Demonblight, Velvet sealed herself with her brother in an eternal sleep, where they dream of the life they could've had.

They don't fug, though. Although there is at least one skit, I believe, where Aizen teases Rokuro about Velvet.

However, if we're having the Loc be a party member then the villain should be one of the following: A.) a human that is split between becoming a Hellion and trying to remain a human.
B.) A Shepard turned Seraph who things that our new femShepard is not up to the task and that no LoC can be saved the way she is trying to. (though I like the idea as a starter villain).
C.) An even more broken and batshit crazy Lunnare and half-draconoid Symmone trying to be a faux LoC and using the continent to set-up a new Domain where Maleolence will be the only thing able to survive.

Basically her family is more important than boning a hot Daemon Nip.

Well, it's a long story.

Basically, a Shepard build a village (Camlann?) where he shouldn't have, moved Maotelus' shrine there, they were attacked, he was a massive dick and cursed Maotelus and Human!Leomon.

There are still other daemons in the ending, we see Rokuro kill some in the epilogue. Also not purifying dragons.

We still haven't seen the Eleanor/Magilou one.

Probably despair over watching the village of Calmann (his worshippers) get massacred.

Maotelus couldn't purify some Gouma and Rokuro, he most certainly could not purify a LoC like Velvet, but he was able to purify Aifread just before he died. In fact that's how we find out he even can. Probably because he was weakened and near death.

Shepard Michael straight-up murdered a kid, his own Nephew Mikleo to bind Maotelus to Healdalf and turn him into a Lord of Calamity because he can't die while the link between them exists.
That's why. He couldn't do shit while being tied to what was basically walking Malevolence.

One Lord of Calamity wanna be that wants to plunge the world into maevolance and destroy everything by turning everyone into hellions because the guy realizes that this is the only logical way to solve the problem.

Final boss is both a Shepherd and a Lord of Calamity and can both purify and spread malevolence. The only way to save the land is by devouring the land, killing everything and then purifying it completely.

The unfortunate fact is that Zestiria had all the material for a good story, it was right there and could have been so good.
The potential struggles the characters face, the difficulties they could have gone through and the way the story could have gone.

So I just watched that. From my understanding, Michael asked Haldalf for help but he abandoned them, and then he sacrifices his sister's child (I think that's Mikleo?) when he finds out Maotelus turned into a helion(How?) and that somehow makes Heldalf the LoC. So Sorey was just some random human from the village who survived.

Ideally you do what Zestiria didn't and make the Shepard play off the Lord of Calamity.
It's not that they're both trying to save the world by working together, as a LoC he'd probably be on board with it to some extent, but it's that they want to win the other over.

Which is why it's difficult to make a villain.

Well, Maotelus is a good god because he made a promise to his onee-san, a Lord of Calamity, after the final fight with a Shepard that had enslaved him, and that caused his onee-san a shitload of pain.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Maotelus goes along with Shepards that want to help people but actually dislikes them.

All future Shepherds are picked by Lailah who works for him. Too bad Michael turned out shit.

Why is Lailah choosing so many garbage shepherds? This is all her fault technically.

Basically yeah, Sorey's mother and also likely father being a resident of Camlann had resonance. The neighboring seraphim then decided to raise Sorey right and make him a true shepherd (which is likely why he doesn't fuck up).

Mikleo is the child that was sacrificed, they brought him back to life as a seraphim in order to be a companion to Sorey and help him to unfuck the world.

The villains would represent the extremes of their roles, and ideally you would have to endings where either the LoC convinces the Shepherd to do things his way, or the Shepherd wins instead.

Also a sad final battle against their counterpart might work for a bad ending.

She can't choose who has resonance enough to do the job of a Shepard.
She seems to be working with what she's got, she struck gold with Sorey but got shit on by the rest.

At least Rose manages to make an order of Shpeards of sorts so there are actually people that can do the job properly.

Since our protagonist LoC is not doing his job, someone else might have the chance to try to rise and take his spot, might be a good question to ask of our protagonist if he wants to keep being a hellion.

I've played most of the tales games except zestiria with three other people. Is 4 player viable in this game or am I fucked like zestiria?
