He's the worst at solo healing. Mercy and Ana are both better at all times and Lucio is only better than Zenyatta for the 3 seconds his E is up. Every character with a self-heal is actually better off using it whenever possible instead of hanging around a Lucio.

Lucio is a good group healer because it's AoE passive which means it can easily heal all 6, but it's garbage for single-target healing.

It's not because of his solo healing dipshit, it's because of his group healing and speed utility, combined with the fact that's it's all passive which means he can also contribute damage and solo contesting in addition to healing/speed.

No seriously is mostly because of that, not a single hero offers speed options to run through choke points or push with ults fast to catch them off guard, the AOE heal is shit by itself without his E while other heals heal insanely fast

Because people expect that having a healer on their team means they never have to find a health pack. Sure, his average single hps isn't as high as the others, which is mostly noticeable on the tanks, but that doesn't mean he can't solo heal at all.

He's the best general healer, where an additional helps pick up any slack to let him occasionally speed boost.

Honestly as someone who plays mercy a bunch, I think her healing rate is just fine, her problem is that her healing is mutually exclusive with her ability to damage or provide utility. The ptr changes are nice, but I don't think it's enough to warrant picking her over the others.

Assuming imba means imbalanced, you could not be more wrong. Lucio is needed on every team, koth especially, to get everyone to the point as soon as possible. And Zenyatta is needed because the discord orb is incredibly powerful in the live version. Probably the most powerful nonultimate move in the game.

How do I get better at aiming? I've been playing shootans for a very long time now but my aim is still shit. I refuse to chalk it down to my mouse and lack of mousepad, there's gotta be something that just clicks, something on top of regular practice.

Yeah his gun is pretty terrible, but you can't have it all. It's not bad at long range spam down choke points, you're rarely gonna kill anyone but it's a pretty effective way to build your ult fast.

You've probably already tried this but make sure you adjust your sensitivity in the game options to something that feels comfortable to you. You could also play against Ana bots in custom games with the option turned on that only allows headshots to do damage. That way she can't kill you and you can get better at aiming for the head.

Also if you're practicing sniping, you should check out Widowmakers control options. She has individual sensitivity settings for when you're scoped

Getting on the point asap doesn't matter that much, the result will be the same whether your team is worse or better. Not to mention that the point won't even be active for a minute and no one goes right on the point at the beginning. That's just fucking nonsense. Of course it's nice but it's far from the reason Lucio is as good as he is. It's also hard as fuck to aim with many classes when speed boosted and far from always even ideal.

He is imba because of the AoE heal while being able to defend himself and a pita to kill and of course his ult which can render some ults almost useless, Genji's, for example.

And the best thing about Zenyatta of course is his ult, not the other shit. Rendering Zarya's, Genji's, Pharah's, Roadhog's, even somewhat Reaper's, Soldier's etc. 100% useless. And since his buff he really isn't that easy to kill anymore as well.

With Genji's ult being nerfed into oblivion now, it doesn't even last one second longer than Zenyatta's anymore which makes it even more imba.

74 was my highest then I basically stopped because I lacked the time, but since I've seen amazing players at rank 50 and utter shit players at rank 80 ("kicker", for example), I'd say it's basically meaningless. You just have to be lucky with your team, some are, some aren't. Even someone like Seagull actually gets carried a lot by his team. He basically always has a Mercy on his ass and never queues solo.

Whether or not you think it's bad game design is up to you, but it absolutely is not imbalanced. Every other support can negate just as many if not more ultimates as Zenyattas, and even if it does take good positioning and awareness, Dva can block more ultimates than he can without using an ultimate.

People who don't know how to use lucio correctly. A lot of higher level play was losing the second healer comp if there was a lucio because you can easily substitute soldiers heals for any other healer who isn't lucio. The Streetpig buff will make the other healers even more useless since almost every comp in season two will use 3 self healing characters

Give her an E ability that covers one of her failings as a character. Either a dash that doesn't require a teammate, a stun or damage move, or an AOE heal. Mercy needs to either justify her presence on the front lines with AOE heals or have a way to solo escape/deal with flankers to make the fact that she can only do one thing at a time, dies immediately with no teammates, and has to be tied 10 meters at most away from her target.

If they changed guardian angel to have 0 cool down that would fix her too, since it would make her more evasive in the midst of battle and make her escape more reliable. She'd still be dead the instant she has no team members around though.

Lucio is never picked because of single-target healing, he's picked because he can provide group healing and speed boost passively while actively contributing damage, control and point contesting.
