Do you remember? Konami was trying to sell the rights of the game to the highest bidder. Microsoft eventually declined. So it's possible Sony bought the rights to the game to keep it exclusive, and then hired Kojima independently.

I'm gonna go with it anyways. Not because I believe any of this shit, but because the pre-release hype speculation daya before MGSV came out were the best days i've ever had here, it's the most fun Sup Forums ever was to me, and i've been here since 08'.
