I have like 8,000 JRPGs on my backlog. I need to stop putting them on hold and finish them in one go instead.

I'll buy it at the Christmas steam sale for 50% off

Yes. I can't wait for either of them.

I might need some more convincing

I'm buying Laura's game.
I loved the first game.
I can't wait to lay down rapped in blankets while playing 2 on my vita

I'll save images of her, but I won't buy her game

I already did.
I will, however, buy Ciel's game.

>have friend that really wants to play MH but is PC only
>mention this game to him as a decent alternative
>"i'm not playing this weab ass shit what the fuck is wrong with you?"

I don't understand these people. Why shut yourself off from over half of the video games on the market because of how it looks?

Not bad.

Yeah, Kanon is pretty great.

Dudebros are a parasite

is Resurrection going to be sold separately after 2 comes out on Steam like Tales of Symphonia to Zestria?

Noble confidant

Is it not already?

If I can see her nipple.

I don't see Resurrection on Steam at all, so I'm not sure

Gross dude, don't sexualize Alisa like that.

Resurrection is bundled with Rage Burst on steam, so if you buy Rage Burst, you get Resurrection as well.

Fuck off sissy

I must lick that armpit

The Steam and PS4 versions of Rage burst will have Resurrection as part of the package. The only preorder bonus are the crossover outfits.

good taste.

...

What about a Sariel crossed with a Chi-You?

...

Isn't that the one that's invulnerable to melee attacks, so you have to just use shots to take it down?

You're thinking of this thing.

Damn I really want Rage Burst now. Killing the same 10 aragami in Resurrection got old really fast.

Stop asking faggot. I already platinumed at

Honestly though this is one of the weebest games ever, the characters don't take any shit seriously and are all stereotypes, you've got the incompetent energetic rookie, the carefree senior, titty monster teacher, the edgelord, they all act weird as fuck for their setting. I can actually feel for Alisa when she thinks everybody is fucking retarded in this division

I want to get hit by her friendly fire

>watashit
Sage.

Well that doesn't bode well.

Guess I'll have to deal with him complaining about no MH on PC for a while longer. He refuses to try MHO or try netplay with PPSSPP.

Ah, alright.

I knew there was something in GE2 that was immune to melee, I just couldn't remember what it was other than that it had tits.

If I can get confirmation that the gameplay is better. It was alright in Burst, but I had a few problems with it:
- mostly too easy, I remember for whatever reason around the beginning not being able to equip potions, as the game progressed I completely forgot items existed
- aragami are weird sometimes, you can literally lock them in a loop and make them dash over and over in the same spot in close enough areas. I found this first with Vajra and later found out I can apply this to almost every aragami, making the battles even more easy. They will break free from the loop when enraged, but the loops are easy to cause so it's not a big deal
- the graphics weren't good enough to show Alisa's underboob cleavage
- healers never fucking heal or rescue anybody but me, and my teammates all die, but if I faint, even seconds before fainting I will have my whole team surrounding me and fighting for who gets to resurrect my dick faster
- small camera issues, mostly caused by the fact I was playing on an emulator though I guess
- most hitboxes felt weird, like Dark Souls 2 shockwaves out of nowhere, or explosions that surround me but don't hit me, most attacks where the aragami roars and then an explosion of some kind appears felt bugged as fuck
- idk general gameplay improvements I guess? gameplay was fun but lacked something, I would like a transition similar to how DBZ games handle the sequel, similar shit, yet infinitely better with their small but fundamental improvements

>I remember for whatever reason around the beginning not being able to equip potions, as the game progressed I completely forgot items existed
Jesus fucking christ thats insane

Gina is best girl

>that doujin

hnnng

Game is still easy. Resurrection is actually easier than Burst with how OP you can get now, but has more tuned-up monsters to make up for it (Blitz Hannibal in particular).
Graphics are much better thanks to the vita hardware
AI is a bit smarter but they still prioritize you over themselves. There is actually a neat thing they do with sniper heal shots where if they shoot you just as you're fainting, you won't actually go down.
Didn't have issues with the camera that didn't involve me fighting a screen sized monsters while backed into a corner
Hitboxes feel a bit better but Borg Calaman tailswings can still be bullshit (especially Susano'o)

Resurrection has a lot of improvements it brought over from GE2. New weapon types and new upgrade systems. Rebalanced bullet crafting and the new predator styles change the game up a bit.

One of the unsung waifus along with Annette.

It's still easy for the most part, but there are some monsters that are a pain in the ass like New Pita, Hannibal Gonzalez, and Arias Nova. Fighting multiple Large sized Aragami is still as annoying as ever.
IIRC the AI for Aragami got fixed so you don't have stuff like that happening. Then again I never came across something like that in Burst to begin with.
Resurrection got a visual HD makeover. Looks way better.
AI still prioritise you over others, but they won't flock to you as soon as you go down and wait until it's clear. Sometimes they'll fire a healing shot your way as you hit zero to prevent you from going down.
Camera and hitboxes I didn't have a problem with so I can't comment on it.
Resurrection is built on 2's engine and has all the QoL changes from Rage Burst so it's definitely a lot better. Rage Burst is still the better game though.

>dub only

game plays like shit

Show him the gameplay.

How many weapon types do you have in the games? It's the thing I love the most in Monster Hunter.

She won't win because her sword autism.

Melee:
Short Sword
Medium Sword
Big Sword
Spear
Rocket Hammer
Scythe

Ranged:
Sniper Gun
Assault Gun
Cannon
Shotgun

Shield:
Small Shield
Medium Shield
Big Shield

You use 1 of each.

>it's only in my language
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

This is an important question.

Do I have to keep that red Kill La Kill armband thing on my character? 'Cause it looks horrid.

And is it possible to solo every multiplayer quest?

I get how bind works but im still confused, yes the monster stops using an attack but how do i know which one it is?

You can't take the Armlet off. Your character would actually die (or worse) if it gets removed.

Solo and Multi missions aren't split, so everything in the game can be done solo or in co-op.

>alisa is my waifu xDD
>MUH DICK
>here, let me dump 1000 pictures without anyone actually wanting them
>anime titties!
>cute, CUTE
>THICC
>best girl

Do I fit in now guys? I ignored everything the franchise has to offer and reduced it to only girls to prove that Im not gay.

Short Sword
Long Sword
Buster Sword
Hammer
Spear
Scythe

Assault Rifle
Sniper
Cannon
Shotgun

Three shields that have their own damage mitigation and deployment speed.

Each weapon has some sort of secondary function, like Buster Swords being able to parry, or Long Swords being able to shoot or instantly reset your animation to neutral. In 2/Rage Burst, you can equip Blood Arts that change up your attack properties and even animations/attack patterns.

We talking about Burst or 2 here? Or both?

Rage Burst and Resurrection. Burst only had the swords and no shotgun.

>without anybody actually wanting them

So there's no multiplayer hub like Monster Hunter? I thought this thing had multiplayer quests/hunts.

So which of the two games should I play first? two or rage eater?

yes I will

How active is the online? Cant beat a mission so maybe will have better luck in multiplayer.

Well shit, I was gonna play Burst while waiting for 2 and go right to the newest game when they come out, but I guess it's better to wait for Resurrection.

The entire list of quests can be done either solo or multiplayer. If solo, you can usually bring AI partners with you to help out and such.

When yhe game comes out on PC we can talk about hunts.

So multiplayer is just friends joining onto your singleplayer quests? That's pretty cool.

Well there's still a hub, but progress is shared between Singleplayer and Multiplayer.
You can solo the missions as well if you want, or bring AI partners. Some of the survival/difficulty 14 missions are a bitch and a half though. You can even increase the difficulty of missions if you'd like.

has this game been censored in anyway?

Basically, there are 14 difficulties and each difficulty has a certain amount of story missions and well as free missions. You can play any of these missions in singleplayer or multiplayer and your progress in the story will advance and carry over for both.

So I don't have to worry about missing out on content because of PS+, that's good.

Only a little bit blood because of them wanting to package both of the God Eater games together.

Yep, pretty much.

With that said, by the time I got GEB many years ago, there was never anyone around to play with, and I managed to clear all the quests in single-player with AI partners, aside from a few of the bullshit DLC ones.

I've heard that they've increased the overall difficulty, but also given you lots more options in combat, so I'm looking forward to playing Resurrection.

I just hope they didn't ruin the 'Don't Run Away' scene.

When you devour an enemy, the blood has been toned down somewhat.

As far as I've read, that's all. They've even put scenes back in that were taken out of the original GEB for America.

Depends, how many girls like the MC, only one or does the MC get a harem?

Sorry cute girls trigger you user, perhaps /y/ better suits your tastes.

>'Don't Run Away' scene

They added a new one for the end of the Resurrection storyline.

Just release it already you slut.

According to the internet, if you play as a male MC in GER, you hook up with Alisa by the end of the game, and it's even referenced in GE2.

They reduced blood splatter for overseas markets (probably for the Euros) but other than that no changes.

Tangentially related, but the International version is currently ENG VA only. Which is a shame because I love Maaya Sakamoto's work. An undub is in the works, but it isn't finished yet.

Alisa is the only "confirmed" one. You can headcanon the rest if you want.

I heard there are people sane enough to go to /e/ if they want cute girls and Sup Forums to talk about fucking videogames instead of dumping the same 20 pictures and the same "le best girl" oneliners over and over in every fucking thread.

nah, it's all just Alisa wanting to fuck your character but never coming out about it , and then continued references to that in GE2 because the canon protagonist is male, nothing unusual

Well I don't want an easy game, but I hope it's not just the equivalent of a Monster Hunter game full of Yian Garugas, Plesioth and tons of bullshit multi monster arena quests..

>added a new one

A new what? A new scene? Does the MC speak in it, too?

So I just picked up resurrection on my Vita, and I've just gotta ask when it gets good.

Everything up until rank 3 has been a fucking joke so far, you swing once or twice and it dies, yay mission complete, followed by some weird broken story and boring as fuck hub.

How do I order that gun bitch to heal me?
Why are certain team mates available for some missions then gone forever?

Literally what the fuck is anything?

Where do I get cotton?

yes

It's because they wanted to bundle the 2 games together, but they couldn't because of issues bundling two games with different ratings. So they dropped the blood by like 10-20% while devouring.

>Well I don't want an easy game,
Well you don't want God Eater.

The game starts picking up around difficulty 5 when you have to deal with the Dyaus Pita. That's when the game starts through aragami at you that aren't Kongous, Chi-Yous, Vajras and Gboro-Gboro.

You can't order the AI to heal you specifically but you eventually get to customize their skills.

Some story missions require specific AI partners. You'll eventually unlock them all though, even the ones that get written out of the story.

Materials for clothing are gathered at the shiny gathering points on maps. You can check your in game archive for what maps give you specific items.

>Materials for clothing are gathered at the shiny gathering points on maps. You can check your in game archive for what maps give you specific items.

The wiki says cotton is from the shop, when it get there?

Really? It's that easy?

I'm still going to buy it for the monster designs, music and character creation, but is it really that easy?

If someone has played MH, can you give me a monster name that's about the difficulty of GE?

From what I remember about GEB, it wasn't a complete cakewalk, but dying was a pretty rare thing, since your AI partners can revive you if you die without costing you a cart, as it were.

You also can hold a ton of healing items. 20 small ones, 10 medium ones, 5 large ones, 5 more that heal more than a large, but you have to throw an energy ball down and physically run into them (or your teammates can take them too if it's needed) and 2 healing stations that essentially work as the energy ball but stick around to heal the entire team, but only once per member.

With that said, though, while I don't remember anything being quite as bullshit as Plesioth or Garuga, the hitboxes are definitely not as refined as MH's, and there's a handful of late-game quests that set you up against three or four monsters, all at the same time. And the arenas you fight in aren't zoned like in MH, so there's no running away or chasing monsters out with dung bombs or whatever. I remember one specific end-game mission, might've been DLC, that pits you against four of the stronger monsters all in a tiny little arena, all at the same time.

You do have a shield, though, which not only improves your various defensive stats, but bringing the shield up to block an attack blocks 75-100% of an attack's damage, depending on the type of shield you use.

As you progress through the story the vendor will get new items. He'll have everything by Difficulty 9 I believe.

Already bought it. Just wish they'd release GE:R early so it could gain some traction and divide the playerbase a bit less.

Whats with both girls that both MC help that they want to suck their dicks so much?
This is totally fine, i cant tell which guy got luckier.

Well until the game is in our hands and we can post our own screenshots we will post art of characters while talking about the game. We can post Alisa and still talk about the fucking game user. They are not mutually exclusive things.

It wont show up right away. Normally the rule of thumb is that if you unlock costume sets, then the corresponding material to craft them will be buyable next difficulty or so. If you want to craft that clothing now you have to go find the material on the appropriate map.

God Eater is easy compared to MH because of how OP your characters get.

You know how in MH you're lucky to have 5 skills you want in an endgame set? My current Resurrection character has 36 active skills and 5 I can activate in battle.

GE characters basically have Evade Extender, Marathon Runner, Guard+2, Guard Boost and ESP by default. There also isn't a sharpening mechanic and you reload ammunition by attacking the monster with your melee weapon.

>mfw 2:33

>Marathon Runner

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. Don't forget that even swinging your weapons in GE costs stamina, and running out leaves you vulnerable for quite a while.
