Alliance outnumber the Horde about 4 to 1 in canon

>Alliance outnumber the Horde about 4 to 1 in canon.
>Alliance still fuck up and get their asses kicked most of the time by them.

Embarrassing.

F-f-f-for the alliance!!1

alliance are literally weaklings though.

you've got fucking orcs who are 10 feet tall, blood elves and all the other cool shit with the horde

they havent fought the Horde in like 10 years
its only demons and corruption and shit

...

>Alliance outnumber the Horde about 4 to 1 in canon.
Where is this even remotely?

The Alliance probably do outnumber the Horde but it is nowhere near 4 to 1. The Alliance have stronger magic and technology but the Horde soldiers are physically much stronger. It evens out.

What the fuck has Vol'jin ever done apart from being stabbed like a chump, first by Garrosh's assassin and now a nameless demon?

Oh well, it was nice seeing Genn Greymane, now I just need to wait another 5 years to see my racial leader do anything.

Wowwiki.

Horde: 292,220 approx
Alliance: 800,000 approx

what do you mean most of the time

The Horde meanwhile is constantly upgrading their weapons of war, Orcs and goblins producing more siege weapons and Iron Stars, Belves have Mana bombs and blood anima sentries from ToT, and undead plaguing everything with more undeath.

The Alliance is the underdog in this war, with humans forced to one kingdom, dwarves constantly infighting against their dark Iron brethren, Gnomes nuked themselves, and nelfs only care about Kalimdor with Draenei staying because the Legion are focused on Azeroth.

>and technology
Not since Cata. Goblins are the main driving force behind Garrosh's rise to power and he mopped the floor with everyone during his time thanks to that.

>The Alliance have stronger magic
>Blood Elves regain the Sunwell
>bathing in magic for thousands of years while studying it
>Silvermoon should be Dalaran's superior
>They literally taught humans magic

Humans must be the center of the universe in all aspects.

Sylvanas did nothing wrong.

so what would be next

This.

The horde are also united and arent afraid to run from a fight to save themselves.

Horde is pretty much better than alliance in everything but technology and even then, they quickly caught up on most things besides air, but the alliance air fleet is decimated after broken shore anyway

The Horde leaving the alliance to die was one of the best tactics they ever used against them and now they are poised to clean them up and slaughter with ease

Unfortunately we know this doesnt happen because Anduin leads the army of light, fucking gay.

I hope Thrall comes back stronger than ever with a head full of hair. If not maybe Dota2 Lina style head on fire thing. (kinda like his skin in HotS Earthbreaker)

cool

but what happens next

So is Shadowpriest the new strongest class by lore?

>alliance are portrayed as the one taking down most bosses in the lore
>meanwhile horde players has the majority of all first world kills
youtu.be/vYXMIti8aQw
The only thing alliance players are good at is PvP but that was mostly because humans had their racial being OP

also
>horde players also show that they know the lore and are open to discussion compared to alliance player that usually resort to memes and overusing the words "nigger" and "dindu"

>tfw fell for the "Alliance is full of 12 year olds meme"

Holy shit the 3 years I played Horde never did I meet so many try hard edgy 14 year olds playing undead or female belves or insecure 20 year olds with no futures playing Trolls.

Then I go and make a Human warrior one weekend because why the fuck not and get straight into a guild with members happy to join me in dungeons and level me up and have a blast in guild chat.

This was all TBC and WotLK mind you.

actually, the highborne elves taught the humans magic that they learned from the well of eternity. Blood elves descended from the high elves, who descended from the highborne. Malfurion recently emitted the highborn into the alliance. Basically, you're wrong.

Warlocks are and will always be the strongest class in lore.

So canon and (vanilla) WoW has something in common. Interesting.

Horde would have been dismantled if it wasnt for your pic related and the initial naivety of my pic related.

The Horde only exist canonically because half of the WoW playerbase do not want to suddenly not be able to log into their slutmog blood elfs.

that's not even 3 to 1

Enjoy being buttfucked by demons when you fuck up your allies

>The Horde leaving the alliance to die was one of the best tactics they ever used against them and now they are poised to clean them up and slaughter with ease
the most retarded comment ever...

>the horde is united
>the orcs kicked all the other races out for a whole expansion.

>Following any lore after The Frozen Throne

teenagers pls go

Probably Warlocks or Mages at large

Warriors are the most badass though since they are the only one to actually hurt Sargeras

THOSE ARE SERIOUSLY THE NUMBERS FOR ALLIANCE AND HORDE POPULATIONS?

Holy fuck they're both so small. They have two enormous continents between them why aren't they fucking like crazy?

>beat alliance
>cower and retreat literally seconds away from a chance to kill Gul'dan

#Syllary4Prison

...

>still plays a game meant for slow in the head casuals

Embarrassing.

edgy

>using Knaak's mary sue shit

Cause people keep dying to magic shit and wars

People that would make a better Warchief than Cuntvanas

> still using this excuse to shit on a game with enough content for both casual and hardcore players
kek

Est. Population of Earth in 35 B.C., 10 million

>Jaina murdered her own father for the Orcs
>Didn't stay with Arthas in taking out the zombies
>Gets BTFO on all fronts

Why did you list blood elves as cool shit?

do you even know what the word means?

The guy who wrote the Warcraft series left after Vanilla WoW was released. The shit that passes for plot in WoW is so incredibly retarded.

more like factions that dont make sense to be in the horde but were shoved into it anyway because horde needed a faction for people who didnt want to be an ugly monstrosity

I wish this was still TBC where Blood Elves were outlawed and an automatic lynch ban.

The blood elves are endangered. I think the tauren were in wc3, actually so we're the darkspear trolls. The forsaken are just the Lordaeron scourge who weren't killed again. And the orcs are leftovers.

Surprised the horde can hold so much land

Hamuul Runetotem

Iron Horde and the new horde from SoO was a bolt hole for the butthurt orcs who didn't like the other races winning the war for them and now the subversive element is cleansed from the main horde.

>still giving a shit about factions
with the class halls it's pretty much canon that you start to fight for yourself, and stay in your faction just for convenience
the only good thing about legion

>Garrosh*

Proves the Horde only exists but for the grace and mercy of the Alliance - and on more than one occasion.

Also Jaina is an absolute trainwreck of writing. More flipflopping than Garrosh. I hope she really has been replaced by a dreadlord. Would kinda make it weird for Kalecgos though, him fucking a male demon all along that it.

It's ok to admit you're stuck in 2003, user.

what a great move

>wants to be Warchief

They used the Horde as an immediate reaction to the Night Elf invasion that was a response to Kael'thas Army (unrelated actions from Silvermoon) attacking the Draenei.

As of now, they have way more influence in the Horde with Sylvanus in charge than ever before.

Serious question, why the fuck are the Tauren with the Horde?

Don't they worship Night Elves or some shit? Perhaps worship is not the right word, but don't they view them as 'almost-gods' or some shit?

Saurfang shoulda been warchief.
He is a tactical leader, a warrior, knows how to fight, is well loved by the community, and has worked with the alliance before, while also not taking their shit.
Literally 10/10 Warchief material.

You mean like Night Elves and Undead?

Wrong. High elves and blood elves are the same, the only difference is political.

Quel'thalas taught humans magic. It's in the new lore book. They were already sipping on the sunwell at that point.

And nothing you said makes me wrong about anything.

The tauren accepted help from the orcs and trolls as a means to deal with centaurs.

Blood elves are cool than shit

for example, they used magic to make their brooms keep the city clean so that they won't have to ever sweep the floor

and other things of that nature

>The horde are also united and arent afraid to run from a fight to save themselves.
lel loktar ogar indeed

WHY DIDN'T HE KILL JAINA PROUDWHORE?

Friends with Orcs for giving them Mulgore in WC3.

Friends with Trolls for Darkspear Rebellion.

And that's it.

Possible world ending shit happens like every other week. No surprise the populations aren't very high because everyone keeps dying.

they worship the earthmother

They were being killed by Centaur and Thrall and co. helped them out.

Blizzard hates the alliance, Metzen claimed he loved paladins the most to try and deny the obvious truth that he loves the horde.

When Warcraft started out it was generic and ripping off warhammer fantasy, with time they built up lore for both humans and orcs and the other races that joined them.

This peaked in WC III, where blizzard introduced the night elves and at least tried to make them distinct (ripped a lot from warhammer high elves but thats besides the point). In WC three, night elves were metzens baby. he began the spark for making the horde dindu nuffins but he only did it because of the fun he had writing clan lore for WC2. Even though thrall was born Metzen, Malfurion was metzens insert character which is why he allowed Richard Knaak to make him so insanely powerful in the books.

All of this ended with WoW. You see lord of the rings is most likely one of the main reasons WoW was successful. WoW released a year after the trilogy was completed and everyone was wishing they could role-play the battle of Gondor and other shit, because I remember MMO's starting to become a huge deal when Lord of the Rings was successful.

For marketing reasons, blizzard knew that they needed a generic "good" faction that resembled classic tolkien archetypes, so they stitched together the alliance from an incredibly generic human faction not featured since WC 1, already generic dwarves and finally elves. Because of WC III they decided to use night elves instead of high elves though they probably considered that a mistake. To make night elves appeal to the tolkien inspired faggots they specifically ruined and drained the night elves of anything interesting to make them a close to Tolkien elves as possible.

This was a major stepping stone in essentially making the alliance the most boring thing to write for in the world, compared to the horde which blizzard to be creative to get to "work".

Tl;DR Alliance is shit because LotR

Makes sense, but he'd be dead by the end of Legion because warchiefs cannot do literally anything but die
Saurfang's our guy, I don't want him to die

They are honorbound. They don't so much worship night elves, rather they have similar religions and practices of worship, so they get along very well.
The Tauren are honorbound to the horde because they first saved the tauren from the centaurs, and second Rexxar saved Baine from a group of centaur cannibals and his father vowed to always be loyal to the horde. Baine is probably keen on keeping the same promise.

>Legion

>Alliance loses Varian
>everyone mad, calls Varian a cuck
>Jesus Christ shit retard

>Horde loses Vol'jin
>nothing of value was lost
>better leader steps up
>nobody cares

pretty much.

The horde/alliance dichotomy really annoys me for that reason, it just doesnt make sense for so many factions to be choosing either side.

shut up

Jaina doesn't really flipflop. She only started hating the Horde after they destroyed her city and killed most of her people, which is fair. The only really bad thing about her is that Kalecgos exists, but the dragons were always written badly.

Garrosh flipflopped fucking constantly throughout Cataclysm and the writing/quest team admitted it was because they were retarded and didn't communicate with each other. He was ok in Wrath and MoP though.

the well of eternity was the original source of magic, not the sunwell. there's also a lot of time between blood elves and high elves iirc.

>entire race being btfo by literal trash mobs
I knew the tauren were shit, but jesus

The voice of the horde cannot be silenced.

Sick, dude. Brooms.

You're a faggot. Don't worry though, you'll never be as gay as blood elves though.

>Better leader
>The crazy zombie elf who gets BTFO multiple times

>Blizzard hates the alliance

This was pretty obvious as far back as Frozen Throne.

The "human" campaign was actually blood elves, in which humans were the antagonists for the first half and the second half it wasn't even about the alliance or the elves anymore, but Illidan's campaign.

same thing for trolls, being beaten by murlocs then lost their isles to a lvl 10 for years.

I thought Void trumped Fel at the cost of sanity, with Fel trumping Arcane at the cost of one's years left to live?

tauren seem on the brink

Zul'jin was offed by like, 5 murlocs.

In lore aren't those 'horde' races where they just zerg you to death? I know they're trash in-game but aren't they considered to be extremely dangerous in-world like the Skaven in Warhammer and shit?

Lorewise it seems to be

>God Tier
Mages, Warlocks

>High Tier
Druids, Paladins, Warriors with plot armor, Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Shamans

>Mid Tier
Priests, Monks

>Low Tier
Hunters, Warriors without plot armor

>Look Out, That Nigga Got a Knife Tier
Rogues

>For nearly four thousand years, the high elves remained relatively at peace. But while the elves established their nation, the Amani plotted their next assault. 2,800 years before the First War, they unleashed it upon the high elves. The Troll Wars ignited. Suffering loss after loss, the high elves turned to the humans of Arathor for support. The two formed a military alliance in exchange for the instruction of 100 humans in arcane magic. Together, they crushed the Amani; an empire that had endured for more than twenty thousand years. Humans and high elves have cultivated this alliance ever since.

wow.gamepedia.com/High_elf

I said they taught humans magic. And thats exactly right. And the division between high elves and blood elves is disagreement regarding what to do after they were massacred by the scourge.

>muhh edgy ugly horde races wahhh blood elves are so gay kill them all

Blood elves are the only horde class whose lore hasn't been completely fucked or ignored. They are consistently the ones making shit happen for the horde. They have by far the most power currently, with only UD and gobbies coming close.

Mages have always been ridiculously OP in Warcraft lore. They can do literally fucking anything.

>Blood elves are the only horde class whose lore hasn't been completely fucked or ignored

the fact that they're part of the horde makes this false

The void is really powerful, but it's incredibly hard to use and unpredictable.
Demons tend to backstab you at some point, but they usually only do it when you lack usefullness, the void lords and old gods are just fucking crazy and could decide to blow you up for literally no reason.
A good example of this is the new Blackfathom Deeps, where the old gods flat up eat their own minions because you throw murloc meat on them.
Basically void is the strongest but also the most risky, and comes with a free case of insanity.

>does 1 thing ever
>is besties with varian yet never does anything with him
>a literally who among rogues

why does she rep rogues in HS? Grommash would be a more suitable choice.

Pls no.
I don`t want the fate of Vol-warchief-for-a-week-Jin for my hasbando.

Yeah, the original horde races were all physically imposing or dangerous to be near. Undead aren't all that strong but you can't touch them else you'll get plagued

the roman empire alone had about 40 million people in it during that time.

>not a paranoid MUH ALLIENCE player spinning conspiracy theories

Feels good to be Horde, man.

Grommash? Surely you mean Garona?

Yep, the blood elves do not make sense t be on the horde for any reason.

It was done because in Vanilla nobody played Horde and Blood Elves were highly requested to be playable, so as a population fix they gave them to the Horde.

The only probably is everyone and their mother switched to Horde to play Belf

Even taking a huge flying city for joyrides the madmen

>you could have prevented this
garithos fucking caused it

Because they needed a grill
