I am of the opinion that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, so saying a trailer is bad if it isn't as good when it's missing audio is dumb.
But a game trailer also shouldn't be a music video, so I get what you mean.
Anyway, post hype trailers that may or may not have lived up to the hype.

Why, are you implying that Vanilla's was bad? I thought it was the best. MoP was easily the worst.
BC's was a copy of Vanilla's formula with YOU ARE NOT PREPARED and outland scenes.
WotLK's was excellent because it tapped into Arthas' story.

I guess that's true with this trailer, since it's pretty much an artistic choise that fits the trailer perfectly. I guess I ment more like trailers that
A: Use a high tempo rock/rap/whatever song to hype up the trailer to a level it doesn't deserve
B: Using a song the games target group likes, to make them hyped because they connect that trailer with a good song now
C: Using a popular song for the same reasons as B

The motive for the choice of song weighs heavily. Picking a song for a trailer because it's popular isn't creative. If you look at The Phantom Pain, those trailers ended up exposing people to music they didn't know they liked until their heard it.
