I hate over-hyping myself for sequels, but hearing that GR2's map is going to be nearly three times bigger than the first game's has me all excited.

Three times bigger, so what?
Why ps4 can't into indirect light and ambient occlusion?
>mfw they basically confirmed raven x kat
You crazy nip bastards. I didn't even dare to hope with the whole newt episode.
No fooling?
So more to see and do?
White really suits her.
REMINDER
Wasn't that just for comparing scores and race times or something?
I think they've said there isn't going to be an co-op.
...
...
But then explain this
Uh, a basic promo for Remastered?
The back of my box says "network functions"
Don't play with my heart, user.
Is the first game available on ps4? I wanna play it but I don't wanna buy a vita
It is.
Yes and you can get it for like 10 bucks
The controls are also a lot better on console imo and it runs at 60fps and includes all the DLC and art gallery
They released Gravity Rush Remastered for the PS4 not too long ago.
Comes with the DLC too, so it's a pretty good deal.
I kind of expect them to remain awkward bros.
would not protest them attempting to take things further though

A new challenger approaches?
...
MULTIPASS
Hoping they keep switching up the attire in GR2.
So is Kat's white outfit only available as a pre-order bonus?
...
The physical pre-order bonus I believe.
Does GR2 have a continuing story that needs GR1 to understand?
Haven't played it yet but am interested.
nah, you get it for pre-ordering on psn too
love it
Yes, GR1 isn't really that long and it literally answers non of the questions and finsihes pretty much no storyline
A lot of stuff was cut from the vita version which iwll most likely, hopefully, happen in GR2
Its a continuing story. Maybe they'll do a recap on what happened in the first one but I'd recommend getting GR1 anyway because its great.
Just go play the first one. It's cheap, fun, and you can beat it fairly quickly.
GR2 apparently initiates things with the start of a new conflict, but the first game left a lot of loose plot threads unanswered to pick up on again in the sequel.
So context would definitely help.
...
I wasn't so sold on Gravity Rush, sadly. It looked and sounded absolutely gorgeous of course, and it was nice to see Japan Studio actually taking some risks again after playing it safe for years, but the gameplay never really grabbed me at all. I'll pick up the sequel again though, even if partially just because I feel like I should support the old Silent Hill guys.
How soon? I am so ready for this.
I'm with you. I didn't care for the combat whatsoever in the first game. I'm still buying the sequel though and I'm not entirely sure why.
Nov 30 EU, Dec 1 NA
No wedding dress costume, NO buy
AYY YO IT'S ANOTHER SHILL THREAD
I liked fiddling with the flight mechanics, but agree that the overall combat and race challenges got pretty repetitive after a while.
But something about the surreal sense of wonder about the world still kept me interested. Like how it veered back and forth from colorful and charming to abstract and darkly metaphysical. Like starting that simple fetch quest, that slowly turned into an endless nightmarish descent down the pillar to the edges of reality.
I just can't deal with deep water and black endless holes in videogames
That part in GR was almost too much for me
Kind of hoping that there's a journey that takes us up this time around.
Most likely. GR2 probably has all the stuff that was cut from 1
Even the art gallery has tons of shit that was cut
I shall never understand the context behind some of the concept art.
Kat is for __________
kek
Isn't that from a costume contest ?
Flying around as Lady Gaga would be great
getful...
Raven
I think my favorite detail from the gallery was the implication as to why a lot of Aki the fortune teller's bizarre predictions actually come true.
>mfw
Kat could've been fist-fighting a drug-dealing Anubis.
...
...
...
Ah, wouldn't have picked up on that reference. Thought that it had entailed a side-quest too strange to make the cut.
this and Ace Combat 7 are pretty much the only PS4 exclusives that have me really interested. Is that bad
Not really. I like my PS4, but there really aren't that many exclusives and i don't know how to feel about Last Guardian after all these years
...
...
No love for Ken-Sama vs. The Oni Horde?
Was Gravity Rush really that good? or was it just something vita owners clung to because it was the only good game on the system?
I was thinking about getting the HD remix.
...
Oh shit i always forget about it. I almost forgot the beta is in a few days
so is the hd version any good?
i loved the game on the vita and i wouldnt mind playing it again with better graphics and resolution
Isn't Nioh just a souls clone? I played part of Demon's Souls but it's not my style game
...
Well, you definitely won't regret since it's really cheap.
It's a fun game with good characters and interesting world and gameplay
But it answers absolutely no questions when it comes to story
So you'll definitely need to play the second game too
Gravity Rush 2 and weaponised lesbians - powered by orgasms. What a time to be alive.
...
The concepts are similair, but the gaemplay itself is way faster and relies more on dodging and using all your tools
...
No. It's somewhere between Ninja Gaiden and samurai-flavoured Souls. It's definitely a unique entity.
Yes.
>the gameplay itself is way faster and relies more on dodging
Oh, that actually sounds pretty good then. I'll pay closer attention to it
Nah, the Demon's Soul influence is more apparently through the mechanics themselves (Bonfire/Shrines, Bloodstain revenants etc.) and the exploration, the combat itself is a completely different beast that owes itself partially to Onimusha and Ninja Gaiden.
every goddamn Gravity Rush thread, one of you fuckers shows up and says some shit like this and then scurries away without leaving so much as a drop of sauce.
you goddamn teases.
Depends what you want out of it.
The combat's fairly basic, and the story can get a bit all over the place, but if you can overlook that for some charming creativity and atmosphere then you may enjoy yourself.
No! Kat is for Sid!
Sid's a fag
Remastered seems like a solid port to me.
I've been holding off on preordering the game in hopes a limited edition would be announced. Any word on something like that happening, or should I just bite the bullet and preorder the regular edition? I'm getting it day one regardless.
You're a fag! You're just jealous of Sid! Jealous!
I'd say wait for that PlayStation event early next month. If you don't hear anything by then, safe to assume that the West isn't getting anything.
He is quite the looker by GR2.
I still think he's Alias though.
There's no last day to preorder something. Just wait until the week before?
I want to fuck the Kat.
Is that just Syd in a Nathan Drake get-up?

Thanks so much dude
>fully expected Sup Forums to hype up a generic adventure game because it has cute girls in it
>expected gravity shifting mechanic to be railroaded and gimmicky
>fights are actually really awesome
>fighting upside down and trying to manage the gauge mid fight
