No, don't do it unless your 390 is hitting 90+ degrees while gaming.

go for it. Also can anyone recommend a good monitor?

i like the 16:10 ASUS ProArt

Well you have to decide what you want. Do you want high refresh rate or IPS? Freesync? Gsync? Korean?

If you just want a regular monitor for relatively cheap, the new HP 25er/es might be a good option.

7950 vapor x here. cdn overpriced card, its killing me here.

thanks

If you're at 1080p there is no card worth buying besides a 1070.

Poorfag detected

Really depends on the CPU you have right now, I trusted the people who said "nah, you're i5-2500k won't bottleneck a 1080". And those people were wrong.

Why the fuck would you do it?

Do you have a 1440 21:9 144Hz screen or something?

Don't forget 21:9

It's 144hz
4k
1440p
21:9 1080p
21:9 1440p

And then if you're a rich fag there is GOD

Aka 21:9 curved 1440p IPS with 144Hz

the only right choice

it is, i got one..4k gaming is possible at max settings:) tested on batman arkham knight, witcher 3, gta v , overwatch and fallout 4(fallout4 runs the worst but its okay)

Unless you have a 4k monitor and really want to play at 4k... there's no fucking reason to upgrade atm. 390 is perfectly good.

buying any monitor is absolutely idiotic currently

OLED is right around the corner and Asus revealed, two months ago, a real (not strobed) 240hz TN panel. first 240hz since the CRTs

R9 390 is the best bang for your buck card on the market right now, really no need to overkill with a 1080. If you should get any to replace your 390 it should be a 1070, but still you're perfectly fine with a 390 for now.

>R9 390 is the best bang for your buck card on the market right now

'No'

...

I've still using the 770 I got while building my PC 2 years ago and I feel it's time to upgrade.

Which of these would be the best for a 1070? Should I just get the cheapest one?

It's worth noting that AMD research from that picture covers both GPU and CPU

>no 1060
>no 480
Old chart is old

youre not a poorfag are you OP? I feel sorry for you
