The footage they posted that was supposedly a proof of conept whipped up in 1 week looked vastly superior to the actual game, which did not improve even several years after footage of the game was shown

seems like they finished it and then sat on it, or spent the next 2 years trying to make it function on all consoles besides a PC

The game was literally finished a year and a half ago, most of the time spent up until now was on muh multiplayer, which no one's gonna play since no one bought this game.

I think multiplayer was the absolute last thing they bothered with, according to the devs and inafune's translator, the bulk of dev time since showing the game a year and a half ago was getting it to RUN on all the consoles they promised. when inafune worked at capcom, they had teams for each platform a game was set to release on, whereas with MN9, inafune thought they could develop the game on all platforms at the same time, and grossly overestimated himself and his studio's capabilities

hell, the Red Ash anime kickstarter got funded and last I checked they were going to ask China for a government grant to make it actually happen as a series.

in this particular case i don't think it's an exaggeration, on wii u at least the game could actually softlock the console and it just barely ran any better on any other console. still not out on several promised platforms.

your money would be better spent on the gunvolt series or pretty much any other megaman clone in the last 5 years.

I was saying this back before MN9 came out, everyone knew it would be shit, if anything the game looked worse as time went on, and there are so many fucking Megaman games, 90% of which are really decent if not absolute classics. The core ten Megaman games each are better than most of the AAA games in the last ten years

the artstyle was scrapped and replaced with a worse one entirely to accommodate the 3ds release
