I did include them and I honestly don't see how 2 is better, except boss fights which have more gimmicks, but the rest of the combat doesn't punish you if you just spam the same button over and over, just like it doesn't in 1. But at least in 1 I had an actual feel of it and I felt like I was hitting enemies, not juggling them in air

I did play critical and 1 at proud. Maybe you should replay it at critical to realize how spammy the game is and all the things it allows you to do, except boss fights because if you spam there you're bound to lose

I've played both numbered games more than anyone probably should and I don't see what you're talking about here. The "feel" of the combat is the same as far as hitting enemies goes.
But KHII is faster, more fluid, more responsive. It easily feels better to play and the boss design is more challenging.
KH1 boss design is just "here's what would be an easy enemy but ALSO THIS SHITTY PART"

I know what happens in the long run, but I mean the idea that his story mode is him visiting each world and helping the villain 'win' while living things in a terrible situation so Aqua can come and fix them later. Most of the time it's just

Terra's main faults in BbS are 1. Being overly trusting 2. Not taking his failing the MoM well. Because of this, Xehanort is able to gas him up in order get him to follow along. This is what I mean by the blame not being ultimately on him. But if he took a second to think/not get angry/let his personal darkness rear it's head, he wouldn't have been as much trouble as he had. But Xehanort would have just found another vessel. But if you read Xehanort's reports he pretty much had his eye on Terra for a long time.

2's combat is much better on paper, but even with critical mode, the brain dead AI and misuse of reaction commands never shows what it's capable of until you beat the game and face the data Org XIII and Terra.
1 is thrilling throughout (with out rocky sections like Gummis of course..)
I think the level design of 1 was decent yet still flawed, which they decided to completely not attempt to improve in 2 by making less unique worlds. I never understood what was wrong with Atlantica but a lot of people had problems with it so I'll let it go. Olympus had tournaments so you pretty much got your fill in that world, and there's unique ideas like Wonderland.
Only level 2 has going for it is the Cavern of remembrance, which isn't even in the first version of the game.

Well yeah, I know that he wasn't actually the one that did that, but he was still involved in it.
I guess I just expected him to be worse than he was, given that he seems to attract more hate from the fanbase than any of the other main characters in the series except maybe Kairi.

A lot of the "hate" for Terra is just memetic at this point. It isn't actual vitriol. For people who take a second to look at events/read Xehanort's reports they'll know that Xehanort was pretty much gonna try to get his way not matter what and manipulated Terra when he was most vulnerable. If Terra hadn't worked out, it just would have been someone else.
