Why were the Dwemer so much better than the other races?
Elder Scrolls
If they're so good, why did they all die?
They were all dead in time to avoid appearing in Skyrim
Why is Daggerfall so much better than the other Elder Scrolls games?
The dwemer are the shittiest race in TES and the bearers of one of the most retarded tropes ever "the witnessing skeptic"
They have all this fedora tipping shit about how they dont follow no gods or magic because gods are not real and they suck, while they live on a world where even a 10 years old kid can cast a fireball. A world filled with magic, spirits, and literal incarnations of GODS and confirmed godly apparitions.
and they still dont believe
>Aliens visit Earth and show off their advanced technology
>Plebs immediately worship them like gods because they don't understand how it works
A sufficiently understood god is no longer a god.
yeah but that magic isn't real
those fireballs aren't real
those gods aren't real
those worshipers aren't real
none of this is real

They didn't die. Their race was collectively ripped from all of Mundus and became the metaphysical aspect of their giant robot.
They're technically immortal.
But neither are their arguments.
>Also the TES Universe exists as a dream of a God
They trusted science instead of gods, but they became arrogant and that was their doom
I think they believed that gods existed, but thought they were not worthy of any kind of worship. Instead, the dwemer tried to use the earthbones to achieve different things.
What are those?
The gods are simply aspects of the universe the seek to transcend.
The Numidium.
Its very nature is contrarian, so it's not uncommon for it to change shape/size.
I like those designs. Thanks, user
They're Kirkbride's. Found them while looking into c0da
he's got some great concept art
So uh, I want to play Skyrim on my Laptop...
Thing is I don't know if my laptop could handle it.
According to the info I got from System:
>Procesador: AMD C-60 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.00 HHz
>RAM: 1.60 GB
Is this good enough for Skyrim?
why dont you fucking google the required specs
also no
Elder Scrolls lore is so fucking good, it's a shame it's been squandered by the recent mediocre games.
>you will never tip your fedora so hard you merge all of your race in a robot that can un-believe things out of existence
why even live
They really screwed themselves by taking the generic Tolkien route.
wow, that sounds quite badass.
>what's the deal with "gods"?
>"gods" are nothing but entities that trascended beyond life, death, and existence itself.
>brilliant! can we trascend beyond life, death, and existence itself too?
>i don't know... can we?
Reminder that tes6 wont come out b4 2019
Let me see if I understand CHIM. Please correct me if I'm wrong: existence is basically the dreams of gods. Existence is 1, nonexistence is -1. So someone who achieves CHIM realizes they do not exist, but somehow 1 - 1 doesn't equal 0 for them.
CHIM is just the in-game explanation of the console commands
Okay so let me get this straight
Umbriel is still in Black Marsh, controlled by the An-Xileel in Skyrim's time period? Is Morrowind still controlled by a monarchy or did Redoran drop the pretense and now lead Morrowind? How exactly did the Altmer make the moons disappear and finally how the FUCK did the Imperials get the Dwarven soulgem to power the Numindium so many centuries later?
>start new character and use console commands to buff up stats
>in universe this bumfuck suddenly realizes he can become a God and do anything
That's an amusing thought.
Why even exist
>not knowing that magic is viewed as science, and science is viewed as magic
wew lad
Hence the existence of cargo cults in real life.
>taking the generic Tolkien route
Care to elaborate?
IIRC the Altmer just claimed they did the moon thing, they've got no idea what actually happened and they're hoping it doesn't happen again
The Shezarine are aspects of Lorkhan, the imperials just swapped on a massive soul gem containing the soul of Lorkhan with a sligtly different massive soul gem containing the soul of Lorkhan
Skyrim is just a generic fantasy land. Basic forests, mountains, etc, and the plot is a simple "stop evil dragons." The idea that the Dominion is egging on the war to weaken the empire is interesting, but never fully explored. Contrast all that with Morrowind, with its fantastical landscapes and morally grey "good guys."
It just means a generic medieval fantasy setting, LOTR-like. I think what user meant is that Morrowind felt like a different and unique place, while Skyrim went more with the former and became boring as a result.
>>Tolkein route
DESU, I think Skyrim is more based on "A Song of Ice and Fire series" than LOTR.
Ice and Fire's uniqueness comes from its intricate politics; other than the seasonal cycle, Westeros is a fairly standard fantasy environment.
Yeah, just like Skyrim.
>Imperial Legion
>Stormcloaks
>Ancient evil awakens from its slumber of a thousand years
>Dragons(Wyverns)
>evil sorcerers serving people in power
>Political wars
>Somewhere in a different land things are happening
But Skyrim never fully addresses it. It's all little flavoring that you can't really impact. Even the civil war is basically a non issue if you elect to ignore it.
Divayth Fyr is the baddest dude.
So I'm trying to tweak my ENB for skyrim because I want it to be a little brighter. I've tried changing the ambient light values in the enbseries.ini but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Litteraly no option I change in there seems to do anything.
>you will never have massive battles like the ones in mount/blade
>you will never slaughter thousands of jewish elves
JUST
Why the fuck can't anyone at Bethesda make a town or settlement that has more than 15 people with bigger battles that have more than 10?
did someone remember the explanation about being alive/away/something?
it's pretty much how they explain the existensce of ghosts, ghouls and the spirit/undead thing in tamriel.
Oh you're naked
Are you talking about this?
