Boss regenerates HP

>Boss regenerates HP

>if you kill the final boss you die

>boss uses any form of high defense strategy

>boss has adds
>adds regenerate boss HP
>boss revives adds

>fight enemy you would believe is a one time boss
>have to fight multiple full power versions of the same enemy later in game

>been focusing on leveling up your mage
>boss is immune to all forms of magic

>Boss learns how to counter your techniques half way through the battle

>enter boss area feeling ready to win
>your strongest party member is taken out of the fight in a cut scene
>boss fight begins

This has never happened. Give me 3 games where this happened

Not user but Bioshock Infinite, Halo Reach, Dragons Dogma

>You can only use a technique once
>Boss becomes immune to everything that damages him

Tales of Symphonia 2
Dragons Dogma (kinda)
Persona 3

>boss regenerates half of its HP when it hits zero

That match was awesome

...

>first 50% of the boss's health is invisible HP bars

>"It was like he was looking at himself in a mirror!"

>spin off game
>final boss is mc of the main game series

>Halo reach

Killing what boss would result in my dead? you mean that lone wolf mission? That has no boss nor an end.

>persona

Not a game

That Mr. Freeze fight was fucking awesome.

its acually one of the best halo missions and its like a bos fight

>if you hit boss 50% chance of hit-back
>50% chance of poisson per hit

Even tho I agree and it was a great ending it isn't really a bossfight like with tartarus

Godspeed fellow halo fan

Dragon age origins

>Kill boss's minions
>He summons them again

>list a game
>it's not a game
ok, asshole, I'll list another game

Final Fantasy X
Ikaruga (kinda)

there, you got two games, you picky bastard

Shadow of Colossus.

>Boss degenerates HP

>boss kills his own minions

sauce?

>Boss does an attack that does non-zero damage

FLCL

>YOU regenerate HP

Most of Dark Souls 2 DLC bosses, they were very resistant to hexes so I had to make a raw weapon.

>boss regenerates 100% of it's current HP when it reaches 0 HP

>Boss has an invincible state and he sits around doing nothing

>Fighting a sea serpent-like boss
>You have to dive underwater to hurt him

>final boss has an attack that formats your hard drive

>Boss has a move that insta-kills your entire party
>Boss can inflict all debuffs
>Boss can heal himself in several ways
>Boss can turn your own damage against you

>Boss nearly dying
>Uses %damage that causes random status effect on the whole party
> One member is petrified, the other got insta KO'd and the third one is confused

>Boss seems extraordinarily difficult
>Think it's a bossfight you're supposed to lose to advance the story
>It isn't

>Boss is this guy

>Cena loses clean in the middle of the ring

...

>boss heals himself to full
>Eventually set up your party so you one shot him in one big combo attack.

>The final boss is pic related

I remember the fume knight almost always went after the guy farthest away from him with a fast attack. Getting summoned by a mage to help kill him was a waste of time.

>the final boss is one of the easiest

>kills them
>summons them again
>kills them again
>summons them again
papa nito you so crazy

>Persona Q
>thing I can take on one of the FOEs ahead of time
>it's a close fight, I'm all out of SP on all of my characters and the boss needs a few more hits to die
>it uses a move and fully heals itself

>Final boss has an attack that drops your entire party to 1 HP

Fucking Radiata Stories

>leaves his NEVER GIVE UP band in the ring after he loses

what did he mean by this

>optional superboss gives an actual challenge
>reward is a superweapon

>boss regenerates hp when he kills them

He's finally at the stage of his career where his putting people over. Amazing.

>boss is actually killed by an NPC who does fuck all the whole fight then slips in at the last 1%
>receives all glory for the kill

>boss is adjoined to an ally/NPC
>have to be careful not to hit your ally/NPC while trying to damage the boss

>getting to boss is most efficiently done as a certain class
>boss nullifies every advantage of that class

>the fourth one is charmed and fully heals the boss

Why do you guys still watch wrestling? You know it's fake right? You can literally watch movies and tv shows and not the vague representation of a combat sport for children.

What would a suitable reward for fighting a tough bonus boss be? An extremely powerful piece of equipment seems redundant but it happens all the time.

Yeah it was. We need more shit like that

>boss has multiple forms

i was able to defeat this boss in golden sun 2 but never the last

to this day i haven't finished that game

>You know it's fake right?

No shit. It's fun as fuck to watch and you should try it.

>boss is capable of using all of the skills, abilities and even game mechanics as you
>straight 1v1, no higgedy-biggedy
I need more games that do this, any recommendations?

>Why do you guys watch (Literally anything that isn't a competitive sport), you know it's just stories written down and played out.
Guess people can't just be entertained by what they like but instead only but what you like.

video games are fake too lmao

>Final form is easier than the first form

Fuck you Mithos

>final boss is pure combat with no gimmicks

>Metroid Prime Federation Force
RREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Nameless God from Salt and Sanctuary.

> boss gets to spam ultimate move when at 10% HP

>final boss is mostly qte

>final boss has a hostage
>sucks HP from hostage to restore their own
>if hostage dies, game over

True veterans go for headshots

God Hand's final boss is more or less you except left handed.

Skullmageddon from Double Dragon Neon starts getting hype as shit when he falls below 20% health, teleporting all around the screen with instakills, projectile spam and invincibility periods.

How to make a game without a hint of originality but still make it fucking awesome

>You know it's fake right?
Does anyone actually think that bothers wrestling fans? I don't know jack about wrestling but I always thought that question was just a meme like old people calling every console a Nintendo.

If by die you mean you can't continue playing, all Fallout games except 4.

>boss is an anime skeleton
>bgm is Connect by ClariS

Honestly, original games are overated.
Heck if they told me they are going to release a remaster for Aria of Sorrow I would play it again, same for every Soul Calibur game.

Some games doesn't need any changes, just more content.

Meant to reply to

sauce?

I'd love a proper remake of Soul Calibur 2, actually.

>most early bosses are hard as shit, but not bullshit hard
>entire game nerfed one summer because new players are from a generation of school kids who just want to press the action button and win

Why did they get rid of Necrid? He was the most interesting character of the game.

>Boss heals itself for half HP one time in the fight
>Your character calls it out as cheating
>Boss remarks that your character heals every other turn
>Your character just stammers for a bit and the fight keeps going
boss banter is the best

sometimes a game doesn't have to be original to be good. Maybe one or two new additions to a formula, but sometimes you just need to make a good game.

All those faggots who think a game MUST be original to be good needs to take that stick out of their ass and start enjoying games for what they offer, and not for what they introduced first.

No, remasters are great. S&S isn't a remaster though.

Can't agree with overrated though. Original content, when good, is infinitely better than a good remaster.

>boss is the lifebar itself

I would be fine with a piece of equipment if it had a cool/unique effect and not just like a staff that does extra fire damage.

Other than Mr. Headless, the boss rush can be fun.

Yeah but I was trying to make a point about replaying games of the same genre or saga despite being mostly the same.

However, you must admit that creating something original nowadays is really hard, not only because how far has the industry improved, but how elitist has the gaming community become.

what games actually learn from your inputs? I don't believe this really exists, it's probably just a subtle "phase 2"

He was pretty neat. They probably got rid of him in the HD port because his character was created by McFarlane and the contract was up and they couldn't get ahold of him to properly renew it.

Definitely bummed at the lack of Link in the HD port too, though I understand why he's not there.

Cena put Styles over, how can anyone still dislike him?

Mention 300,000,000 games where this happens
