Honestly Pokemon suffers primarily from number creep: the benchmark for what's considered a good attack/hp keep going up and that's perfectly okay because Pokemon constantly introduces new cards and retires old ones via formats.
Yugioh never retires old cards, and instead of number creep they have effect creep which is infinitely worse.
