nigga this game is all about multiplayer. You can go solo and pretend like it's "muh classic single-player excavation" game but it's obviously about coop. You're missing the true experience if you don't have friends.

The game has been well received among those of have played it.

Honestly, OP, Feds is my favorite Prime game, but it's really a preference thing. If you really like the open ended exploration of the first three games, well... this game doesn't deliver.

But for those of us who loved Prime 3, this seems to be a natural evolution of that. Lots of great mission variety in this game.

HOW IS MY VOLUME?

I'm having a lot of fun with the game, especially when playing with people online.

I kind of wish there was a vs Deathmatch mode, it would be fun to use the AUX weapons on other people.

Speaking of which, what's your favorite AUX weapon?

It was made to be a co-op game. Personally, I feel like exploring alien worlds with friends feels more like a Metroid game than JUST another sci fi shooter.

This game looks like a PS1 game. Did they use the Hunters engine? Also, Hunters was fun, even the 1-player was cool.

It's just kind of boring & slow. It makes me want to replay Prime 1 or 2 more than anything.

Drones will eat any shit Nintendo gives them. You can't stop it.

The entire game just feels like a huge excuse to tease Prime 4 at the end. Not to mention the Federation having captive Metroids seriously throws a wrench in everything told to us in Super Metroid

Like seriously you could cut the entire game save for that scene at the end and NOTHING would change.

I tried giving it a fair shake but I can't enjoy it.

1st mission was standard fare, kill a bunch of things and leave.
2nd mission I really didn't like though, the shooting balls mechanics really don't work properly at times, especially when it wants you to do a charge shot blast to launch it in the air.
Plus it does weird shit like tell you to pick up an object by pressing and holding the shoot button, then immediately displaying a cutscene of you holding the item. If you stop holding the button during this cutscene, when it ends you drop the item. I didn't notice that I'd dropped it and thought it was added to my inventory or something, and proceeded to the exit without the item.
There are also an annoying number of cutscenes to show you things and that guy constantly talking to you, it irked me.

Fair enough. I think you're argument is stupid in some regards, but A. You've played the game B. You aren't just calling it garbage C. You're giving reasons, so I can't be too mad at you

I mean yeah, partly at fault myself here, but I couldn't help but feel like they fucked up in introducing a "take something with you" mechanic with a cutscene that can make you drop the important thing.

Anyone else having trouble with c-stick down input on new 3DS? it's not too bad when playing monster hunter, but in Metroid it's really noticeable. Only after a few minutes of playing though. It starts just fine.

Yeah. It sucks I can't play Xenoblade or Binding of Isaac, but I do prefer the feel of the second pad and the grip that it gives.

As a new 3ds owner, let me assure you that binding of Isaac is almost unplayable on the awful c stick.

TriForce Heroes is great too. I don't know why people pretended as if it were awful. I think it has the best combat and boss fights in the series, honestly.

Been on a Metroid binge. I've beaten all the 2D games, including AM2R. I've also beaten Prime 1.
I want a game that isn't technically Metroid, but a lot like it, before I jump into Prime 2. What are some Metroidvanias that lean more towards Metroid rather than Castlevania? I already beat Axiom Verge.

I want to say that I can relate to that but I did that boss with the Bounty Hunter paint job which gives you missiles in packs of 10 rather than 5

It's true. If you think the resolution of a game determines whether it's good, you're an autist. It's a shit resolution, but it's still more than any of the 2D games that people love

The biggest problem are the respawning pirates and the tough as shit cloaked ones.

Here's what me and my team of 3 finally did after 20 minutes.

I can understand not liking Sm4sh because of preferring another game, but it isn't a bad game. Meleefags are the worst

Pretty much at moment anyways. Multiple rooms and you can refresh the list, however keep in mind that everyone has to prep (customize their mech, mods ect), but there's a count down that will automatically start the game with everyone in the room.

Are the paint mods random when unlocked?

That said, how in the fucking ass am I supposed to play Blast Ball? I feel like my shots do nothing unless charged, but if I stop to charge then I can actually watch the other team sending the ball flying with seemingly single, uncharted shots. I feel absolutely useless.
