Spore and Stellaris

Dead Space

Red Faction Armageddon but it was pretty terrible

>crackisng

u wot m8

>Spore
Setting aside all the other problems it had, terraforming in Spore was really good. You would fuck about with the temperature until it was a moderate earth-like temp. Then you would generate atmosphere. Then start sticking plants in the ground.
Put mountains and oceans wherever you want, too.

This actually makes me want to play spore again. Kill me.

SimEarth.

>Stellaris
Not really, you can change the planets climate along a wheel but you can't turn barren worlds into Earth-like worlds.

Sword of the Stars

haegemonia

UFO: Afterlight

Master of Orion. Just got into recently

Endless Space, when you get the technology to terramorph planets.

>earthlike is not the best
>the best production or whatever requires transforming a planet into the worst possible to live shithole

Lava may look good for production, at first, but jungle is probably best. Those extra units of population boost it up.

You should try Spore

Alpha Centauri.
It's not a bad strategy, terraforming the planet to ruin enemy agriculture.
But then there's always planet busters, which are faster and cooler.

None of these fucking games are '''about''' terraforming. They just have terraforming in them.

the fuck is this planet cracking meme

tech is not up to the job, so unless you want it to be ridiculously shit and pointless, give it up.

Me too. I literally have no drive in NMS since there's literally no goal you can set yourself.

Ludicrous that a ship meant to hold only a thousand people could mine an ENTIRE PLANET in "just a few years."

One stick of dynamite can do digging work, in a second, that would have taken a hundred men several days to do. It's no more ludicrous than any other tech.

Any Star Wars gane with a working Death Star

Blowing up rock with explosives isn't "mining," user. The purpose of that is to open up passage to GET to the ore, which has to be carefully extracted (not blown up), hauled off, processed, and then refined. It's a process that is more complicated than you think. But the Ishimura somehow does ALL of these steps (except refining, I believe) except to a whole fucking planet, crust, mantle, core and all. Do you know how much matter that is? Do you have any idea how much work that would require to separate the rock from the ore and then ship that off? Trillions of tons of rock, user. It's impossible to process all of that ore in a "few years" even if you had a dozen Ishimuras.

No but think of the untapped potential for a Terraforming game.

You are the commander of a Terraforming, fuckit i lost interest.
