Built a new computer, playing some PXCS2.
What are some hidden gems on the PS2?
Sup Forums's wiki is old as dirt and fairly short.

Yakuza games.
Don't have a PS3 so I'd miss out on the later ones or are those games moreso the journey, not the destination?

Sorry, you ruined your thread by asking for "hidden gems". No one knows what's 'hidden' or not so you'll end up with either bad popular games recommended by casuals or bad obscure games recommended by people who have played way more games than you.
Next time make a comprehensive list of the already established good games and ask for further suggestions.
Viewtiful Joe is pretty good but you need a controller
...
Who the fuck emulates without a controller? People don't actually do this, do they? Are they the same shitheads that play with a laptop?
I'm using a genuine one with an adaptor. Works perfect. Got a gamecube one for Dolphin as well but I wanna play some PS2 games atm.
no idea what you mean with "hidden"
so i will just post some of my best
Shadow of the Collosus
God of War 1 , 2
Final Fantasy X
Persona series
Thinking about playing Shadow Hearts 2 Covenant. Anyone know if I need to play the first SH and Koudelka first?
Global Defence Force
kill yourself
I'll help
Is it worth playing if I have 4 on PC? I'm open to simpler games.
Keep crying , fag.
What I have so far...
Nightmare of Druaga, Chaos Legion, The Sword of Etheria, Gladius, Mercenaries, Mark of Kri, Blood Will Tell, Radiata stories, Shadow of Rome, Metal Arms, Drakan, Shadow Hearts Covenant, Downhill Domination and Soul Nomad
I'd say so? It's incredibly similar to EDF 4, but a little rougher. Still, there's lots of stuff it does that EDF 4 didn't, with different types of enemies and robots and its always fun to see where a series came from
I hear God Hand is ok
>it's always fun to see where a series came from
Agreed. I'll check it out. Thanks.
Already played and loved it, but thanks.
Yes
These aren't hidden dumbass, they are mainstream casual shits
Damn, really? Is there really that much connectivity (that the word?) between the games? SH:C looks real good though so I'll do it.
Yeah characters and stuff
Preferred but not entirely required.
Koudelka even less but you can finish it in an evening or two.
Ok. I've been meaning to try that new PGXP plugin that fixes the PSX's warpy polygons anyway.
Downhill domination was fucking sick
I keep hearing how PCSX2 isn't as smooth as Dolphin.
Can a decent rig still run the best PS2 games at full speed or not?
OP if you got the urge here, i'd go for almost every JRPG in the PS2 library. Most of them are stellar gems that either haven't received much att.
A few others that i can remember are:
RE Outbreak (if you are up for the online, there's a Private server runnin')
Ace Combat series (not sure if it's iffy on PCSX2, but still God-Tier)
Burnout 3
Call Of Duty (this was my shit at the time. These were games that made FPS too good)
Rouge Galaxy (For that level-5 JRPG that feels like Star Wars.)
Timesplitters (God-tier Multiplayer and Great Campaign)
REZ
Spider-Man 2 (Fo' muh Open-world + Spidey)
The Suffering (Gory, Crazy and DINDU NUFFIN)
Zone of the Enders (MEHCASSSS)
There's a lot more that i could include but basically 70%-80% of the library is great for the gamin'.
Just get ready to start configuring the shit out of it since the emulator can be shitty sometimes.
Yes, you can even play on a toaster, but if the game has some heavy post processing effects you are fucked, because some of those games only run correctly with the software renderer.
I do, but JRPG's are so long. It sucks. Gonna do it anyway.
Playing some Dark Could 2 and Persona 3 atm.
Thanks for the recs.
Shinobi
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2
How does Baldur's Gate: DA 1 and 2 run on PCXS2? I heard it's broken.
>I heard it's broken.
Only in hardware mode.
Ok. My comp has been strong enough to run a couple games in software mode so i'll give it a shot. Played the first one back in the day and loved it but never finished it. Shame I have no one to coop with. I remember my history teacher in 8th grade actually got me to play it. He's like "I just found two flaming swords. I'M DUAL WIELDING FLAMING SWORDS". He was a good teacher.
has anyone ever got in legal trouble downloading from emuparadise?
Killer7
OP here. I recommend Romulation.
Call me a fag but I can't stand Suda51. Didn't like Killer is Dead or No More Heroes.
>Metal saga
>Graffiti kingdom
