You can download entire games to your console in the current year

>You can download entire games to your console in the current year
Why would you even buy a physical copy anymore? They take up the amount of space on the hard drive right? The only difference is that you have a physical copy, you have to get up and put in the disk that you want. Unless you can find it cheep somewhere, why would you not buy digital?

To resell and trade.
If you're a dick to rip off redbox

So you actually have a physical proof of copy, that still often also includes the whole game, that does not take space on your HDD.

Plus, physical libraries > bunch of bytes in cyberspace anyone can delete with a press of a button.

To resell and to let my friends borrow games.

To not have your games locked to an account and password

Physical is cheaper.

You can preorder a physical copy of Recore off amazon right now and if you have prime get it for $30 but the digital is $40

What kind of fucked up shit is that (I didnt buy it, I just know that deal exists. Game looks iffy as fuck)

Not all physical copies of the game have to download to the console, bloodborne didn't and dragon quest are examples

I buy all of my games physical for two reasons:
>the ability to sell them
>my shitty internet speed

Physical copies are always cheaper and digital always have the same price as when they where released. Save for the occasional sales or bundle.

because my internet is trash

Physical copies are way cheaper and you can to whatever you want with them. They're not bound to your account

I also just prefer physical

getting up and switching games isn't a problem

I can take them anywhere and play it on anyone's system. I can sell them for any price I want. I can refund. If my system breaks I'll still have them. I like the artwork and manuals. Im not lazy and dont mind switching disks.

I guess someone's never heard of Steam. Digital games do NOT always remain the same price and sales are plenty.

As someone with a 0.88 Mbps download speed, you are a lucky motherfucker and can go fuck yourself.

i haven't bought a physical copy of a game in almost 10 years.........

Because people are backwards and resistant to change.

>buying used
>buying to later resell
Might aswell just pirate it.

>but I want to show off my plastic boxes

Are you trying yo embarass yourself?

I've been full digital since the xbox 360 and it's a fucking blessing. I don't have to worry about cluttering my room with games and having to look for discs and keep switching them out when I want to play something else.

The no-sharing kinda sucks but my friends seldom borrow games anyway.

>those tiger hand helds
>loads of unimpressive tiny collections
>even my own pathetic dc collection of 100+ games shits on his

Wow, at least you can play mame games really awkwardly on that set up while breaking your back. Lel

Borrow and resell.

And I don't like the idea of everything being tied to an account that I could lose access to. Not to mention file sizes becoming bigger, which can make things inconvenient.

Don't you ever lend a friend a game?

>complaining about the internet mum and dad pays for you

>mum
kill yourself, you filthy Aussie fuck

>They take up the amount of space on the hard drive

This is fucking retarded, why the fuck is it like this?

>Unchartedâ„¢ 4 50GB
