Day one patches are fine within reason, if it's just minor bug fixes that the game can exist without and be played fine, it's okay by me. It's when games are broken to the point of unplayability and need a day one patch to make that kind of better when it's shit.

Advertising is all about exaggerations, outright lies will only ever hurt your next product.

The issue with EZA as a whole is these people are fanboys to the extreme at times, so they will do it for free for a lot of games.

I never expected either of them to change their minds, I got enough entertainment out of watching one person who hates a game playing it with someone who loves it. I'd like to see them do more. I'd also like more BPP-like shows, where one person who loves a game goes along with another person who has never played it before.

I miss Final Bosman being a more regular thing where he could talk about any kind of video game news or just talk about fucking anything like buttons. Now it's a bi-monthly thing where he can only really cover the biggest bombshell news that just gets touched by everyone else anyways so there's nothing special about what he's doing anymore.

I can't believe after all of that fucking arguing nobody even thought to bring up how annoying all that space patches taking up can be. One of the reasons I never want to buy games digitally is because I'm always concerned about every game needing a fatassed day 1 patch just to play taking up space. It's more of a paranoid worry, but still an annoyance all the same.

I also think about longevity of games before all else. Twenty years from now we can still play Super Metroid on a working SNES without any problems, as opposed to a lot of games on today's generation which will need a patch from a then dead service. Unless you're willing to shell out for the remasters they get for every single console release because of this bullshit.

A game should offer at minimum one hour of new content for every USD it costs. Multiplayer is not applicable to this limit.
