I'm guessing this will be like AoE2 HD. It makes sense because they're pushing both in korea, as in having pro leagues for SCBW and SC2 running concurrently.

competitive WC3 was never much of a thing, thanks to the excellent editor and easy to host custom mode.
It never came close to SCBW, even during its prime.

And just like AoEII HD, most of the players will stick with the OG version of the game.

I think that the Mass Recall mod already did it better than Blizzard will ever be able to.

Really, the main things I KNOW that Blizzard won't be able to do is
A) Have the same level of gore in the death animations and
B) Have anywhere near as good sound design as SC1

SC1's sound felt so dangerous and claustrophobic; it made such a perfect atmospere for the game. Remember how 'bassy' all the sounds were compared to SC2? That distinctive "THUD THUD THUD" of zerglings hitting? Everything had such a distinctive rhythm to it.
