I want to make games...

I want to make games, but every time I look at the most praised shit in the industry among gamers are movie shit or games with lots of story.

even great games like SFV gets shit on because of lack of story mode.

I just want to make cool arcade games, like the old 70-80 arcade games.

boo fucking hoo

make games anyway if it's what you actually want to do.

>Cool arcade games

No fuck off we already have enough nu male indie devs

They are one of the big reasons why video games are shit now.

Please don't make games.

So then fucking do it.

Sounds to me you're more worried about noone buying your game. Which means you're not interested in making games.
There are plenty of people out there that make game for free and those games tend to be very good

Just do it.
The last thing we need in the industry is more watered down cinematic experience trash, but expecting things that cater to the lowest common denominator not to succeed is stupid.

wtf is a nu male game?

I just want recognition, I'm not doing it for the money.

Then make your shit fucking games and upload them to newgrounds for recognitiond maybe the $100 from ad revenue... but knowing indie devs you will make some trash that would be terrible even for flash games and you will upload it to steam and shill it as hard as you can so you can charge $5 from retards on steam.

If you want to make games then do it but don't be a faggot about it.

I don't want money, I want recognition.
but is hard to compete with fucking teams that have hundreds of employees.

...

but it is funny you numale

>I want recognition
You're not entitled to an audience.

You're probably trolling, but if you aren't, just give up now and don't bother. You're getting into it for all the wrong reasons.

>reddit/facebook/tumblr memes are funny

kill yourself

>I don't want money
>but is hard to compete with fucking teams that have hundreds of employees.

choose one

Where can I find the list of approved 4chin meams?

Do you post rage faces too, fuccboi? lurk more.

Shit, I guess I'm not allowed to post those memes anymore. Curse you, image!

>i want to make games
You can't and you won't so stop shitposting. Got it?

I could device something like a new tetris, but most people wouldn't give a second though, they would be into what their friends think is cool.

how many people give a shit about ascii or text games?

how bout games with interesting gameplay but ugly art?

you're missing out the picture.
most indies want some artistic nu male sjw shit about trasgenderism.

Nobody will give a shit about a game using geometric shapes.

Then make cool Arcade shit.
If it's good, you'll get a modest following of people who utterly love it without compare. Many modern games appeal poorly to a wide audience, just enough to make them buy a game cause there's nothing else.

see It's always easy to identify plebbit posters because they're the ones that still post facebook memes.

my dream is to make something like cave story or mammotte knight.

even something like cave story is extremelly hard.

>how many people give a shit about ascii or text games?

Dwarf Fortress

>how bout games with interesting gameplay but ugly art?

Space Station 13, FTL

>you're missing out the picture.
>most indies want some artistic nu male sjw shit about trasgenderism.
>Nobody will give a shit about a game using geometric shapes.

begone foul troll

I'm not a troll, I just want some advice and motivation.

is not easy to spend so much effort just so people don't look at it.

That's life, kid.

is very hard to compete when people think the only acceptable thing are AAA shit or even 2D games that are at the level of AAA snes shit.

Fuck off, Redditor.
Shit up your own site.

Stop looking at big company games and look at the fucking indie market, shit like that can sell OP

protip: unlike all the french failed cinema directors with huge egos retards think, story don't actually sell games.
It's mostly the gameplay, marketing and how fast it delivers the fun.
Most consumers don't even actually play the game to its completion.
Its like 20% of the consumer base reaching the ending.

And SFV got shit on because it was basically a 60$ playable demo.
