Let's talk about Arc Sys fighters!
Is my main over here fraudulent? She seems to generate a lot more hate than I see warranted. I understand that gimmick characters have the tendency to really get people mad but that's all she is, I fucking one trick pony. I might be a bit biased since my main Guilty Gear friends has been a forever Axl main and that match up sucks for Jack-O.
So discuss GG/BB.

Inevitable disaster
Why can't we get along? The anime fightan scene is small enough without infighting.

Is this your first time on Sup Forums?
I've seen these threads; I choose my own end. So instead let's just discuss GG
It would be a good thing if they could, but there's always been alot of bad blood between BB and GG. Ever since BB started it got a ton of shit because people wanted GG back, and then when GG did come back, players got even more shit because they weren't playing GG.
Since people like to tell themselves older GG games weren't as cute in designs, BB basically represents the opposite to them. This becomes obvious at nearly any mention regarding BB, or new female characters who often get the complaints of being too weeb or whatever.
>Discussing either of these games on Sup Forums
Good luck.
> civil discussion of both games
You're asking for too much. What you need is an attention grabber, like bait. Like this young girl for example
Right.
Fuck yall WHEN'S ZAPPA
DLC or next game, he was featured way too heavily in Story Mode for them not to put him in.
OP here
It's just a shame people can't like both on their own merits. I've played a little bit, and bought most versions of GG from XX through ACR+ I always like the games design and mechanical depth even if I never quite "got it" fully.
I broke my teeth on BB:Calamity Trigger. I bought that game on NA release to play with my friend who was in to GG. It made me fall in love with fighting games as a genre. It was simple enough to learn real meaningful combos and it's basic meter use systems let you really jupm into the fun stuff at a relatively fast pace to most fighting games at the time.
Now with Revelator I see why people love GG it's depth is outstanding. Now that I'm competent at fighting games I can appreciate it's depth and the speed and hype that come with it. That's not to say I am not excited for Central Fiction. BB is still fun and more shallow systems allow me to have fun in a different way.
>you will never slather bridget's sissy uncut cock with baby oil and jerk him off while slamming into his prostate to overload him with pleasure
next game probably. I want ghost man back too.
Too bad.
Recently bought Revelator a few weeks ago and have started playing Jam and Raven. they're both a lot of fun and Jam's recent buffs certainly help out. I had been aware of the series for a while But SIGN was when I started to play it more regularly.
During CT and CS, BB was pretty shallow, but by CP it's gotten alot more complex and faster paced. CF seems to be even moreso with how heavily the addition of EA seems to impact the game, since GCO is used more frequently. While I still enjoy Revelator, it's slower in terms of gameplay speed and doesn't really feel as satisfying to me. Match length tends to be shorter on average though in my experience, but that's mainly because estplay is more heavy in general.
Losing to Raven always makes me feel like a scrub. My blockstrings have been heavily improving and I've been doing surprising well against mix ups from characters like Millia and I-No; but raven's dash attack options fuck me up constantly.
Raven can do some weird mix ups no one else can. I've wanted to play him for a long time since he's been a story teased character for years and was in Overture.
I'm going to pick up revelator as soon as it drops on PC. Pity that a lot of characters that I liked didn't survive the transition.
While CP is definitely faster than previous iterations I still find the game a bit slower than I want, especially being a heavy SFV player.
Although to counter balance that I main Tager so things can in fast.
don't die
Raven really just comes down to being Ky with a command grab and no DP. I actually probably have an easier time dealing with Raven's mixups than Ky since most Ravens are more predictable and quicker to react to in regards of what they're doing.
I want to become Jack-O!
Who /Wants to play fighters other than SFV but only has a PC/ here?
I really enjoy SFV, but having it as the only populated fighter feels bad
I picked up Ky since Bridget didn't make it into Xrd and read that he's a solid character with good poking tools and decent neutral game, which is what I excel at. He's alright to play as, but I think his f. S has spoiled me too much by being too good.
OP here, Ky is my secondary.
F.S is amazing and catches people on CH surprisingly well. My big problem, which constantly has me border on dropping him, is his piss poor damage. Too his credit he can do fantastic damage with YRC on Oki or RYC into supers for easy late game wins. The problem is I feel like I'm always just sitting in the neutral game with a few oki get ups till I can use meter.
He's fun but the the jack-of-all-trades style makes him a bit boring and not quite as satisfying as other, more specialized characters.
Her hip game is ridiculous
Whens BB vs GG?
I was talking about this with a friend the other day and I don't think a lot of BB characters could transition into a lot of GG's mechanics without being OP. So either the game would be lose a lot of the GG elements and upset GG or just be terribly unbalanced.
Yeah, that's what I gathered from the ky discord I'm in. I was also thinking of picking up Millia or Ram since I cleared both of their basic combo trials, but Ky has done me solid work so far without putting in as much work.
Sol know how to pick a good waifu.
>but Ky has done me solid work so far without putting in as much work.
And that is why I said bordering on dropping him. He is just really solid.
If you like Ky go Millia over Ramlethal. Millia has a VERY heavy oki game with shit like 236HS and 214P which will make it feel a lot more natural of a transition.
one last desperation bump
Is learning the drill unblockable setup with zato necessary? I'm doing quite well so far but never bothered to place the mine during HS, the timing is very unnatural for me.
what do you guys feel about arcsys fighters no longer having english dubs?
xrdr didn't have one and rumor is bbcf wont either.
Don't give a shit that GG doesn't have one, but it's pretty dumb to drop the dub for BB
Somewhat indifferent. Although I'll miss understanding what characters are saying when they are talking shit to each other in a fight.
Post favorite
>male GG character
>female GG character
>male BB character
>female BB character
In the long run it doesn't matter but for what is worth I think BB had a great dub.
It's a mixed bag, I like some of the characters in English, and others in Japanese. In an ideal world I'd love to toggle who speaks what language.
Slayer
Jack O
Hakumen
Rachel
No dub, no buy.
>In an ideal world I'd love to toggle who speaks what language.
That would be nice.
Dub died when Tony Oliver couldn't voice Bang anymore
can live without a dub but I'd be lying if i said i wouldn't miss Patrick Seitz's Ragna, him alone made the dub cast worth it for me.
you definitely want to learn them eventually since it's basically free damage
what setup are you trying to do? I usually do 6D (hold) into: 6HS, 5S (release D) 2D. This works on pretty much everyone (not May, Ram, Faust... maybe a few more, can;t remember, substitute 6HS with 2HS for them). The timing is pretty easy on it too. After that you can learn other setups from different kinds of hits.
> Bridget
> Jam
> Mai
> Mu-12
Buzzsaw, K S HS(2) ]D[ HS(3) 22HS. Moves enemy pretty far so I usually end up in corner.
Could you beat the game master?
What is Mai going to play like? Don't know anything about her.
It's great news and I can't believe so many people played with the dub. Now if they could stop pushing the PC releases so far back.
Which game is easier for a newcomer to fighting games? I was thinking about picking up the newest blazblue on steam
BB is a lot easier than gg
What episode was this?
He doesn't play it
Shikoku special
So I just fought a few sins with both my mains. is unbeatable on round start? I swear even with a just blocks on start I have window to stop his blockstrings.
have no window*
wtf do you do against sin!
Upset because I think the japanese voices suck dick compared to the english ones
I'm holding out hope for BBCF to have an english dub even though I know it's unlikely
Not anymore.
I find it hard to learn BB than it is to GG after Xrd. GG underwent a soft reset in terms of roster and mechanics, making it easier to get into and learn while BB just kept adding to Calamity Trigger. And here we are with a gorillion characters and counting and a pile of mechanics
1.) Burst
2.) Rapid Cancels
3.) Instant blocking
4.) Exceed Accels
5.) Overdrives
6.) Active Flow
7.) Tech rolling/recovery
On top of Option Selects and character specific gimmicks. I feel bad for anyone who wants to get into BB with or without fighting game experience.
You respect his pressure and block low. He only has 2 viable overhead options up close, which is raw dust which clues you in with the dust glow and j.D which he can do from his 2H, 5H, 6H, c.S and 5K usually, and he doesnt get much damage from it unless he spends meter since his meterless followups sometimes dont work if theyre not close enough.
Take a goodlook at his calorie meter. Bad Sins just chain specials into each other with no care at all. Most will attempt to do 2D or get away to eat. Punish them for this.
>but that's all she is, I fucking one trick pony.
Yeah but if the pony was fucking Kokuoh.
>tfw CF Relius looks legit as fuck
Mokemoke gives me hope

bump. Guess talking about fightin vidya that isn't SF/Smash/Tekken on Sup Forums is quite hard.
SAVE MEEEE
It sure is
Ehhh it's a shame since I loved ENG Ragna, Tager and Relius but everyone else did pretty mediocre job.
Used original voices anyway
