Xbox One (with additional controller) is $310 while PS4 (with additional controller) is $400.
I've never bought a console before but I'm getting one since I got my own apartment and want to be able to chill with my roommate and play games in the living room occasionally.
So which console has the best games? The best services?
Isaiah Gray
I'm primarily on PC but I bought a PS4 (mostly for Bloodborne). Don't regret purchase at all.
The only thing I don't like about the PS4 is that it locks you out of a lot of stuff if you don't have PSN pro or whatever.
Brody Williams
Have you played any other games on it? Do you think it's worth the $90 difference?
Jacob Nelson
PS plus it's called and to my knowledge it doesn't lock you out of anything except games you get monthly. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
Adrian Jackson
I have a ps4, but the xbone has some nice features that I would love to have on the ps4, like an external hdd. I do like my ps4, but honestly I don't know if I would spend the extra $90 on it.
Cooper Clark
dont buy 400$ ps4 are you retarted?
i bought for 170$ 2 months ago.
if you will up to pay that much wait for neo
Bentley Robinson
Where'd you get it for 170? Used? On amazon and shit it's 350 for a basic bundle
Gavin Russell
I"m selling a brand new ps4 on ebay for $330 op.
Very easy to find.
Jaxson Jones
Yes used from a local forum. You can easily pick up 200 to 250$ with games included.
Even now that both SLIM and NEO coming people will trying get rid off OG systems
Samuel Wilson
PS4 has "slightly" better graphics but XB1 has more features.
If you are a weeb or don't live in the states then get a PS4.
If you are more into big AAA games and you live in the U.S then get an XB1. It's much better supported than PS4 and it has more stable online.
Thomas Williams
It locks you out of certain missions on Destiny, which is BS.
Jayden Powell
The PS4 has a larger playerbase for any given multiplayer game due to larger sales. That being said, most of my 360 friends bought Ones when they came out. I myself am currently building a mid-tier PC to play with a few friends that went all-in for the 'best gaming experience'. Yes, I am a sheep, but am I a wise sheep?
Hunter Anderson
I'm a PC gamer for 10 years now only getting a console to play with my roommate. PC is objectively superior in every way but I need a console for the living room
Leo Brown
Online play, discounts, and some early or exclusive content, like the RE7 demo was. Some of the trials for games are available for PS+ only but at the same time alot of the best stuff with PS+ can end up being a PS3 or Vita only feature.
Ian Rivera
There are certain games that lock content if you aren't a member, and i'm talking actual game content, not just multiplayer
David Scott
Just want to interject with the obligatory "hurr durr PC can do living room splitscreen games as well" the latest releases for console have been excluding splitscreen lately, the ones that have it are often available on PC as well. Just buy a bunch of 360 controllers for cheap, or newer shit if you have the burgerbucks for it.
in any case it's there as a third option
Ryan Gutierrez
They both have jack shit for variety in exclusives.
XBL >>> PSPlus in every category.
The Xbox One controller is easily the single greatest vidya controller to have come out in recent memory. It completely shatters the DS4.
Both have horrid loading times for the actual OS and installing games.
Xbox One is cheaper.
Angel Collins
how much better is the elite controller compared to the basic xbox one controller?
Elijah Hill
PS4 unless you're a poorfag.
Luke Rodriguez
It's objectively a decent improvement, but not worth the $$$ premium unless you were planning to set the money on fire instead
Asher Cox
Depends on how much you like ridiculous customization. It has tons of extra programmable paddles and shit and even several different dpads.
It would definitely wouldn't be a bad purchase if you had the money lying around, but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it unless you were interested in the features.
Brody Ortiz
Xbox Live has had more downtime than PSN for the last two years now.
Wrong, only thing better are the analog sticks and battery life.
Again, wrong. PS4 is quick and installing games is a lot faster since you can play the game while the rest installs.
True. It's the poor man's choice.
Grayson Ward
>PS4 is quick There's hardly much difference between them
>since you can play the game while the rest installs. You can do that on Xbox One too
Adam Kelly
I-I'm not poor I promise
Nathan Flores
>ridiculous customization bitch please, this thing exists
Lincoln Martin
...
Mason Hernandez
still uses exactly the same joystick assembly and such, only improvement is changing the dpad slightly and some more buttons. plus, i'm not sure if the new xbone revision's changes will make it into the elite, stuff like bluetooth support and a few fixes for things that break in the original
William Bell
>PS4 is quick and installing games is a lot faster Bullshit, Unless you're talking about installing games from a disc, downloading games it a lot fucking longer thanks to how shitty the PS4's download speed is. >you can play the game while the rest installs. Xbone can do it too.
Jackson Ramirez
Fuck off shill. it was a failure
Julian Reyes
Xbox one is cheaper, you can easily find it for 100 used. Brand new its' 200 at best buy. 250 with 6 games. More people play online on PS4 Xbox controller uses AA's and can be played when batteries are dead by plugged it into any micro usb charger. This is both a plus and negative. I prefer it personally I bought an xbox because of price, Halo, Forza and Behemoth games. Xbox live gold is cheaper than PSN Plus as it regularly goes on sale so i took that into account as well. I'd look at the exclusives and pick the ones you prefer. Halo 5 has a ridiculous amoutn of multiplayer content and Halo MCC is literally 7 dollars for 6 full length games with tons of extras that run at 60fps. Forza 6 is hands down the best racing game on a console, and debatable the best racing game out. The PS4 has excellent games as well, but this is why I bought an Xbone.
Owen Baker
>only use is for games without controller support
Samuel Gray
one has exclusive video game software and is more powerful the other is weaker and all of it's games are on PC here is an image to give you your answer >Bullshit, Unless you're talking about installing games from a disc What the literal fuck else could he be talking about you dumb cunt?
Lucas Lewis
Also you get way better games with Games for Gold compared to PSN Plus, and you get more games. So that's pretty cool to, i'm not even gonna mention the controllers because that's personal preference. I will say there's plenty of free workaroudns to play with KBM on Xbox, and official support is coming to several games soon. It will also have emulators available through the windows store. And miracast support is really useful if you're into that thing. PS4 may support miracast, i'm just not sure. Also download speeds, usability, customization and install related crap is basically the same. Multiplats are pretty much equivalent as well.
Evan Howard
I've had the ps4 for about a month, here are my thoughts.
pros: >blu ray player included (i always wanted to see what blu ray looked like) >uncharted(pc equivalent is tomb raider, which is the weaker of the two imo) >vita ports (odin sphere) >I don't like bloodborne, just a faster paced Darksouls but different enough from it to be a blantant copy. If you are a souls fag then this game is for you. >Controller DS4 is really good imo for it's DPAD, which is miles better than 360's. Which shouldn't matter because you'll be comparing it to xbox one. >DS4 works on pc too with bluetooth >nioh if it turns out good
Cons: >One of the reasons I bought it was for weeb games, but many weeb games are coming to pc in 60fps that I can just pirate. >paying for online is complete bull when steam exists. >30 fps, no matter what anyone says, there is a massive difference and it just fucking sucks. >Exclusives are mostly ew. Infamous is boring third person shooter with a cliche story. IMO >Worthwhile indie games are on pc >cant play emulated games, no backwards compatibility, have to pay for psnow to rent games. >Ps4 exclusives I got the ps4 for and was looking forward to, announced themselves to be released on PC(Neir)
Just do not buy multiplats, get them on pc. 30fps is fucking embarrassing, and the graphics don't even make up for it. It's like an ugly girl having a shit personality. You have no reason to put up with her because her looks don't justify the way she treats you or how boring she is.
Kayden Stewart
I've heard the weaker argument, but first party multiplayer games usually run at 1080p 60fps. I've noticed this isn't the case with the PS4. You can play games while they download or install, it just depends on the game just as with the PS4. There's plenty of exclusives for either and multiplatform games have proven to be visually identical besides a handful of games. Also 360 backwards compatibility is really nice. And you can play certain 360 games with resolution, AF, AA enhancements on or off. Like Red Dead Redemption, or The Witcher.
Camden Baker
>All those weeb games It quality over quantity. The Xbone does have less exclusives, but they are a lot better than most of the shit the PS4 has.
Oliver Gray
Another vote for Xbox here. The exclusives are just a lot better. And it plays my anime in glorious 1080p 10bit color. The subtitle, container and codec support is really excellent though. I haven't found anything that doesn't play perfectly.
Brandon Russell
As someone that owns all modern platforms, between the two go for the Xbox One if you want something that offers the most for playing with mates on the couch. More AAA exclusives (inb4 muh indies argument), Growing list of Backwards Compatible 360 games, XBL has far less issues than PSN, future Microsoft published games being cross buy/save/play with PC, more big comfy couch co-op games available, arguably the best controller, all games and accessories being compatible with future Xbox consoles (eg: Scorpio) if you choose to upgrade anytime in the future, external HDD support for games are a few reasons off the top of my head. PS4 would be better for you if you're more into single player Japanese games otherwise the Xbox One is prob the better decision if you want to just play games on the couch either by yourself or with friends.
Tyler Ross
Xbox easily >better exclusives >BC >cheaper online play >more free games >better party chat >uno titties all night long
Henry Bell
>was idort >strapped for cash for a month >sold xbone instead of ps4 because I thought my PC would be getting everything through Win10 >so far Gears and Quantum Break are shit ports >BC was nice >GwG was nice too >no telling how future ports will be >things on PS4 "only" keep showing up on PC >less and less reasons to own a PS4 while I miss my xbone >wii u gets more play time than ps4
Only reason to keep ps4 now is for trade in credit on a Neo. I had a much better experience with my xbone and actually played its exclusives and had fun. I cannot say the same for any ps4 exclusive that isn't Bloodborne.
