I'm currently pretty bored with the game though. Have 6 jobs at 60, all crafters/gatherers at 60, everything I want from gold saucer, 140 TT cards, 300 rating race chocobo, rank 20 companion chocobo, among other things. I don't really care about savage/extreme raiding so really all that's left for me are long achievement grinds, filling out logs, or collecting glamours. Or leveling one of the classes I haven't finished yet.

PotD is a god send for quick levels and HW fates gave like half as much XP before. Consider yourself lucky. Think of all the poor souls who missed out on 2.0-2.55 quest experience when the game first came out.

Don't see what's the big deal about 1v1 PvP, it's not like it's going to massively save XIV's PvP or something.
I mean don't get me wrong, it'll be a fun diversion and sandbox to try shit out, but it's not like it'll be some major new aspect of the game they're going to balance around it or something (which would be impossible).
Can't wait to hear people complaining about MCHs instagibbing them or not being able to outmuscle a WAR. Some jobs are just better in these situations. How would that even work for healers too, isn't cleric stance disabled in PvP?

Hey I tried to get a Horde weapon.
Oh Lord did I try, but the farm parties 3 weeks in (after I finally got my clear; spent the first week grinding to i220, the next two in progression parties) were abysmal.
Got 2 tokens, then after 5 bunk parties in a row I just gave up.

Nothing is ever on schedule with this fucking dev team and I have no reason to believe they've evolved time-management skills now. Same as I have no reason to believe 4.0 will have a bigger budget, nor will it represent a significant departure from the stagnant and creatively bakrupt design of HW.
Trial or the actual game?
If the latter, register a Square Enix security token to your account (download an android VM or use your smartphone) to get a free teleport location in-game. Set your free Teleport to the city "Limsa Lominsa". The game demands you run back to a certain place constantly- teleport to limsa, use the local aethernet to move to the Arcanist Guild then take the adjacent ferry. Takes 20 seconds and will save you a shitload of money.
Aside from that, if you open the HUD editor you can use Ctrl+Home to resize elements, snap them to the grid by shift+dragging and move shit pixel-by-pixel with the numberpad keys 2468.

Stick with main story. You might have to do side quests or repeat dungeons to meet level requirements.
Do the training sidequests as soon as you can, gives you good starting gear and an exp bonus ring.
You might even learn some things so you won't be a complete shitter later on.

I hate the scumbags that whore out their codes, but for doing so we both get a headpiece that increases EXP gain by 20% below a certain level. If you follow 's advice and get the +30% EXP ring, join a Free Company (AKA a guild) for the 10% EXP buff they grant and eat food from a vendor (+3%, so stock up on Mineral Water from a Culinarian/Potwatch NPC) you're looking at something like +63% EXP gain.

And no, unfortunately we don't get the rewards until you've subscribed for at least a month but that only restricts you from getting the exp headpiece immediately. Everything else I've told you is currently relevant, and that aside it'll be about a months time before you'll really need that circlet (come the time when you need to start leveling alt classes for crossclass skills- ie. abilities unlocked by leveling one class that other classes can use, eg. Swiftcast from Thaumaturge at Lv26 which all other mages need).
