Genji really didnt't need to be nerfed as hard as he did. anybody who thought genji was op needs to neck themselves and/or learn how to play roadhog or mcree.

the ult nerf was fine and his burst removal was fine cause it's bullshit, but the mobility change wasn't needed.

the best way to make him easier to deal with at lower levels of play is to give him a bigger hitbox. any shitter can spam double jump and immediately become invincible to other shitters.

The problem is that the game has a bunch of training wheel shitter chars that don't require any fundamental FPS skills, and the skill chars that have an actual skill ceiling will always be "OP" in non-shitter hands until Blizz cripples them down to the mean.

Well, he was pretty OP for the average player (majority of players, that post here, lebbit and the official boards), even so the dragon blade stuff would have been enough. People would have eventually learned to deal with him.

Just buff every character. Nerfing only makes the game more boring.

Ult was reduced from 8 seconds to 6, but the thing is, the timer starts when you press Q, not when you finish drawing your blade, so you only have 4.5 seconds as opposed to 6.5 like you used to have. And again, the ult's 100% fine because he had/has clearcut hard counters in mcree and roadhog. Even if he deflects the flash or hook, he's still down 2 seconds of ult time for using it. Now that weakness is far more pronounced, only allowing genji to have 2.5 seconds of slashing time if you deflect.

I can get behind the animation cancel removal, but i felt that it was unneeded. it was essentially only 20 more damage unless you totally fucked up and got into melee range.

Your average player is fucking dogshit and should be ignored when it comes to balance changes. Lowering Genji's skillcap is the absolutely wrong way to nerf him. Give him numbers nerfs and more mechanics. Make it so your average retard can't play him optimally if you need to make him fine for low levels of play.

Your average players is what makes Blizzard money, so they're obviously going to cater to them.

I know, i just don't like phara, she feels bs because of her unmatched mobility, left click damage, and displacement abilities. I think she's balanced, but i don't like playing against or with her. as a support main, lots of them rage at me when i don't play mercy and pocket them exclusively, when I literally have no experience on mercy and have no desire to ever play her.

but m8 I was 67 and Genji was not even that bad. The ult nerf was good, but people way exaggerated about how powerful he was. Every team had a Lucio + Zen to counter his ult, and good McCrees were able to put a pretty good amount of pressure on hm.
