DAZED REELING ABOUT TO BREAK
One of the better game purchases I've made in the past few years. I'm really impressed with how useful and balanced all the classes are, even the garbo that is Antiquarian has a place in money runs.
So, what's everyone's favourite class? Mine would be Hellion as far as effectiveness goes - above average damage, speed, health and dodge, able to reliably hit position 1, 2 and 4 and that godly 1+2 stun helps her control the battlefield. Plus she has probably one of the best trinkets in the game: Heaven's Hairpin.
Second would probably be Grave Robber for that awesome speed and crits, plus mobility.
> favourite class
highwayman, both pre and post patch. Also the Occultist.
>Occultist crit heals
>0
>bleeding inflicted
still based
It's worth to put a cleansing crystal on him just for that reason, assuming no other trinket has to occupy one slot.
>your occultist trying his hardest, but the star spawn he is in pact with doesn't care
I miss 4 Crusader death trains in the ruins
I miss grapeshotting at 20 a crit
>Called your bluff, friend
I really like the comics they made for this game. I think the Arbalest one is particularly sad as fuck.
Can you still kill bosses in one shot with leper
I havent played since the corpse update
Do you still have to hire new adventurers every run in this game due to crits and stress relief costing too much? That was fucking garbage and breaks the mood completely for me
I'm playing NG+ and I end every expedition with 0 stress on all 4 heroes by camping only after completing the goal. You're doing something wrong, control the fight to minimise enemy activity. Grave Robber has a 20% chance to crit and instantly take out enemy stress dealer on the first round, Hellion/PD each can stun two enemies with a single round, Jester/Houndmaster/Crusader can start healing stress once you're down to 1-2 enemies and so on...
> favourite class
Man-At-Arms. Riposting is just too fun for me to choose anyone else.
I'm only at about 8 hours with this game so far but it's fantastic. It's extremely stressful at first, but once you start to get the hang of it and start to do decently in a tough fight it is the most satisfying fucking feeling.
it'd be a fucking fantastic game if they tamed down the
>LOLSORANDUMB DIFFIKULTY
dice rolling and shit.
>jester murderises entire enemy mob.
>gets hopeless from a torch going
Yeah, Riposte can have a significant impact on the fight if you're lucky. Also speed difference is tantamount to reducing losses, making sure you take turn before your enemies might mean they won't have a chance to strike you.
Do not kill Wilbur first if you value your life.
>favorite class
Highwayman as well
I still use Dismas
Slapped a Moon Ring and Dodgy Sheath on him. He now outspeeds, dodges and crits everything in 0 light.
How the FUCK did your Jester get over 100 stress? His job is to MANAGE stress.
>New Game+
>Game now has a time limit
>You get a game over if too many people die
DIsmas and Reynauld must survive, and not be seperated
It's my only rule
Did they come to burn their house because they are black?
Also, was there any new content? Haven't played the game since February and only heard about one new class and that base defense was delayed.
>dont lose a single adventurer or have to abandon in apprentice&veteran dungeons
>the first champion I embark upon I almost lose one and have to gtfo
>realize I'd have to grind an ungodly amount of gold to get the necessary upgrades for champion and even then I'd have to use cheesy meta comps
Meh
You can minimise randomness. You can finish the game without anyone dying excluding final boss shenanigans and even that can be circumvented.
The game has its rules but if you're prepared, you can take on anything.
>0 light
Not a big fan of that, desu. I feel like the extra loot is wasted away because I'm filling my backpack with gold/heirlooms when constantly running at 76+ light. The extra risks are not worth it and will make your team get unnecessary stress that you now have to treat.
The only worth out 0 light runs is a small chance to get Ancestor Trinkets from normal enemies and even then I'd rather fight Shamblers with fully equipped lvl 2 heroes.
>tfw my Dismas died at one point
>he was my highest Resolve Hero
>died to DoT due to boss shenanigans
directly after, a Town Event allowed me to revive him
New content when?
0 light isn't only good for treasure
it drastically increases your chances for crits, this also applies to enemies though. But you can exploit this by giving your party Crit chance Trinkets and Traits
>cheesy meta comps
Bullshit. I'm using a classic tank/dps/ranged dps/healer setup 99% of the time and I've breezed through NG Champion dungeons, currently on the way to start doing them in NG+, 35th Week. Pro tips, Hellion is fucking godlike, Vestal is a great healbot with Sacred Scroll and Junia's Head/Book of Healing. High speed/high crit heroes can open the fight by reducing the number of enemies by one, make use of that.
I've always had my first higher difficulty end up in a failure but it's not the end of the world if you cut your losses and get out.
>the first champion I embark upon I almost lose one and have to gtfo
You got them out in one piece and have a better understanding of the threat. All is well, you'll do better when you optimise with that knowledge in mind.
exactly my point. he didn't even have 100 stress, but for some reason everyone else getting a little stress forced him into a retard roll and he failed the test and went hopeless.
Eh, I play it so by turn 2 both stress dealers are dead and enemy frontline is stunned/has -DMG debuffs so I'm free to heal up/reduce stress a few times before finishing them off. Slow-but-steady has been incredibly effective for me.
Without the enemy accuracy boost, my team averages 30 DODGE (Vestal included), that's also great for neutralising enemy activity.
Afflicted allies sometimes cause your party members to get stress during their turn, in addition to other drawbacks. Still:
are you using the correct + dmg trinkets? You should. Are you sending heroes to correct places? I hope you pay attention to their phobias/hatred. Are you paying attention to SPEED? -SPD trinkets are deceptive, you absolutely mustn't allow your enemies to have an extra attack, don't let them be the first to start the round. Do you spread your attacks too thin? Capitalise on taking out targets one by one. Control your enemies with stuns/dmg and accuracy debuffs.
In the beginning of every combat taking out enemies fast is the ABSOLUTE PRIORITY in this game. Once you have 4 moves at your disposal for their 1-2 you can start to heal up or reduce stress. Just don't overdo it, there's punishment for taking too many turns without attacking/killing enemies.
Probably never, sadly.
>paranoid man at arms
>decides to hit a corpse
>crits
>OUTMANEUVERED!
>Many threads fall in the face of chaos but not this one, not today
>favourite class
Grave Robber. They can do anything and fit with practically any comp.
M@A is a close second, for utility as well.
the retard roll only happens if he gets to 100 stress, so you clearly fucked up you idiot
the jump to champion is hard as fuck
>manage to not lose anyone before darkest dungeon
>don't want to go in
>haven't played the game since spring
Fuck.
...
FASTER
Don't think I have a faster one right now
Have this instead
Do you think the plague doctor shaves her armpits?
Of course. How else you can think she can allow you to fuck her? I only can think of footjob otherwise.
It's not even that bad, assuming you don't go full retard.
houndmaster masterrace reporting in.
More like Dodgemaster..
>August 2016
>Still playing meme game
>Still pretending it was anything more than just another hype bullshit
>his dad sacrificed himself to save her
>bitch pussies out when trying to sacrifice herself to save the world
why couldn't the houndmaster sacrifice the dog instead?
Is it still a grindfeast? Can I have fun if I play it on easy?
