ZTD

What the fuck?
No seriously, what the fuck did I play?

The whole decision game was created so 9 people had the motivation to care about the future? Sure, you don't know who this religious fanatic is, but if you believe in the future hard enough nothing bad will happen?

Why the fuck does a game that wraps everything up end on a completely pointless cliffhanger? What would killing Delta solve? It's clear that he isn't gonna go through with the radical-6 idea because everything went according to keikaku apparently.

And the biggest thing that bugs me is Why the fuck are Eric and Mira even in this game? They can't even shift. Are they just in this game because Delta needed 2 more randos to get 9? Sure Mira is the killer in the story he tells but what does bringing her along ultimately do? Payback for Sean dying?

Also OP, did you make sure to read the extra materials like Sean fucking proposed adventure through time?

Where is the extra material?
Is it in the game?

Yeah in your files or whatever. I didn't notice they were there until people started mentioning random shit in the threads, you have to go into a segment to access them.

Thanks for the tip, I'll read them now.

OP again.
I just read all the post payoff files.

I'm so fucking done with this series, good lord.

Apparently the head guy (I forget his name) did the usual Q&A for ZTD and gave absolutely shit answers in return. I've been meaning to look for it.

reddit.com/r/ZeroEscape/comments/4r903l/spoilers_all_full_text_ztd_prequel_from_the_art/

Here's the prequel novel included with the dlc booklet, since you sound like you haven't read it either.

He didn't do a Q&A, but he answered some things on twitter. He basically confirmed things that people who expected the game to end like this believed, and said if anybody wasn't happy they can head-canon their own ending because of timelines

>different writers for each team
I didn't know. Now I understand everything.

Which one of you anons killed Mira!? I'll kill everyone on this website if you don't confess!

>dlc booklet
what?

Shit, responded to a post by accident.

free dlc booklet and ost if you bought it on steam before a specific date.

or you can just get them here: dropbox.com/sh/dklsazjq2ibgsug/AAC394e5-to-bUN1-FgAGJSsa?dl=0

There's no need to look so threatening.

well fuck them, I preordered it on steam and I didn't get shit. Thanks pham

This locked in a room meme concept is always shit in the end.
All it is is an interesting premise with nothing to back it up ever.
Look at danger rompus, its the same shit, some mysterious event that makes no sense whatsoever.

So how come there are points where Delta is in the same room as a team but none of them notice? I thought it was him using his mind hacc bullshit at first but then he says that it only only works for a couple seconds.

people know he is there, they just never talk about it because the audience isn't supposed to know

you have it and just don't know it

look at the steam comments that tell you how to get it because I've forgotten the instructions

That's fucking retarded. There is no way that none of them would even briefly mention him if they woke up in an escape room and Delta was just sitting there with them. Also he is apparently in the library while q team is there but while you are doing the puzzles he is no where to be seen.

He's acting blind dumb and deaf, no real reason to address him.

Delta isnt in the same room as C or D team, only Q team. That is why he explains his glasses. If you pay attention to Q team's dialogue and certain cutscenes, there are hints of Delta.

...

>what does bringing her along ultimately do?

There's a part in the game where someone talks about keeping a piranha in a tank of fish when transporting them. Having a killer amongst them triggers some survival instincts and makes it more likely they'll survive. Eric, I got no fucking clue.

It's still bullshit.
I could suspend my disbelief for sigma in vlr but I am able to look 360 degrees around the rooms in the escape rooms and don't see an old man. There's also parts in the vn bits where you should be able to see him as the camera angle changes.

Anyone got links to the files that unlock after the end of the game? I already uninstalled it and didn't realise they unlocked.

>I am able to look 360 degrees around the rooms in the escape rooms and don't see an old man.
you also don't see any other characters

True, which is why I also mentioned that it should also be possible to see him in other scenes because the camera shows you whole rooms in some of them.

It doesn't.

I checked after finding out about the twist. There's definitely angles on scenes that cannot obscure delta's position based on the position of his shadow it positions in which you can't see him in some scenes.

Delta rolls himself around, user. He's deaf and blind but he can move his arms.

Why can't I hear him rolling? Is he some sort of stealth bomber? Where's he going it he can't see? Why doesn't he talk if he's just deaf and blind?

>Why can't I hear him rolling?
nigga wheelchairs don't make a noise

Yes they do, they make wheel noises. If they're electric then they make electric noises too.

"wheel noises" are silent you dumbass

You have bad ears my man if you've never heard wheel noises. His arms would be making arm noises too.

So how come zero gave mira free reign to go out and kill the others? Or was she just sensible and put something in the way of the injectors like they all decide to do at the end?

Watched the trailer again

What song plays after the Lounge song?

Also, how do they explain showing Sean next to Q's name?

>Infinite possibilities of universes to jump to
>But we must only jump to the specific ones where we're locked up in this game

Intentionally making you think Sean is Q so the twist works. It's funny how Eric starts calling him Sean as soon as you go down a branch where you have to know that he's called Sean as well.

I loved that mini twist because I didn't know Delta was Q yet.

They need to know for a fact that universe exists, which is the whole point of the decision game and of the AB game in VLR. They are forcing people to make choices so they know for a fact that a different universe where they made the other choice exists.

Fair point. It still went full retard in ztd whereas in vlr they couldn't control it properly.

Are you legitimately retarded?

The game doesn't end on a cliffhanger at all. You don't have to follow every character to their death to feel as if everything is wrapped up. It's a shit ending sure, but knowing that they're going to search for the fanatic to stop his plans is pretty much wrapping things up. It's not like in VLR where you're told of the cause of R6 and how it's related to Zero.

Mira was the piranha in the koi tank and I don't see how you missed that clear comparison. Eric was brought along because Zero know Eric would just kill himself if he hasn't seen Mira in the past 48 hours.

Yeah, I'm sure the deaf and blind man will be able to competently roll himself around and not run into walls 24/7
Have you ever actually used a wheelchair? You can hear the wheels rolling depending on the surface you're on.

The search for the fanatic is quite a cliffhanger. We don't know if they ever find him or if the whole world gets destroyed.
Also, what are free the soul up to now? They seemed pretty evil in vlr. Surely they'll be up to bad stuff again.

yeah I wasn't defending the writing in ztd, I just explained how it worked

NON
CANON
META
FICTION

Yeah, it was a good explanation. Thanks.

How is it a cliffhanger? It doesn't imply that there's more nonary/decision game shenanigans or anything like that. You don't have to know every detail of every obstacle they aim to overcome. That's like saying the Harry Potter books ended on a cliffhanger since they introduced his son and now we HAVE to know everything his son does in Hogwarts and everything Harry does as an adult.

FtS are likely up to nothing. If Delta is as much of a mastermind as he thinks he is, then he probably played whatever roll he needed to ensure the AB game happened to ensure that his Dcom shit happened to ensure his birth. The bigger issue wouldn't be what they're up to now, but why FtS seemed completely different in VLR than it does in ZTD. That's because Uchi is a huge faggot that butchered the plot so he wouldn't get bored writing it.

The difference is that in ztd a new conflict arose which is yet to be resolved. All conflict in hpo was resolved and we have no reason to think Harry's kids have anything interesting going on other than school (enter the cursed child).
Since we've only just found out who our true enemy is, you could interpret the story as having only just started.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree.

Yeah. At least we can agree that the game and its ending were disappointing regardless of whether it requires a follow up.

twitter.com/uchikoshi_eng/status/768040210932174848

HE'S DONE IT AGAIN

>I want to eat pikachu

Yeah but what the fuck are they suppose to do about our true enemy, the snail?

But 999 and VLR were excellent games with worthwhile payoffs

In the post end files mira faxes herself back in time to stop the snail.

>Maybe

I'm glad someone finally agrees with me on this because I've said the same thing in previous threads. ZTD was about Brother and Radical-6, not the terrorist.
