I was looking at my Samus amiibo yesterday after playing fed force. It sucks, the armor is sleek as hell and way to feminine. I love the older design because she looked like a power house and her games helped support that.
The amiibo stance looks like samus is walking kn a fucking balancing beam whereas the old stance from Brawl has her pointing her gun at you in a wide power stance.
I dunno, i just think they don't quite understand what makes Samus cool in general.

No not at all. Remember the developers who made Prime are different than the mainline games so since this is a Prime game they go with the design that was used in Prime 2 and 3.

Ignoring the travesty that was Other M, the design was a downgrade. It looked a bit better in Smash 4 but it still wasn't as good as 2/Super or the Prime designs.

There's actually a few smaller changes like the lines on the helmet and the suit covering more of her hips, but yeah, the shoulder fins and the arm cannon are the two major ones.
