No Lee.

Because interactive novels about zombies isn't *ahydrk* novel anymore.

I miss Lee...

it was never good
You liked Season 1 because it was something new
try replaying it - it's the same shit

Yeah sure but plenty of other things too

What I noticed from episode 1:

Terrible melodrama over omar unlike in s1 where characters would be shot in the head suprisingly
Graphics didn't improve at all, if anything they look worse with lines that are too thick and maybe a downgrade for tablets?
Flat boring characters, the 400 days characters were better

Got spoiled on kenny surviving, that's an asspull of epic proportions

The ending to season one was really a great ending

But not having Lee as the main protagonist in S2 really blows. He was a great character.

Why the fuck is Clem more competent than every adult around her "little 12 year old girl! We NEED you to go turn off that wind turbine! None of us can figure it you you're the only one who can do it!"

Funny you say that because I believe s2 changes the writing credit to an "interactive story" credit

Finished it this morning and immediately transitioned to s2, it feels worse

this, basically

It's like they didn't plan on a second season during the first

I cried at the season 1 ending.

Fight me.

Different writers in a game where only the story matters.

Although the fucks who wrote it went on to make Firewatch so who the hell knows. They probably just got lucky that they were doing a subject people like that hadn't been done in video games before. It's basically The Road the game.

Cringe is a stupid word. I prefer fremdschamen but it isn't english

You have been fought ;)

That's right, I noticed the idle thumbs crew weren't in the s2 credits aside from nick cucken

Firewatch is good but they actually had to try to make a game instead of reusing telltale boilerplate, it's like they couldn't finish it and it ends really abruptly

>Firewatch is good
As someone who likes narrative heavy games and walking simulators, no it wasn't. It was short and boring and lacked any point. All the characters are unlikeable and they set up a mystery that doesn't even exist.

You didn't like it at all at any point?

I'm fine with short. The point was just showing how people craft conspiracies out of nothing in isolation. I liked delilah why no see

Did you really expect it to turn out the dharma initiative was really doing all these crazy things in the woods?

>Why the fuck is Clem more competent than every adult around her "little 12 year old girl! We NEED you to go turn off that wind turbine! None of us can figure it you you're the only one who can do it!"

that always broke the tension for me, it was so ridiculous i couldn't help but laugh.

and then when clem's face was animated to show annoyance, i just started to slowly lose it when a plan was being formed because it's basically

>rameriz's daughter! handle it!

dat ending though

-No Lee.
-No goal.
-Everyone's a dick.

I'm glad it was a free ps+ game so I didn't spend any money on this

>You didn't like it at all at any point?
Nope
>I'm fine with short.
So am I but this didn't just feel short it felt unfinished, you even said so yourself.
> The point was just showing how people craft conspiracies out of nothing in isolation.
Problem is that's boring and not only is it boring it misleads you.

>Did you really expect it to turn out the dharma initiative was really doing all these crazy things in the woods?
I didn't know what you expect but that would have been far more interesting. Anything would have been far more interesting than what happened. A game where you're a normal firewatch guy and nothing weird happens would have been better. The problem with the game is it gives the impression that weird things are happening then just abruptly ends and goes "Nope, they weren't. Isn't that clever" No it's not. It's been done a million times. That's like "It was all a dream" tier. It's like a 90s sitcom where every problem was the result of a big misunderstanding. It's just frustrating, not clever.

KENNY WAS RIGHT

JANEFAGS ARE NU-MALES

>>rameriz's daughter! handle it!
What

>felt unfinished, you even said so yourself
Yeah

>It's been done a million times
What games?

>Killed based Larry
>Right

Do you guys want closure with Lilly, Christa, Molly and those assholes you ditch you near the end of season 2?

>rameriz's daughter! handle it!
>What

i'm guessing you never played mw2.

anyway, the point im trying to make is that the devs were ridiculous to put so much responsibility on clem simply because she was the player character. it wasn't necessary for her to do even half the shit she had to that the adults could have done, but the devs decided the player would get bored or something for not being the spotlight doing the action.

yeah, it would be great.

i really didn't like that kenny came back.

Lily was supposed to be comic lily

I want based nate back

Oh now I get it

Because making Clem the protagonist was shoddy fanservice to guarantee more sales. However, in reality, she makes a very poor protagonist who is far less engaging and relatable than a mostly average middle class man. Not to mention that giving you direct control of the character basically meant that the stress of ensuring that Clem could handle life by herself (a key part of season one) was entirely pointless because you directly control what Clem does and says after she leaves Lee.

Lee was a likeable main character, we could sympathize with where he was coming from and dealing with. Clem wasn't really given a personality besides child character we need to protect.

She then continues to be bland in the following season except where she's the main character.
S2 was even worse with side characters doing literally nothing. Like we can decide on who to save, and then the character proceeds to do nothing for 3 episodes and then dies without doing anything.
Not to mention all the characters acting like retards worse than S1, the typical cliches. Then the main 'villain' of S2 was supposed to be Kenny? The one guy who while having PTSD attacks was STILL more rational than most of the group. The alternative is that Jane is the villain, but she was just a complete dumbass who caused conflict for everyone.

I mean how could anyone agree with Jane. She left a baby out in a random FROZEN car in the middle of winter with only a single blanket and a swarm of walkers.

I would rather be stuck with Jane than Kenny, but she was a fucking retard at the end.

>Clem, we know that Kenny is on edge and will probably snap at the slightest provocation
>So let me prove it to you again!

I am glad Kenny killed her dumb ass

>CLEM HELP ME
>THE PATRIARCHY

he was right, but i still killed him, so he can meet his family and his suffering can end

>Clem, we know that Kenny is on edge and will probably snap at the slightest provocation
>So let me prove it to you again!

let's be perfectly frank: kenny should've died a long time ago, he's Had a Hard Life, and he takes his anger and frustration out on the those closest to him. that's not to say he's a bad person, he gets too emotional.

i could say a lot more about him, but that kind of behavior is simply unacceptable.

honestly if i were jane i would've just put a bullet in him, it's just a mercy killing at this point.

I know what she did at the end of season 2 was fucking stupid, but I'd still rather be with Jane than Kenny. Kenny was fucking insufferable all of season 2 and was constantly threatening everyone.

>that's an asspull of epic proportions
I'd give then Kenny since his death was ambiguous in S1
