Just saw a gif of the dude in the last thread doing like 100 damage per hit of those fuckers, and they swing super fast. I just finished everything and I do about 280 a hit with my regular kat. Gotta try them out, mang.

No, they update I think around 10PM eastern, so seven and a half more hours at least.
They do a lot of damage and are quick, but have no real range or defensive abilities. I think they fit in nicely with the other weapons.

It's a fucking free demo, download it and see for yourself.
Once you start up the game it starts downloading shit internally and you can't do any new shit, and for as far as I found you can't see how fast you're downloading or how much it is downloading, it just says "downloading: XX" where XX is the percentage of it done.
It took twice as long in game than before that.
I still had the alpha installed and it found those files so I could actually replay the first missions during that

It's hard to tell at this point. It has an interesting premise but we don't know enough about it to make any real assessment of the overall quality.

Once you understand the mechanics and get used to how things work, it's really good, better than I thought it would be.

If you go in and just try to play it like a Souls game, you're going to get frustrated and die alot and won't have any fun.

Cant say much about story, gameplay is great. Its different from souls like borne is, but even more so. You can clearly see the similiraties, but its even more different then borne is, feels like combination of the 2 with something new mixed in. Not in some superficial way either like lord of fallen was with shittier executions and twists, the combat feels fundamentally different. Weapons categories feel very different, even more so then in souls. Its difficult but so far not in a stupid frustrating way, it just punishes being greedy with attacks and generally thoughtlessness. Id say its harder then ds3 which is a good thing. The lore and locations feel very atmospheric and well done. I personally thought of act 1 in diablo 2 while playing the first mission. Omnipresent fire, corpses of villagers, mindlessly cruel bandits, some demons and undead here and there. Very dark too. This is a good thing if that wasnt clear. When you loot corpses that were dead upon finding, like static objects, and you loot them a small narrative plays, usually of the thoughts going through the head of the now dead innocent. Its a very nice touch that adds to the rather heavy atmosphere of walking through the carnage and slaughter of defensless innocents.
