Just bought Mount & Blade: Warband on the steam sale. Any tips for doing well the quickest?
it's a sandbox game, just fucking play it
Loot Sea Raiders.
Win.
>Hire peasants
>Kill people
>Repeat until you own everything
That's what it's all about
Oh... and hire a couple of Heroe Characters in the Taverns to help you out, specially the ones that have training and medical skills
Join tournaments, then buy land and make enterprises in all cities, 10k+ gold per week easy peasy, then join a faction and start reking shit.
Acquire Viking
Acquire Rhodok
Conquer
Simple as that
Hire enough recruits to protect yourself from being stomped on early, then stop. Stay away from mercenaries for now and don't amass a huge army. Maybe 50 troops but you could get away with less. Sell loot that isn't fresh food or weapons and armor upgrades for yourself and any companions you pick up. Don't become a vassal to anyone yet, because that creates enemies for you and limits your options economically. Just fight raiders, deserters and the like.
Trade. Develop your trade skills, buy what is cheap in city a and sell it where it's valued highly in city b. Amass a fortune so you can start producing goods in cities and jew it up.
Eventually you'll have a strong enough income to support paying for the food and salary of a worthwhile army, and you can join any kingdom and start fighting important battles.
This. You get the best loot when the troop ratio is the highest and your equipment significantly worse than the enemy.
Any recommended mods? Also are there mods to make hot chick companions? I'd like to raid with waifu's.
1. git gud
2. compete in tourneys for lodsa emone
3. spend xps on trainer skill
4. recruit in swadia
5. conquer planet with invincible knight army
Diplomacy mod, it is a must if you make your own kingdom.
focus on training your character first through arenas then win a fuck ton of tournaments and use your winnings to hire a metric ton of peasants
Floris Expanded is the only mod you'll ever need.
Prophesy of Pendor is a total overhaul with a great homemade feel to it.
Clash of Kings is a solid Game of Thrones mod.

Thanks, will check them out.
Having heroes who dont like each other causes a bunch of problems, normally they are either lords or not, with lords liking each other and peasant scum liking each other.
If you want to be extra lazy just hire; Alayen, Baheshtur, Firentis, Rolf, Lezalit, Matheld, Borcha and Artimenner.
These guys also cover all the party skills like training (very important), engineering, medical ect. NEVER invest in a party skill. Only things that are specific to you or 'personal' which means only your stat matters (i.e. persuasion)
Is it worth taking Artimenner instead of Jeremus?
