Witcher 3 isn't total trash like Skyrim so going unmodded is perfectly fine.

In the vanilla version NPCs don't have scabbards, this is just a pure immersion mod, all the other mods that are good are mostly lore-mods so mostly re-textures of certain characters to be lore-accurate like Ciri's hair, Geralt's albino look, etc.
FriendlyHUD is good, but it does fuck up the parts with Ciri.

Lower your expectations, user, as the gameplay is mediocre and the story is a slow-burner as it is a European RPG, so be patient as fuck, because when the story does kick off, it fucking kicks off hard.
