Rural areas are barren and often lack both Pokemon and Pokestops, forcing players to either cheat and spoof their locatuon or purchase items.
Pokemon are generated with random moves and cannot be taught new ones, so getting your ideal moveset is unlikely.
Whole thing is going to collapse before the accessory even hits store shelves.

You can't find the Pokemon you want, you just randomly wander and hope to stumble onto it because no tracking. Gyms are shit and unbalanced. No point is raising Pokemon because no battles, so it seems like a waste of time. Evolution tied to candies, so if you do catch something rare, you may never be able to evolve or power it up.

I loved the idea and I wish it was better than it was. I had fun walking around catching mons with pokevision, but now it's just unplayable, and I honestly kind of doubt it ever had long-term appeal.

This game is dying and will be ded within 6 months.

-Launched in an alpha state full of bugs, severe server instability, and missing core features the series is known for.
-No features like daily log-in bonuses to encourage logging on like so many other mobile games have
-Do nothing about actual cheaters for well over a month while simultaneously shutting down third-party sites that only aided legit players in finding Pokemon the app should have helped them find to begin with
-Gyms feel completely pointless to do
-And when you do fight in Gyms the battles feel shallow and completely unlike Pokemon
-Severely fucked with catch rates and flee rates to get you to buy more balls

How quickly this game fizzled out is astonishing. Nintendo and Niantic could have conquered the world had they just launched this game in a more ready state and actually supported it better.

This too. They actually made the game much harder for people who played legitimately and did nothing to stop cheaters. Legit players can't compete. Fucks gyms, too, because half of them are held by cheaters with Pokemon legit players can't possibly match.

Once the novelty wears off, you realize that this game isn't very fun. It's basically a collectathon without any of the fun. Only thing that makes it worth anything is the social aspect, and I imagine that is a lot more fun in densely populated areas.

You can literally kill any gym by attacking it with Pokemon that have even half the CP of the defending Pokemon. It was literally impossible to hold a gym for more than half an hour or so in highly populated areas regardless of how strong a Pokemon you put up.

Of course that's probably changed now that everyone's stopped playing.
