>you have to fight the same enemys every time you die to a boss which makes semi-difficult bosses seem extremely difficult >you have to mine for bloodvials constantly which makes the game 10 times more monotonous >bosses moves are poorly telegraphed and they aren't helped by the supremely shitty camera
Is this the most overrated game of all time? How many of you guys even finished this garbage?
Luis Edwards
It sounds like youre just shit.
Luke Cruz
all of those problems in the OP can be solved by getting good
Christian Myers
>i suck at the game >i suck at the game >did i mention that i suck at the game? seriously git gud you fucking casual, platinumed the game more than a year ago
Isaac Morales
holy shit how is someone this terrible?
Adrian Nguyen
git gud
Levi Evans
Thats the point. Its all artificial difficulty. The bosses would br really easy if they were just fair. They sould make a mode that makes the bosses more fair by giving unlimited bloodvials and bullets and also make you spawn right next to the boss after each death. THEN I'LL SHOW YOU WHO NEEDS TO GIT GOOD
Logan Torres
If you bothered to explore then you will find shortcuts to the boss area.
Caleb Brown
The bosses are really easy. Youre just extremely bad at the game.
William Smith
You guys are bad at spotting b8.
Samuel Perry
I was exactly like OP when I first started so you never know.
John Turner
So explain this to me oh great sir who is so good at the video games, how do i beat the fuzzy boss who does the hulk smash prayer thing and has the claws?
Thomas Nguyen
M8 git gud
Gabriel Richardson
All the bosses are extremely close to bonfires once you actually explore the level and open up shortcuts. Also all the boss attacks are broadcasted beforehand, you just need to learn the boss movesets. Running out of bloodvials is really only a problem when you're just learning the game and don't know how to play. Once you figure it out and are more careful you won't run out of bloodvials. If you are worried about running out of those you can always use the blood echoes you get to buy extra vials for storage.
Jacob Rodriguez
I mean this is pretty transparent. OP post, maybe not.
Grayson Brooks
Honestly though, the Chalice Dungeons were some of the laziest "prepare to die" tier of just plain shit I've ever seen in a game before
Henry White
That was the first boss I one shot
I don't even know what to tell you. Dodge attacks Remember to attack yourself If you get hit, heal
Nolan Hernandez
...
Nathan King
...
Robert Williams
You'll wanna save up a lot of blood echoes at some point and spend them all on vials and bullets so no farming is required later on. Common sense, OP.
Jason Roberts
OP where are you? For blood vials what I'd recommend is doing a run through the forbidden woods. All the way from the start at the bridge until you get to the shortcut that will return you there. Doing so will get you a few blood vials and you'll be able to spend the echoes on blood vials in the dream. That's what I would do any time I was running low and I never had issues again.
As for the other two, you really just need to improve. If you're having to fight the enemies every time then it should become a non-issue as you'll know exactly how to fight or even skip them. The boss' moves are telegraphed pretty well. Unless you have terrible reaction times or the inability to focus on the boss while controlling your character you shouldn't have much issue after 2-3 fights with the boss (assuming you don't die right away)
Mainly just stop getting so frustrated. You'll just blame the game for every little thing and then refuse to improve because it's the game's fault, not yours.
Robert Johnson
>It's pretty easy to run past the enemies to the boss if you've explored enough to open all the shortcuts >If you're not shit you should be getting a net gain of phials as you explorer in drops and loot. >Yeah the camera is ass, especially on the bigger bosses. But most telegraphs are a mix of sound and movement, you just need to pay more attention.
Cooper Brooks
Just don't be greedy, Vicar Amelia is actually pretty easy if you take your time. Also throw numbing mist on her when she tries to heal to prevent her from healing. Other than that it's a pretty straightforward boss.
Hudson King
The regular game is top tier. The chalice dungeons are shit, design wise at least. Visually they're really interesting and nice to look at, and some of the unique bosses in them are fun. I really do wish they had incorporated them into the game better though rather than making them feel like they were rushed on half the game and just threw it in randomly generated dungeons.
yeah yeah bait
Charles Jones
>you're not shit at video games so fighting an enemy again is easier >you never have to grind for vials >you can dodge attacks
James Johnson
Don't you love it? I know I do.
Michael Morris
I know this is a bait post, but you can defeat every single enemy in this game without taking damage if you have good timing.
Liam Taylor
Do you mean cleric beast or vicar amelia? Have you considered dodging?
Charles Nguyen
bait
William Bailey
Chalice dungeons would be alright if they didn't require materials to run them. Fuck farming that ritual blood (4)

>supremely shitty camera Why do people keep saying this. I've had no trouble with manipulating the camera in any souls game, is this a meme? >mining for bloodvials you wouldn't need to *grind* for bloodvials if you stopped getting hit like a little faggot >fight the same enemies* then you shouldn't have a problem dealing with them the second time, if you could get past them the first time.
Hunter Moore
Ok guys im comming clean. OP here ive been stuck on vicar amelia for literally a whole day and ive been actually considering suicide because ive made no progress after two days straight of playing THE SAME BOSS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Im literally crying right now just typing this out. Holy shit i think im gonna do it. End it all. No, there's still hope. Even if i have to keep shoving ramen in my mouth until i gain god-tier gaming powers I WILL PROVAIL! I DONT CARE IF THE LANDLORD IS POUNDING ON THE DOOR ASKING FOR RENT! FUCK OFF! MAYBE ILL THROW MIST BOMBS AND DODGE YOUR ATTACKS UNTIL YOU'RE PRAISING MY BALLS LIKE THE SUN YOU LITTLE BITCH

I'll give you some tips for Vicar Amelia: 1. Dodge into her attacks 2. Slap her legs 3. Break her fucking head 4. Visceral to Death 5. Repeat
Joseph Roberts
Stick close to her(preferably behind) and swing like hell.
Ethan Lewis
I'm confident you haven't done all the content you can up to her yet. Do that, level, and do some chalice dungeons too. Then come back to her
David Moore
How did u manage to live your life until present day ? Are u fucking retarded ? I know 13 yo kids who can first try vicar amelia. Please just do it, kill yourself and leave your existence. Fucking normies
Justin Moore
What is a chalice dungeon?
Brody Carter
>grind for 5 minutes >buy over 200 blood vials and never worry about it again Get fucking good
Owen Hill
google it dude
Owen Murphy
GOOD LORD
Are u 8 yo ? FUCKING NORMIES
Carson Gutierrez
Not to defend the "artificial difficulty" guys, but at the beginning of DaS1 after beating the first boss there's a bridge where a dragon comes out of nowhere and burns you, and there no way to know that's gonna happen the first time you're there. That one IS trial-and-error.
Michael Smith
so i just bought dark souls 3 blindly. never watched anything about the game, and i beat every other game including bloodborne. this game feels harder and longer. i am dying a lot more and i still havent found the second bonfire in this high wall place
Lucas Price
>want to fight Orphan of Kos again >remember that I'm on NG+3 >remember those huge whale fish giants at the bottom of the well and around the village
Guess I'm not fighting OoK
Christopher Sanchez
You're the fucking normie! Do you know how good you have it? Every time i try to "git good" my stupid girlfriend comes around and asks to suck my dick over and over again! Like wtf cant you see im trying to become the best fucking hunter? Well i can't if i keep blowing my load at the critical moments of the fight. You normies have it so good just getting to practice without interuption all the time
Gabriel Cook
I still think it's a great game, but it has a lot of flaws.
>lack of item variety >items go up in price way too fast and way too high. Killing a boss midgame gives you enough blood echoes for a measly 2 (TWO) sedatives >can't activate lamps as a checkpoint or use it to respawn enemies >have to fast travel twice instead of just being able to fast travel directly from lamp to lamp >a lot of shortcuts still require 2-3+ minutes of continuous sprinting to get to the boss >some cheap and just overall annoying mechanics (frenzy ohkoes you unless you have 30+ vit and full health, and even with tons of frenzy res, you have to spam sedatives) >a lot of bosses are just too weak and underwhelming >sometimes killing a boss (amelia, BSB, etc.) arbitrarily opens a door halfway across the world with absolutely no indication that a pathway was opened at all, let alone where >no shields and a complete lack of armor and weapon variety >multiple enemies are reused multiple times with just higher HP pools. Overall lack of enemy variety as well >chromatic aberration >lack of environmental variety. Way too many dark, dank, gothic labyrinths >PvP is practically nonexistent >chalice dungeons are repetitive and uninspired
Overall: DeS > DkS3 > SotFS > BB > DkS
Gabriel Flores
Fighting those two dudes to get the Rakuyo is harder than Kos.
Levi Peterson
11 yo spotted. Guess im going to sleep. Rip in pieces u lil piece of shit, casual fuck. GG EZ

yes not a flaw uh, yes you can you fucking retard? are you retarded? no git gud not a flaw they are difficult and you are garbage thats not a flaw. is this your first game? they could have added more armor, but no shields is not a flaw. clothing variety is great and so are weapons with the DLC. each weapon is more unique than anything in dark souls combined not a flaw. there is a decent amount of enemies what the fuck are you talking about not a flaw. i like the gothic areas more than generic area that was destroyed 3 pvp exists, you just dont do it. they are a nice addition, but they could have added more
overall i doubt you played any of these games and your opinions are hot garbage.
DkS > BB > DkS3 > DeS > SotFS
Zachary Flores
>>you have to fight the same enemys every time you die to a boss which makes semi-difficult bosses seem extremely difficult or you could just run straight past them and not be such a pednatic idiot >>you have to mine for bloodvials constantly which makes the game 10 times more monotonous or just buy them. i had so many leftover echos to buy vials i barely ever ran out. unless you're a spastic retard who dies more often than you hit the dodge button >>bosses moves are poorly telegraphed and they aren't helped by the supremely shitty camera not sure what to say to this one. you're shit at the game. what else are you looking for?
Dylan Wilson
i'm in a chalice dungeon with a cooperator, hopefully he dies quickly and I'll run over to grand cathedral
Charles Scott

Charles Young
A few basic items shouldn't cost as much as a level up. It just feels wonky and unbalanced.
No, you cannot respawn enemies using a lamp, also you can only activate a lamp as a checkpoint if it is your first time activating it.
Thinking it's a bad design choice to run 2-3 minutes even with all the shortcuts unlocked is not a matter of "git gud." Stop deflecting all criticisms with git gud when difficulty was not the issue at all
no shield is a flaw as it severly limits possible playstyles
The enemy variety is pisspoor, and each area used a lot of minor variations of the same enemy, or sometimes even the outright same enemy just with higher HP and dealing more damage. Having some unique enemies only in chalice dungeons with such piss poor enemy variety is inexcusable
The environments all largely look the same and have very little variety. The whole game is basically dark gothic castle with the occasional dark forest.
Why do Souls fans have to damage control so hard? It's like they can't acknowledge flaws. I can name many flaws even on my favorite games but that doesn't mean they aren't still great games.
I've played and 100%ed every Souls game in order as they've come out. You probably hopped on the bandwagon with Dark Souls PTDE.
Juan Davis
name 1 (ONE) game that doesnt contain artificial difficulty
Logan Anderson
>you have to fight the same enemys every time you die to a boss you can run past most enemies on the way back to a boss fight >mine for bloodvials Don't waste them. don't use them at all in a boss fight till you have their patterns down >bosses don't move ultra slow and predictably git gud
Blake Richardson
Yukkuri Diary
Landon Robinson
>bosses moves are poorly telegraphed He's probably referring to how DS3 bosses give you a 5 sec warning of when their attacks are coming, whereas BB is fast, natural, and somewhat sporadic at times.
Jason Anderson
But it's not? Literally the entire bridge is scorched, and you already saw the dragon earlier. Should be able to put and two together man. Plus you do actually have enough time to run back to safety from the moment you spotted the dragon to when it actually breathe fire.
Hudson Johnson
If it's too hard just go to another boss. You have chalice dungeons and probably the Witch to kill. And you do know you can run from the enemies, right?
Carson Baker

Tyler Ramirez
I love bloodborne, it's one of my top 10 favorite games of all time. Even I have to agree farming for blood vials is bad. It's just as bad as farming for grass in DeS. 90% of the time a shitty camera is your fault.
Nathan Hall
You know the Souls game cameras when they're locked on are actually kind of terrible, ESPECIALLY against big enemies. It'd be nice if it zoomed out a little more for such occasions.
Henry Martinez
You're not supposed to lock on to big enemies.
Hunter Carter
I finished it, it was the easiest souls-like game I've played. You really are just shit, OP.
Brayden Kelly
Even if that were true that still doesn't excuse the poor camera
Jose Torres
>It's just as bad as farming for grass in DeS. No it isn't at all since grass was dirt cheap and didn't rise in price absurdly high as you went through the game.
You could stock up on loads of grass relatively cheaply and you could use different kinds depending on the situation.
Running out of healing items is hardly ever what kills you. Usually you fall off a cliff, get ohkoed, get caught in a combo, get killed by a stunlocking gank squad, or get killed while trying to heal.
Cameron Reyes
>WOW YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO PLAY THE GAME ARTIFISHAL DIFFICULTY
Matthew Green
Not really overrated. People know it's the second worst Souls game
Aaron Morgan
You haven't even played the game.
If you did, how could you possibly make a post this horrendous?
Julian Hernandez
Nice retort. Almost as good as "no! you're retarded! git gud!"
I like Bloodborne a lot; I like all the Souls games a lot. But I'm not such a blind fanatical fanboy that I can't acknowledge their flaws. Some are outright flaws, some are things that I'm not personally a fan of, but all of them are totally reasonable criticisms. I've played each game for hundreds of hours, gone back and replayed them many times, and I can realize their flaws and strengths.
Owen Ortiz
I said the first time you get there.
The dragon comes from behind you, scorches the bridge, and the stands on top of the building with the bonfire.
After that, its as you said, but the first time is impossible to avoid.
Joshua Perez
>No shield is a flaw as it severely limits possible playstyles
So you're flat out admitting you haven't played the game right? Because there are two shields. But the only playstyle that shields encourage is one of passivity which in no way matches the faster pace of combat.
>the environments all largely look the same. The whole game is basically dark Gothic castle with the occasional dark forest. There's one forest, and how can you completely omit areas like the Nightmare Frontier, Fishing Hamlet, Hemwick Charnal lane, Hunter's Nightmare, central yarnham, and upper cathedral ward, none of which can be surmised as "generic dark Gothic castle".
Nicholas Cook
this. you are just shit. Bloodborne is perfection.
Caleb Watson
Ninja gaiden
Parker Miller
The shields are only there as an inside joke. They serve no real purpose in combat and are not a viable combat tool at all.
There is dark gothic castle, dark gothic forest, and dark gothic cliffside. All look very dark, very similar, and use a lot of the same assets and enemies. I understand that's the theme the game went for, but I prefer the Souls games with various environmental themes that felt different and interesting. It's just personal preference, but it does objectively have a lot less environmental variety. I suppose if you really like that one environment type then that wouldn't be an issue.
Blake Walker
that was one hell of a flying knee
Alexander Sanders
Awful posts. Stop pretending to be a fan of the series nerdboy.
Adrian Cooper
Well I am very big on Bloodborne's setting, it resonated with me a lot, but to say the whole game is simply dark and falls under one.of those three themes/locations is still giving it way less credit then it's due. A large part of the game can be played by daylight before transitioning to night, so the only area guaranteed there is the dark Gothic forest, and the blood moon phase casts the areas in an entirely different light, both literally and proverbially. So with the variations on the areas and all the effort put into making them so immaculate and detailed, it earns the "best setting" of the games from me. None of the others even came close. Haven't played 3 yet though.
If you don't like haunting Gothic architecture and insane cosmic dreamworlds, what fucking setting do you actually enjoy in the souls games?
Grayson Perez
yeah it's pretty eh got it a good while ago alongside gravity rush remastered, still haven't finished it it's an objectively good game, but it's way too grindey. i preferred gravity rush / disgaea / ratchet & clank to it vastly. even infamous: second son was more fun.
it's hardly a bad game but it's nowhere near the "only good PS4 exclusive" and nothing close to the 10/10 that Sup Forums tries to make it out to be i mean, it has good atmosphere, combat is fun, but it spams bad game design fucking everywhere at you under pretense of difficulty
you want real difficulty? make it like hotline miami or super meat boy where you don't need to spend ten minutes grinding between boss attempts
...too bad that will never happen, because then people would be beating their game in ten-twenty hours tops
Joseph Barnes
Wellllllll uhhh what I like is VARIETY!!!! You ever heard of it!?
What I like is a fuking lava level, a snow level, a swamp level, a gothic castle area, AND an evil forest level ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER. Like, one area is totally distinct from the next, no sense of continuity, just VARIETY!!!!!
Parker Williams
>im bad so its artificial difficulty and i dont even know what that means how this thread have so many replies? you can see this guy is retarded or baiting in the first lines of his post.
Logan Baker
Funny guy. Dealing with a comedian here. I don't know who's trolling who anymore but man, Dark Souls 2 sure was fucking garbage. There are people out there who genuinely believe it's a better game than BB. It's enough to make a man sick.
Adrian Wood
How are the attacks not telegraphed? How shit is your reaction time? Keep a distance, observe, and listen for any sound cues.
Xavier Evans
God I want a PC release of bloodborne, it's the souls game that's the most interesting to me.
Camden Smith
>farming for blood vials How shit are you? They drop like fucking leaves in autumn.
Gavin Morales
my biggest problem is the framerate. I don't care what anyone says, 60fps would be better than what we got. it really doesn't feel good to play for long periods of time.
Elijah Cook
>>you have to fight the same enemys every time you die to a boss which makes semi-difficult bosses seem extremely difficult run past them, or just fight them, theyre easier once you know their placement >>you have to mine for bloodvials constantly which makes the game 10 times more monotonous can't defend this, its sucks but thetre easy to grind near where you fight amelia >>bosses moves are poorly telegraphed and they aren't helped by the supremely shitty camera git____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________gud

Are PC gamers (and Xbox gamers) really interested in Bloodborne ? What is there in this game that they want since they already have the Dark Souls series ? Genuinely interested.
Josiah Ramirez
The theme. Dark souls is medieval, BB is lovecraftian.
