HUEY: The Darkest character in MGS?

Huey killed his son's mom, is responsible for the death of hundreds of Mother Base soldiers, nearly destroyed the world by irridiating the vocal cord parasites, taught homicidal children how to repair Metal Gear, put his young son inside of an experimental weapon, and lied about all of that. Then tried to murder suicide his daughter.

Why did he fucking do it? I understand being afraid of living in a private military with a nuke, but he gets more and more inexcusable as you go down the list. He stirs up more bullshit than Skull Face did. Huey is the direct antithesis to the will of The Boss- he's a completely unloyal rat who will betray anyone he is working for in order to get a 'leg up,' so to speak. Unlike Ocelot, Huey truly only answers to himself. There is nobody he wouldn't betray, not his own wife, his own son, his own fucking daughter.

Big Boss, Zero, and Skull Face all do incredibly shitty things, but in the frame of MGS, they don't measure up to Huey. He's literally the evilest person in the series, and Venom Snake lets him go for no reason except that he canonically lives.

When you say it like that he sounds like a well written character

Venom lets him go is his way telling Huey that you can't escape from your own demons.

He was fucking pointless. No one gave a fuck about Otacon's dad. Having him get cucked to death was more than enough. His role in PW and TPP should've been handled by new characters.

>Venom had to let him go so he could get cucked to death
Will admit it would have been nice to watch those DD soldiers tear him apart.

He is well written. Huey is a great deceiver. He actually had me defending him for a good bit and I could understand the characters keeping him as opposed to so many other notorious liar characters where you just wonder why the fuck they listen to them.
A lot of his excuses even hold up until shit gets too big. Lied about his son? Well yeah, they are terrorists torturing him, I'd hide my family's existence from them.
It took me a long time to stop believing his lies.

Venom let him go because that's how they release all other unfit personnel. The things they had Huey nailed on was a murder unrelated to DD operations and mutating the parasite for which there was no way to predict it'd be so fucked-- in fact Code Talker says that that's a way to neutralize them.

They NEVER got proof that Huey knee the inspection was fake. Killing Huey would've set a dangerous precident on Mother Base

I wonder if Huey figured out Venom wasn't really Big Boss. Some scenes show he suspected and I wonder if that affected his actions.

How would that affect his actions though? You'd thimk he'd have less malice for Venom
Can we start calling him Saladin
but he still has that "YOU SAID WE WERE FAMILY" speech in Mission 43.

Cucked by his own on....

Son**

Probably the only well written character in the game if you ask me. I didn't think I'd dig a legit mad scientist in a MGS and especially an Emmerich. If only asshole Big Boss were around for this game to complete the anti-Philanthropy duo. I love that it really underlines the fact that David and Hal were both redeemers of their families.

...

He's loyal to Big Boss. Learning he was an impostor would affect his actions.
And what do you mean Saladin?

You missed the point of the fucking game. The only time Huey "lies" is to protect himself and his son. Huey was/is loyal to Big Boss all of that time, and became loyal to Skull Face as well, which is partially why he killed him. DD's torture and forced labor and containment of Huey is a big part of Outer Heaven's descent into evil.

Basically that scene with the boat is literally Venom Snake throwing out The Boss' will and getting a large step closer to crafting his own identity.

John Big Boss was probably not Sniper Wolf's Saladin. Venom would make more sense. Which would make Venom's true name Saladin.

So what did Skull Face stand to gain from destroying MSF anyway?

>protect his son
The ultimate own goal in the long run, though

BB and SF both had different views of The Boss' Will.

Why call him Saladin?

>Unlike Ocelot, Huey truly only answers to himself.
>being this deluded

Ocelot was so much as a fiddle player and full of lies he could make you believe whatever shit he pulled out of his ass, fuck your shit up and make a profit. The fact that most people can't see that Ocelot is the only true villain of the series further proves my point.

pw and tpp huey are like two different characters. fuck kojima

Venom lets him go so that he can get cucked by his son and kill himself.

Huey is what I thought Otacon was going to be in MGS4. One of my theories back then was that Otacon was a Patriot spy the entire time and would double cross Snake/was responsible for a lot of the shit since MGS.

king of the cucks

this!

Have you forgotten that Ocelot, Liquid and Solidus wanted to destroy the world by destroying the AIs without preserving all the basic human necessities? I know in comparisson, Huey actually succeded on his dastardly acts, but just imagine what would've happened if either of the three men I mentioned would've won?

>Sins of the father is about Huey, not BB

Fuck off, Huey

My favourite part about Huey was how spot on he was about the Diamond Dogs being hypocrites but because he's such an irredeemable shitlord it just comes off as the ramblings of a madman.

The most evil character is pic.

He is the one person who set everything in motion from that nuke alone.

>HUEY: The sexiest character in the series

this makes him more of a plot device than a character

Technically speaking Ocelot hypnotized himself to be Liquid to fool the patriots into killing itself by sending Solid Snake after him. He probably knew about Naomi's virus beforehand.

The answer is simple.

Given that the entirety of MG(S) has become a Big Boss saga where he's a saint that has bouts of misjudgment but is otherwise glorified by Kojima to no end.... someone in his organization had to be the rotten one that does bad things.

Obviously it can't be Ocelot since he's become a fan favorite cool guy as well so characters had to be invented that will somehow explain why Big Boss is doing bad things or why bad things happen around him.

He did know about the virus. But he didn't know about Sunny's modifications. Ocelot wanted to die and leave the world fatally wounded in a frightening effort to realize Big Boss' version of the Boss' dream.

...

>Then tried to murder suicide his daughter.
she wasn't his daughter by blood to be fair
