I told you!

>thought shannon was kanon in ep2
>thought kyrie was the killer in ep3
>I was right

fucking Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton

you mean religion?

>tfw 2009 will never come back

>LOL IT'S SO BLACK THAT YOU CAN'T SEE IT WITH THE NAKED EYE
>then how did we see it at the end
>T-THAT DOESN'T MATTER
>also how did you get us here anyway
>WHO CARES
>and how did the water cause people to faint when a certain noise is made
>THE STORY IS OVER HAPPY ENDING GOODBYE
Even for Layton games this was retarded

If magic exists then it's considered a science no? Because science must be observable and repeated.

daily reminder that gohdatrice is the patrician theory

>people read umineko in 2016
What's the fucking point without all the great threads? You're way too late to the party.

Btw Ryuukishi's favorite twist that something supernatural ends up existing, but just an accessory to something mundane is something he ripped off from Kusarihime.

tfw i finished umineko 1 month ago

reading all those old threads on different archives sure was something

How do you feel about Moogy-denka's sentiments about Umineko?

reddit.com/r/visualnovels/comments/4pov9s/list_23_vns_you_have_decided_against_reading_and/d4ndixi

>Hi, I read the entirety of Umineko as it came out and I feel like I'm being generous when I give it a 4/10. It's a convoluted mess that reads like it was written by a 12 year old. The Japanese fanbase refuses to so much as give Ryuukishi the time of the day nowadays for good reason.

...

>I don't know how the western fanbase continues to put up with Ryuukishi, and I honestly feel that it's damaging to the community as a whole to continue to obsess this much over a single work so long after the fact. The amount of Umineko discussion is one of the reasons people who read untranslated eroge feel so disconnected from the broader western fanbase, and it's not hard to see how stifling this level of obsession can be if you take a step back. This applies to other games as well (Fate and Majikoi, for example) and I suppose to a degree it comes part and parcel with the reality that you guys are exposed to such a tiny slice of what's out there, but when the game in question is something as obviously and majorly flawed as Umineko, I can't help but feel a sense of unease, I guess you could say.

...

>Honestly, I shouldn't have even posted in here. The way I approach the medium as a whole and what I look for out of eroge/VNs are simply too far removed from the western fanbase's to have any sort of meaningful discourse with people using translations, and I accept that. But at the same time, as someone who helped build the community as it is today, I guess I'm unable to fully suppress my irritation at the way it hasn't developed into the ideal I imagined for it over the years.

tl;dr retarded hipster, don't care, stop posting shit from reddit

moogy is a fucking pleb desu and i dont even like umineko that much

Shut up, subhuman.

Is that the best you've got? Pathetic.

Says the EOP subhuman acting smug towards moogy-denka.

I like when in a setting, magic derives from subverting the laws of physics and the constraints of reality via understanding it, except that reality itself is based on the consensus of the population and simple belief and concept is the power of magic and physics themselves.

>moogy mentioned

ye olde relic

Okay, you're repeating yourself now, boring. Put a bit more work into it next time.

>dude, we had countless invisible people following everyone around and knocking people out whenever a spell was cast and nobody ever found these people while they were unconscious
>u figured it out professor :)))

Says an Umineko shitter.

Maybe you should have said the same advice to Ryuukishi.

Isn't a sign of a good work that it's talked about long after it's released, rather than just being a flash in the pan that everybody forgets after a couple months?

it was

Bernkastel did nothing wrong

...

why is Okonogi even relevant to Umineko if not for this kind of theory

>Need to pretend to be retarded to get """good""" ending

Umineko shat the bed with its ending, and counting 2 out of five imaginary friends as real people but not the others because reasons is cheating

Eva did nothing wrong fuck you Kyrie

I think even if Eva didn't manage to do that, Kyrie and Rudolf would have gone on that spree anyway

tl;dr
>ABLOO BLOO BLOO STOP LIKING WHAT I DONT LIKE

once you go retard the only option left is to go full retard

>Rika is Bernkastel
>Nevermind, Bernkastel is a cat

> stop disliking what I like

Typical weeb

she's a witch, stupid

But i thought magic isn't real in Uminako?

>magic
>not real

I named my cat Frederica.
you gotta get rid of your anti-magic toxins

Trianhology comes out in about a week, anyone hype?

I wonder what's up with the Beato and Bern lookalikes. I'm not expecting them to be that similar to their originals though. Bern and Erika were nothing like Rika and Philip Butler was nothing like Battler.

like Stella was nothing like Bern

it's gonna be in Japanese, right? how am I gonna be hyped for something I can't read

[red]Magic is real[/red]

dumb goats detected

By learning. Or waiting for a translation patch, hopefully that won't take too long.

you're a bigger goat for being a mysteryfag

I don't have the time to learn right now
and it will take very long
Witch Hunt took 1 year per Umineko episode

is this wtc5?

Nah, it's a collaboration Ryukishi is doing with Tanaka Romeo and Tonokawa Yuuto. It's somewhat related to Umineko though because it has a witch traveling through three different fragments, who will most likely mess shit up because she's bored. The three fragments are all completely different stories written by the three authors.

who are those two?

The professor layton games are notorious for this.

>game tells you who the killer is
>turns out they aren't really the killer and everyone fell for it

>you and a bunch of other people are with an actual, popular serial killer obsessed with scissors
>she's not actually all that bad compared to what some of the other people you are with

This thread is depressing as fuck. I just found Umineko this year but all the discussion and speculation is dead forever.

>tfw all alone on Rokkenjima

there's really nothing to discuss.

people who hate it or hate how it ended don't realize that the message is, yes you can want to find out the truth, but sometimes you just have to live with not knowing the truth.
