Guess who saw the new Metroid game in development at Retro. Me.
Ask me questions about it and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

>retro
oh fuck off
>dumb unfunny memeshit
primefags are insufferable.
>New Metroid at Retro
>Don't bother revealing it to ease Federation Force tension
Lies
All lies
what the fuck is so wrong with your life that you want to lie about bullshit like this? kill yourself.
Post proof.
Is it 3D or 2D, or 2.5D?
...
>haloid garbage
no thanks, give me more of what nintendo isn't capable of anymore like AM2R.
ebin so fanny this maymay
I'd rather not if possible. Don't believe me if you don't want to. I have nothing to lose.
Nintendo is composed of a bunch of retards
3d my dude
Sup, Konami Insider? is Chp. 3 coming out soon yet or what?
>Don't believe me if you don't want to.
don't worry, no one does. stupid fuck.
stupid
>my dad works for nintendo
No point in getting frustrated, buddy
How many foreign objects get inserted into Samus? Do we learn her fetish?
>I'd rather not if possible
Alright guys abandon thread just another shitposter, nothing to see here
Interesting. You've got your hands on a real relic. I'll have to check to see if I still have that leaked list.
>Njeffy !!n3NnuxbeoCg
>I'm a furry and this alarms me.
Is Sylux a cute girl who does cute stuff with the baby Metroid that hatched in Federation Force?
I'm an intern at a company that works closely with Retro Studios. You aren't going to get any more of a specific answer than that though
>believe me guys
>hey you gotta buy it man it's that gay as halo reskin you all love
>totally believable right?
How shit is the NX?
does it look like shit?
What was the setting?
I feel like MP4 will just be generic zones like MP1 but with a gameplay gimmick like Sylux hunting in SA-X/Nemesis fashion.
Sad!
why are you lying?
When will it chronologically take place?
I didn't get to use it, but it seems pretty uninspired as far as Nintendo consoles go. I didn't get to see a ton of its features because I was just watching other people play the game, but it seemed like everything they were doing could have done with a generic controller. No gimmicks or anything.
As a metroid fan, it looked fucking awesome
Very reminiscent of Prime 1 but with more variety. I saw an area that looked similar to Talon Overworld but during a bright sunny day. It was actually slightly pleasant but still maintained that metroid feeling of dread
From what I understand, almost right after Federation Force. Which I think is right before 2
Is Sylux cool?
Also was/is Retro working on anything else or have anything planned aside from Metroid?
>prime is like halo meemery
please child.
>reminiscent of Prime 1 but with more variety
More on that, I saw an ice area that was in the process of melting. Ice caves were dripping and it was overall very atmospheric.
From what I saw Sylux is very cool.
Retro is also currently working on an original IP. Not totally sure which project is getting more focus
Prove it. Sketch the final boss of the game
>denying it
please gamecubebabby
How the hell am I supposed to know what the final boss looked like.
I just saw parts of the game, I didn't play through it in full
All the people who worked on Prime at Retro are long gone. Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies....
tfw some of them are at 343 working on shitty halo games
>Original IP
More details please
How long has Prime 4 been in development?
Guys. I am also an insider from a company that works closely with Retro. Ask me anything.
Fine. When will it be released? What's their purpose in hiding it from us?
I don't know about it and I don't know how long Prime 4 was in development.
It looked pretty far into development though. I don't know about game design but it looked at least a year?
I really don't know the answers to this kind of stuff. I'm just a dude who was lucky to see it. Not an employee there or anything
Most of them are working on Re:Core with Inafune, which even fucking feels like some Prime/MM hybrid. Hell you can even see the super obvious spider ball mechanic in the E3 trailer.
If you had nothing to lose you'd be fucking telling us what you were doing there.
as if there was any doubt
>Inafune
tell me lies. Tell me sweet little lies.
How long were you able to watch?
Did you see any new abilities?
How do you know Sylux is in the game?
Why is it called Metroid Prime when Metroid Prime died and there is no more Phazon?
What the fuck gives you the right to lie like this?
Please respond.
>tfw some of them are at 343 working on shitty halo games
so exactly the same as primeshit then?
>i diddnt own both xbox and gamecube.
>you arent meeming
Except with terrible atmosphere and nothing interesting to be found.
>complaining about memes while posting other memes
really makes you think
I saw an estimated 45 minutes of gameplay.
I don't think anything new new, but I was surprised to see what looked like Diffusion missiles from Fusion.
I saw him in the game.
I never said it was called Metroid Prime. Its going by the name Metroid: Tempest
>I'm just a dude who was lucky to see it. Not an employee there or anything.
>Can't give credibility.
Welp, the already obvious has just been confirmed.
How did you see it?
his uncle works at nintendo
Kinda luck I guess. Not going into too much detail, me and a few other people went to Retro Studios offices, and we were able to see what they were working on.
It wasn't presented to me or anything like that.
Does it control like classic prime, or is it more like a modern FPS?
Do you still lock onto enemies and dodge-strafe around them and shit?
Pffft
Do the Federation mechs appear?
Retro did design them
From what I could tell it had too ways to play based on your preference. The game looked more tailored to traditional fps gameplay though.
Not in what I saw. There were generic fed troops though
Saged, filtered, reported and hidden.
Check my fucking 6
7
>From what I could tell it had too ways to play based on your preference
How could you tell that from simply watching a random dev play through the game?
Does Retro still have a motion capture studio?
One of the players playing was clearly locking on and strafing around an enemy, while another player was simply shooting at it quake style
no idea
What does Sylux do with the baby Metroid?
What new IP idea does Retro have?
I didn't see much of the plot/cutscenes if there are any.
I can say however that I saw multiple times one of the players casually exploring, and Sylux would show up out of nowhere ready for a fight. I couldn't tell if the sequences were scripted or not, but they seemed random.
Only one of these encounters introduced him with a quick cutscene shot of him diving in, and carrying a tube with the baby Metroid
did you get to hear any music?
No. Everyone was working with their headphones on
bumping the thread in case there are any more questions before I go to bed
Any new weapons?
Mostly standard stuff. Like I said in a previous post, a weapon that looks uncannily like Diffusion Missiles
Does Sylux have an army or are Space Pirates back?
why are you lying?
Space Pirates seemed to be the main enemy
Is it called Prime again to bank on the name, or is it called a new subtitle like it should be?
Metroid: Tempest
Will it be on Wii U? I mainly got it expecting a metroid game at some point and I don't plan on buying an NX unless Nintendo gets their head out of their ass
I have no idea. The gameplay i saw definitely looked like it couldn't run on a wii u graphically
fuck
What do you know about where it falls in the timeline? Are we looking at another filler between games, or is this meant to be Metroid 5?
OP, I hope you're not lying, even though you probably are.
From what I can tell and what I know, between FF and Metroid 2
Why are you getting metroid fans hopes up.
They were perfectly happy with AM2R dont go getting them all riled up to be disappointed again.
Fuck's sake. Why the fascination with the space between Metroid 1 and 2? Can't we move forward already?
What made you retarded?
does the grapple beam come out of her arm cannon or the back of her off-hand?
Hate to cut this short guys but I have work in the morning.
I will probably remake this thread tomorrow and will take more questions at that time. Goodnight
Hand
According to this guy Fed Force is now canon.
Literally nobody gives a shit about story progression in Metroid outside of self-contained arcs. There isn't a grand narrative, and the focus of the games isn't narrative to begin with.
Fedforce has always been canon, as seen from the ending which has ties to Prime 3's ending.
Japanese Metroid team wrote themselves into a corner with Fusion (or at least they think they did, since there are only idiots with no creativity left) so Retro's got to set up loose threads in the past that can be pulled on in the future.
Honestly though I don't fucking care about timeline shit in the slightest, I just want a good game.
>Metroid Prime
>No more Metroid 2D
Fuck this shit, I'm out of here.
I doubt it will ever be mentioned again. Actually showing us Sylux stealing a Metroid didn't even need to be a scene for it to be established later on.
You just got a fantastic 2D Metroid.
what game would you compare the graphics to?
> loyallist nintendofags trying to claim AM2R as their own.
Face it, Nintendo doesn't know how to make metroid crawl anymore.
What?
OP is a fucking fake, I'm a real leaker. Ask me anything.
With the advent of Fan-based Metroid games we now have an opportunity to take the franchise out from the curtain of sloppy stagnation at the hands of nintendo.
If you don't want this to happen then you are shit and you deserve to burn in a fire.
Well what controller were they using nignog
Shit, good going user.
